Congratulations on finding this great establishment. With quite a bit of competition of other restaurants nearby, don't be tempted to look elsewhere. Just stop here, have an empanada, and you will be very pleased you did. Situated on the corner of the street, La Bota offers outdoor and indoor seating. I came here with my sister and niece. Meaning that children are welcome. There is a large projector playing a movie from the 1940s on a wall. The decor highlights the ambience of this restaurant/bar. Mood lighting, quotes about love, mannequin on the bar, combinations of wood, brick and candlelight. American rock plays on the speakers. It's a perfect place for a drink, or even for a date. A mixture of casual and classy. The waitress is friendly and professional, very efficient at bar tending and waitressing at the same time. I ordered the chorizo with potatoes, thinking it'd be a bowl of the ingredients. Instead, it was elegantly presented on skewers with fresh red bell pepper. The meat was delicious and came with a lightly spicy salsa. Yum. I tried a number of empanadas- the spinach, meat, another meat, and onion. So amazing! Wow! Also had the gnocchi which had a delicious marinara sauce, a little too spicy for the tastes of my 9 year old niece. The sangria is red wine based with fruit. It was light. There is an additional back room which I imagine is very popular. Free WiFi and bathroom available to customers. My niece was confused by the bathrooms thinking the closed sliding door meant there was one bathroom and in use. There are two stalls that share one sink. This is a great restaurant and I feel so excited to be the first to review it. What an honor. read more
