Not the worst gel nails ever. Done by Tiffany then the owner because he had to takeover. The manicure portion was fine but she filed the nail surface and didn't refine it so that the nail surface was very rough. When she started to apply polish I made her aware of this and let her know that I didn't want bubbles surfacing. She told me that it had to be like that otherwise the polish wouldn't stick. What??? I have had gel nails for years and let her know that it wasn't true. She would polish the nail put it under the UV light then apply more polish, while popping the surfacing bubbles, then adding more polish. When the owner took over he preceded to pop all of the bubbles that were surfacing as her polished my nails. Then he kept piling on polish to try to cover the bubbles. Three coats of nail polish and two of clear polish. Then he said he had to touch up a nail and put more polish over the clear coat. The result? An ugly lumpy manicure. He told that he would only charge half because I was unhappy then added $5 for taking off the original gel coat. Everywhere that I have ever had a gel coat polish, removing the old polish was part of the charge, not an additional charge. Jackie did my feet, she did a good job. I tipped her. One thing that I didn't like was that as I was getting worked on, people would come in and ask how much the gift certificates for a spa pedicure were. It was the day before Mother's Day. They kept quoting the most expensive one ($27.00) they have three options, ($20, $25, $27.00), but didn't bother telling people. That didn't sit well with me. I will not return because I do not trust the integrity of the owner. Maybe I went on a bad day, try them out for yourself. Many people have written positive reviews, so they can't be all bad. Generation Nails, isn't for me. read more

This place is awesome! Found it on yelp on a girls trip. They were friendly and professional. We all received great pedicures and manicures at affordable prices. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I have been coming here for years (like 5+) and will not be coming back after the experience I had today. The basic manicure I received was poorly executed. I filed my own nails, she cut my finger to the point where it was bleeding and is all red and when I asked her to file my nails to make them even she filed it so low my raw skin is now exposed. The pedicure I received was only half of what it normally is and when I complained to the owner he told me I was wrong. I complained to the second owner (his wife) and she told me she'd review cameras to make sure they did it right. Whatever happened to making the customer feel good? It's supposed to be a spa experience. I will take the extra 5 minutes to drive to the la habra location. It really makes me sad to have this experience; especially since I've been such a long time customer but I can't go back after the owners acted that way. My mom had a similar experience where they started working on her nails and left her sitting there for over 45 minutes with a half set of acrylics on. She ended up leaving and driving to their la habra location where they finished her nails. Take the extra 5 minutes and drive to la habra for the location there. The owners of that location actually care about your business. read more

I went here on a Friday afternoon and they got to me within 10 minutes, as promised. I enjoyed my mani/pedi more than some of the other places I've tried in the area. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let it fool you, they do a really good job. I would have gone with 5 stars but I don't like the piece meal approach, where they ask if you want something and tell you how much extra it is. Just give me a menu and let me pick my package then we can end the adding game. But overall it was great and I will be returning regularly. read more

The price here is amazing! The quality of the manicure would cost 30$ at any other nail salon for sure! Loved the customer service and will come again very soon! read more

Came here today for the 1st time...right away they try to upsell you to gel pedicure. Reg $17(which I saw a sign on ladys cart that said $15) and gel is $22..so I fell for it. Then they try to upsell you on the rest of the pedicure stuff...I'm already $10 over what I normally pay. So then it starts..the head guy does my gel manicure..he is rushing as they b.v begin to get busier...I mean ok... I've had worse but the 1 minute massage..now that's JUST WRONG..He couldn't get to the next customer fast enough and the lady doing my pedicure..I had to ask her 5 times to trim length more...she seemed annoyed. The gel seems ok on toes..however gel I've had in past on nails it seems to be sealed on the top to prevent chipping..so WHY DID SHE TAKE A FILE TO THE TOP OF MY TOES after the gel had been applied??? At the very end she decided to file the tops of my toes..she rubbed my foot about 30seconds..possibly less. That's the best part..the part I pay the money for and they FAILED..I was just a number to get out as quick as possile.. I left there truely disappointed and $42 poorer. So..On to the next for me... I'll never be back. read more

Love love love this salon!! I was looking for a new place to get my nails done since my last one was getting a bit pricy, so I decided to try this place out because of the awesome yelp reviews & I was not disappointed! They just gained a new regular for sure. I was a bit skeptical at first when I arrived by the outside look, but the inside was very clean & they are also expanding into the place next door which is cool. The staff is super friendly and I fell in love quickly. They care about providing you the best service and take the time to learn your names & talk to you. They were adorable and beyond awesome. My nails came out perfect! They really took their time and their work showed that, the job was great! The girls who were helping me out were Jennifer & Tiffany I believe, so I would defiantly recommend them. But all of the girls were super friendly so I feel like you would be in good hands with any of them, including justin who came up & introduced himself and made sure I was having a good experience. I was overly satisfied with my visit & will return every time I get my nails done. I recommend this spot to everyone who's looking for great quality! read more

