Wine offerings by the glass are poor- they need to improve with some better choices. Owner is very welcoming ! Went there because my friend's daughter just graduated from high school and they were celebrating her achievement. The place was nice and quaint. It wasn't the biggest spot out there, but it had enough space to fit a large party of around 40 people. Service was good. Can't complain. Friendly and attentive. Food was good. I had the Salmon, my brother had the pork chop and my wife had the chicken Parmegiana. They were tasty. Not bad. If I were in the area again, I might just drop by. read more

This is a hidden gem, excellent customer service, nice ambiance and delicious food. The owner is on site and very warm to all guests. We were offered a delicious pistachio liquor shot after dinner which was complimentary and a nice touch. The staff is attentive, efficient and friendly. There was valet parking as well. read more

There's simply not a bad thing that can be said. That it's not more packed is so surprising. It's the best little gem on Staten Island. My wife and I go to La Bottiglia whenever we get the chance. We've eaten a good portion of the menu and have never been disappointed. The burrata appetizer, the baked clams, the meatballs- absolutely delicious! Our personal favorite entree is the fra diavolo with squid ink pasta. Out of this world! The veal with arugula- outstanding! Salmon- cannot go wrong. The service is outstanding. The staff have a very good feel for their clientele, and know when and when not to approach a table. They're very attentive, but not intrusive. This has become my favorite Italian restaurant on SI. You can have your Patrizias, Da Noi's, Villa Monte's, etc. I'll stick with La Bottiglia. read more

We came here because my friend recommended it. So my family and I wanted to try it out and glad we did! It is pretty big inside. The staff was very nice and attentive! We came on a Wednesday at 6pm. It was nice to find out that they have an option of a prefixed menu for Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm. You were given choices of an appetizer, entree and dessert for about $29.95. Some entrees had an additional $8 charge. The grilled salmon had an $8 additional cost. I still thought it was very reasonable for what you get. Some of us ordered from that menu and others ordered from the regular menu. Appetizers: Fried zucchini Baked clams Mozzarella caprese Entrees: Ravioli with burrata Risotto with shrimp Grilled chicken caprese Grilled salmon Dessert Tiramisu Tartufo Cassatelle We enjoyed all of our food! Awesome dinner we enjoyed for Father's Day! We tried the grilled octopus, calamari, meatballs, and the special fried zucchini flowers- all delicious! Mushroom risotto was decent- there was a mix of mushrooms and I like how they topped it with a whole burrata. Backstory: I was driving by and saw a restaurant that looked new to me and you know how I love to support new local businesses. Location: This restaurant looks classy on the outside on a very unassuming street. Port Richmond Ave. looks like little Mexico however this restaurant stands out and street parking was very easy on a Sunday night. First impression: There were some drunk mexicans asking the owner for a light in front. The owner opened the door for me when I asked if they were open. The place was somewhat empty in the front and some patrons in the back. I asked to sit at the bar by myself since I just wanted to try an app. The bar stool was comfy and spacious. There is a screen up front where businesses are able to advertise on which gave a bit of a chili's feel however as a start up business, I can't knock the hustle. Get money where you can as you're building your following. Food: The baked clams were some of the best I've ever tried at an italian restaurant, not overpowered by butter or breadcrumbs. I'm Chilean, adopted into a Sicilian family, so I have a very high bar for food. The chef is VERY talented and I will def be back to request spicy fra diavolo or eggplant rollatini (Both not on the menu however wishful thinking). The focaccia and tapenade offered just to sit down was delish, warm and crisp. I didn't try the plain bread. I would love to come back to try the linguini with clams (white sauce) or the squid ink. Staff: Jennifer the bartender is a gem, very conversational and informative. The chef's son is one of the waiters and extremely hospitable & the waitresses from Colombia were absolutely enchanting. I felt right at home conversing with everyone. Even the chef's wife works as staff. I had minimal interaction with Nino, the owner, however this is expected as a person trying an app at the bar- he was attentive to consumers in the back enjoying a full meal making sure they were satisfied. Ambience: The lighting was dim, some blue glow by the bar, rustic decorations strewn about the restaurant. Good for a family sit down as well as a romantic destination. Even good for a ladies night out as their drink specials are pretty diverse and on the strong side. read more

Food and service were amazing! Potion sizes were large, food was cooked to perfection. Every dish we had was great and we all couldn't stop raving about it. Food came out quick and service was top notch. There was always a server near by to clean dishes, replace silverware, refill waters and get more beverages. Highly recommend coming here! This is the kind of place you feel like family. The owner Nino goes table to table welcoming everyone. The servers are attentive and friendly. The mussel appetizer in wine sauce was delicious!! Probably the tastiest I've had. Portions were good and they are very accommodating. My son couldn't decide between chicken parm or penne vodka and they gave him chicken parm with a side of Penne vodka. Chilean sea bass special was very tasty. We went there on Saturday after the restaurant was recommended by a friend. Parking is available at the key food parking lot (two minutes away). The place looked great and the food was great.
