First meal in Paris. Maybe because I didn't order the right item, I found this restaurant not wow. I got the "Made in Taiwan". It was ok. The portion size was huge but the flavor wasn't wow. The noodles were lacking. The noodle isn't the kind of noodle I liked. I found them too firm. Tofu seemed to be over cooked. On the brightside, the greens in the noodle were super fresh. B had the pastrami sandwich.He liked it. Fries were ok. The decor isn't wow here. I found this place though google and Yelp. This restaurant had a lot of history and story behind it. This was our first meal upon arriving in France, as we were staying nearby. We were not disappointed in the slightest! The moment we stepped inside, the environment was welcoming and cozy. There is also ample outside seating for when the weather is warm. Our waitress was fantastic, and she even tried to help us out in English with the menu. I ended up ordering the chicken Caesar salad, and we shared the cheese tray. The meal came with baguettes, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. My food was delicious, and the chicken on the salad was cooked great. The cheese tray was good as well, and we enjoyed trying the three different styles offered. Overall, I would definitely eat lunch here again. read more

I have not been here for dinner since the shootings of some years ago. I've been anxious to try the food and I was not disappointed. The ceviche starter was very good, with a generous serving of avocado, and the shakshuka mains were delicious and authentic. Good pricing, good service, and really glad to see that the place has recovered and is thriving. read more

I ate here about once a week while I was visiting Paris in the Summer of 2016. The inside is quaint and stylish. The food is absolutely delish. The staff is fantastic, they give great service and will always help you make a decision on what to get! I had their chicken satay, a dish I favor in the states and they classed it up! Typically served on a skewer these were thin chicken breasts, covered in sauce served on a bed of rice. So good! My favorite dish there, may seem so basic, but their cesar salad. It blows any salad I have had in the US out of the water. Hard boiled eggs are in it, a large fresh chicken breast, and all the ingredients taste fresh. I've had their burgers, also fabulous and their hot chocolate! I have never left unsatisfied and will be my go-to place if I ever find myself in Paris again. read more

So glad I found this restaurant while I was in Paris. Although this restaurant is frequented by locals (entire menu is in French), the staff was very helpful in giving us a run down of what everything on the menu was. I ordered the shakshuka and my boyfriend ordered the rumsteak platter. Both were delicious and super flavorful! They both came with soft boiled potatoes on the side which were also delicious. I loved their coffee selections here. My cafe glace was made perfectly for me! I like my caffeine on the sweeter side and this was a perfect little sweet treat. Overall, the food here is amazing. First, the good: the atmosphere is great, the service lovely. But the food? Not so. I had salmon tare tare with avocado and fries. The avocado was fairly brown, the fries were mostly soggy, and the salmon was more of a ceviche - it was so citrusy that the meat was curing. This was probably a good thing as it covered up the taste of what was, in my opinion, not the best fish. That being said, I am from Alaska and my salmon expectations are higher than most; I should have known better than to order it here. I will not go back but I also don't regret paying them a visit. The place was packed and for all I know their other dishes could be phenomenal. Then again, the soggy fries make me think that that may not be the case. read more

This cafe is such a little gem. I stayed right across the street during my week in Paris, and was glad this cafe was so close! While most of the restaurants in the neighborhood closed between the hours of 2:30PM-7PM, this cafe & its kitchen were open. The food is delicious, and all the waiters were very friendly. One of them even jokingly asked for a selfie, haha! I loved this cafe - so cute and laid-back. I highly recommend it. I also didn't realize this was one of the places that were attacked in November 2015 until I read about it - so crazy as this is such a friendly/welcoming neighborhood. read more

Its our last day in Paris and we want to have our last Parisian meal to hit the spot... and it hit right bulls eye. I recommend this place! The kitchen was just about to open, but the staff were very friendly and gave us the menu to look over. We sat and had a coffee first. The place is situated near the road but its actually very nice being able to watch the traffic and people go by. Its not as loud as youd think either... The place has its own background music and it fills in with the city life just right. When the kitchen was ready we both ordered the daily special and I have to admit I still could not figure out exactly the sauces used for the meat and vegetables. It was purely delicious and very cheap compared to what we had encountered throughout Paris. While we were enjoying our time at this lovely place, the name kept on bugging me. Then finally it hit me, it was one of the places that was targeted in the Paris terror attacks on Nov. 13, 2015. The place itself does not reflect any damage or hint of this attack. I contend this is the best place in that district and it truly reflects the hipster atmosphere and the young people in the neighbourhood. read more

The best restaurant experience during our 2.5 week trip in Europe. Every single thing we had was amazing. The cheese fondue out of this word. Stumbled in on a whim and so happy we did! Service was awesome. Lorenzo sat and explained the French menu to us in English and gave us perfect suggestions. We had the white fish tartare, unbelievable, and a pasta with Gorgonzola. Friendly little neighborhood bistro. Had the plat du jour - brochette de boeuf - with a fabulous spicy onion sauce and puree of sweet potatoes. Simple, flavorful, elegant. Sat at an outside table to enjoy the passersby, and it's not unpleasantly loud even though you're on the corner of an intersection. Prompt and pleasant service. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Hard to believe this place was chosen for a terrorist attack - seems surreal to think about it a year later. read more

What a fun little place! The environment was super laid back; guests seat themselves wherever they would like and a little bar is located in the mid-front of the restaurant. You get a sense of large open space because the indoor and outdoor seatings are connected. The waiter was super charismatic and spoke English fluently to us (with a beautiful accent, of course!). I recommend the satay chicken entree; it was seasoned to the point and you just want that taste to last in your mouth forever! Being in France I got a terrible flu and all I could want was some soup at this point so while we were ubbering to our hotel we stopped short and decided to stop in to this restaurant last night. I stumbled upon this jewel of a bistro, just walking by and it was time for lunch. The place was perfect, got a table right away, and was made to feel most welcome ( even as a tourist ) Simple lunch, but exquisite: Parmentier de Canard, kind of fancy version of shepherd's pie but with stewed duck in a rich brown sauce and the potatoes were the perfect compliment. Dessert was a creme blur, perhaps one of the best I've had in Paris (or any where for that matter ) The bill came to 34,80 for one, that included a ¼ of Cotes de Rhone and an espresso. This is a great restaurant with very friendly service. I am from out of town and do not speak French but the waiter was still able to communicate with me and helped me decide what I want. The food was pretty good about 4/5 I got the chicken burger and it was pretty good. If you are looking for a fast and not too expensive place to eat I would recommend here. read more