La Brea Nails - So in love with these beauties Absolutely amazing job!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Fullerton, California

came here because apple nails across the road couldn't take me until 4 hours later. Still got what I wanted for an affordable price. And they're nice, which is a plus -- although I always have a hard time understanding what they're saying. read more

This place is the best nail place ever very professional staff and always polite. I will never go to a nother nail place again. The prices are very reasonable also. read more

This is more of a 3 1/2 not 3. I liked the price for gel nails with a design $25, not bad when I've spent so much more. The ladies seemed friendly enough. One gave me to another lady when her regular client walked in the door, but she offered me a water bottle and on a hot day, that was greatly appreciated. The lady that took over my gel manicure commented on my "picked at" cuticles and short nail bed, what can I say, I have small hands. The nail design on my right hand is crooked and towards the end when their "regulars" started pouring in, my manicure was rushed for their more lucrative clientele. The color I showed them in the photo I had on my phone was not yhe color i ended up with, but that's fine because my end result matches fine. It's ok, this was my first time and I will possibly try it again, unless I find someplace better. Overall the experience wasn't bad, maybe they do only deserve a 3. I also failed to mention she cut my pinky and I started bleeding, what can I say, I'm a bleeder. read more

This place is awesomely amazing! The owners were the ones that worked on me and they were great! It is a small family owned shop and the couple owners are soooo cute! They even had their kids there and they were super friendly. This place is a must go. read more

Generation Nails is the best nail salon in the area! Ive tried other places but it just doesn't compare! I have been coming here for many years and always have a great experience. Justin and Jennifer take great care of you when you come in to get a mani/pedi. They recently just expanded the salon and have made the salon bigger and better. The remodel looks great! The prices are affordable and the service is great! I always get the spa gel manicure and they have many great colors to choose from. Also, they are great at nail art and designs, especially around the holidays! The spa pedicure comes with a foot scrub, massage, and is finished with a massage tool. They don't require appointments and will take you in even if they are busy. You never have to wait long! They also offer massage/facial and waxing! read more

Pretty good 1st experience. Great customer service. Prices are reasonable. Hard time matching Gel with non Gel color. Foot massage was really good. Will definitely try a second visit. read more

Great service at a reasonable price. Everyone in there including the customers are super friendly. First time in definitely will be back.

It's going on almost a year since I have been going to "La Brea Nails". I could not be happier with my nails/pedi. Koi, who is the professional technician who has been caring for me is amazing & such a delight every visit. The kindness, time, & patients, that he has is such a breath of fresh air. Someone who listens to what you want & does exactly what you are asking for is a true blessing & Koi does just that. I am so grateful to have him as a professional technician & friend. But I also have to thank Jimmi for pairing me up with Koi...good choice. My nails & toes have been perfect. But I also must say, " Jimmi " is just perfect. He knows exactly which technician to pair you up with & which technician is best for you. Thank you so much for all your kindness & great work. Love you guys! read more

I recently went in as a first time customer and the environment of the salon was so welcoming. Jimmii was able to give me a beautiful set of coffin acrylic nails for a family event of mine and I've gotten so many compliments since. The prices are completely reasonable especially for the quality work you receive. The employees are so sweet and really attentive to what you want. read more

I went to get a pedicure in July 2015. When I arrived there were a few customers there, but I didn't have to wait at all. The salon was very clean, and I was happy to see some tools soaking in barbacide. Michelle was the woman who did my nails. She did an AMAZING job. Seriously the best pedicure I've had in at least a year. Plus, the price was fantastic...I think it was $27 including the callus scrub. I will definitely go back. read more

This place is by far one of the worst salons. It's dirty and they do a terrible job with everything. The women who waxed me was so rough and she over plucked my eyebrows so bad. I was devastated. I looked terrible. The nails job was another story. It was sloppy and the gel started lifting after one week. Never again will I go here. Not sure how they're still I business with the dirty looking facility they operate. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and it's nice when people remember your name when you walk in the door. It's little touches like that and how they always make sure you are comfy and have a bottle of water that keep you coming back. Justin and Jennifer are on vacation but cousin Jimmii is gonna take good care of you! He makes you are satisfied every step of the way and is funny, too! The girls are great with pedicures (you can't go wrong no matter who you get) and the massages are .com read more

Jimmi has been doing a great job for me. My nails are beautiful and everyone here is friendly. The shop is very clean and is very comfortable atmosphere. I moved here last year and a took a while but so glad I found this salon! It's even walking distance from my house.. can't ask for more than that!! read more

Johnny was amazing!!!! He gave me the coffin shape of my dreams and took great care of me. I'll be back for sure.

Slightly more than what I was hoping to spend but Trina did a wonderful gel manicure for me. Clean place and friendly staff.

Very clean salon and the staff are extremely nice and personable. The prices are great. I did a deluxe pedicure for $27 and a basic manicure for $12. They took their time and were extremely detail-oriented. Worth every penny! They were so great, it compelled me to write my first ever Yelp review. Definitely going back and bringing friends! read more

I LOVE Generation Nails! This gem of a nail salon is really the best place that I have ever been to, and I have been to a million nail salons!!!! The owners and nail technicians are SO sweet, and take their time when doing your manicures and pedicures. They give the best foot massages, and my nails always look perfect when they are done. Their gel manicures LAST at least 2 weeks! They just remodeled this location, so they have extra chairs and space, making it easier to get a seat. I would recommend making an appointment because they are popular, but they do take walk-ins if you decide to get your nails done at the last minute. They have another location in La Habra that is just as great. Thank you Generation Nails for making my fingers and toes look so pretty!!!!!! read more

I've been going to generation for 7 years, In between occasionally I'd visit different nail salons my friends have been to but was never satisfied as much as I would be here at generation.. They can do anything from amazing designs to just regular colors.. I have NEVER been disappointed in they're service or what they've done for me, I've gotten just about anything you could think of from acrylics to my eyebrows being done.. they're super friendly and always personalize people's visits.. they know my sisters my mom and even my ex boyfriend. (lol) they get to know everyones name and make them feel welcomed. Every person I've recommended generation to has loved it just as much as I do, they always try and take you as fast as they can and since they remodeled recently they have more chairs and are able to take even MORE people which is so awesome. I highly recommend everyone try generation, you'll love everyone's smiles and welcomes. I am forever a happy customer:) read more

La Brea Nails - never fails to disappoint me with anything i go in to get, if I have crazy ideas or just something simple it comes out amazing!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Fullerton, California

I've been coming here for years and will continue because of the great service! They never disappoint with there attention to detail. Each of the nail technicians are so friendly and never forget your name even if it's your first time coming. I always bring my friends and they become regulars as well. If you're getting a pedicure the DELUXE is a definite must. Sit back and relax and know you're in good hands. :) read more

Very bad service!!!!!! I had an appointment and they wanted me to wait 30 minutes pass my appointment time. I told them I couldn't and I had to be somewhere the man (which happens to be one of the owners) didn't care and told me to leave if I couldn't wait. Very rude!!!!!! read more

Very nice people here! They have a plethora of colors and the prices are listed on the wall so there's no guessing game. I didn't catch the name of the lady that did my manicure, but she was quick, yet very thorough. I'm pretty shy, so it was nice to not feel too awkward when I can't even manage small talk. When she painted the nails she was very meticulous and left no bumps in her job. Other places I've gone to have left them so bumpy, this is the first set of gel that I've had done that look pretty smooth when you look at them on the side. Over all very good job, and the price was better than a lot of places. Thanks again! :) read more

My favorite nail place! Love both of their locations. They're so friendly always fast and nails and toes always look great! Been coming here for 4 years and have never been let down! read more

I feel like it's maybe more like 2.5 stars, but I guess 3 will be fine because they're all very nice there! They're quite expensive though! For a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, it was $70!! My gel manicure wasn't as nice as I had hoped for the price (they chipped after two days!) and the pedicure was my grandmas and they had bumped her toe with her shoe and didn't say anything and didn't fix it so needless to say, I won't be back just because there are so many other places to go to. Again, they were nice, but I'd rather have a nice manicure and pedicure since that's really what we pay for at the end of the day. read more

I requested a pedicure w/ a particular manicurist. I'm there 5 minutes until the woman I requested says abruptly I have somebody. The lady at the front says you can come back at 2:30. I tell her I'll take someone else then she tells me after sitting a while that the other manicurist is busy you come back later. Here we go again businesses in a predominately African American neighborhood being rude. I don't care how many black customers you have your manicurist was rude and the other manicurist acted as though he didn't want to do my pedicure. I'll gladly give my money to someone else. Nail shop come a dime a dozen...Never again read more

Worst experience I have ever had! I was in the area and stopped in to get a fill and was disappointed. My nails weren't competely covered and the acrylic was so thick! I was unhappy so the owners told me to come back the next day and get a new set on the house. I went back the next day and the lady who owns the shop refused to soak my acrylics off... she ripped them off of me and made my nails bleed. She was rude and upset when my friend who came with me refused to let her do her nails. I am NEVER going back! read more

I have been here twice already for a pedicure. Both times I received great service. I have tried several other nail salons in the area and this is by far the best place I have been to. The salon is clean and the manicurists are friendly. They do a good massage here and time it so you know you are getting the same service every time. They also gave me a water bottle when I sat down and I thought that was very sweet. No other nail place I have been to does that. It is also inexpensive. read more
