I come here somewhat regularly- its the closest pizza restaurant to my house. While its not the best pizza Ive ever eaten , its decent. The pizza lacks substance. Very thin crust with minimal sauce and cheese. The sauce/ cheese ratio to the crust isn't ideal. Ordered mozzarella sticks as an app. Then ordered two pasta dishes with house dressing on salads. The app still wasn't out after 20 minutes but our salads were We waited to eat salads in hopes that the sticks would be out soon. we asked the server and she said they were working on it. After another 10 minutes we decided to start eating salads, the sticks came out 5 minutes later and we told her to take them back. Our meal came out a couple minutes later. A move from Menands and the pandemic have kept me from going back to LaBella's Pizza. After getting our vaccinations, two of my friends and I decided to try out LaBella's for a quick get-together. I was happy that the food has not diminished since my last visit. My go to is an antipasto; which at LaBella's it is for two. Yes indeed, it is big enough to be shared by two or more people. Friends chose dinners which they also took half home as well. I order from here all the time and recently a new owner took over and doubled the price of a quart of sauce from $10 to $20. It's the same sauce and same size container and he's charging double . I will not be giving the new owner any business which is a shame because we enjoy their food. I know the price of everything goes up but doubling it within a week is absolutely crazy. read more

On Saturday June 26th, La Bella Pizza catered my brother's 60th birthday party.The order was ready at the promised time. The most notable thing about our food was the quality of the red sauce. It had a very dense tomato flavor.It was delicious. Portions were large.The Ricotta in the stuffed shells was very fresh The Chicken Cutlets were tender and tasty.The Meatbals were fantastic. Very popular place for dinner, especially on the weekends (there could be a short wait for a table). Formerly a bus garage, LaBella serves appetizers, pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches, Italian dinners, soft drinks and beer. The prices here are reasonable (many dinners under $13). LaBella's was expanded and newly renovated recently. The main dining room has a long row of booths, tables, flat panel TV on the wall, and framed printed art on the walls. The food here is pretty good. The Baked Ziti ($11.95) and Lasagna ($11.95) each served with a garden salad or soup & garlic bread are my favorite dinners. LaBella also has good deep dish pizza and great calzones!! The service in the dining room and the takeout counter are pretty good too!!! The calzones ($7.50) are filled with ricotta, mozzarella, & parmigiano cheeses, each additional topping is $1.00 and baked into a large pizza dough and served with a side of marinara sauce. Very tasty and very filling!! I now live in New Hampshire and the vast majority of the pizza places I've been to over there do not add ricotta cheese to their so-called "calzones" which is a crying shame!! I placed an order on line via their website and received a confirmation order which showed that part of the order was wrong. I immediately called to remedy this and it was supposedly fixed. Someone from there called back to tell me that the driver was already on the way with the wrong item and the only way to fix it was for me to pay additional to have the correct item ordered and delivered. I stated that I should not be charged again for something that was not my mistake and he told me there was nothing that they could do about it. Not for nothing, but whatever happened to the customer being right? It's not my fault that the website has issues. This is my first time ordering and will be my last. UPDATE: I am changing my review to a positive one due to the fact that management reached out and rectified this situation in a positive manner. I had fettucini alfredo and asked for extra sauce, and actually got extra sauce! the fettucini was properly el dente, perfect. (would suggest a pinch more salt in the alfredo but that's just me) eggplant parm was amazing. i wouldve preferred more eggplant and less side pasta. but still. very good. We had such a fun time here on Saturday night. Went there with a bunch of my girlfriends (we were having a girls weekend). The wait staff couldn't have been nicer and the pizzas were just right. I went to La Bella Pizza last night to celebrate my husband's mother's birthday. While I wasn't expecting anything special based on past reviews, I was actually pleasantly surprised with both the quality and the value. Also, it was packed when I got there, (despite the relatively early hour of 5:30?!) so that seemed like a good sign. I ordered lasagna, which I think was under $15, and came with garlic bread and salad. My salad, which was fresh and tasty, arrived with (as per my request) Italian dressing that had a little body to it, a creaminess and extra tang. Not just an "out of the plastic bottle" style dressing that's mostly oil. That was a nice little surprise. The garlic bread was crispy and garlicky, just how I wanted...And there was a lot of it! I was quite pleased with my lasagna. The balance of noodles, sauce, cheese and meat was excellent, which I was relieved about, as I find this is often an issue at some modestly priced Italian spots. The sauce was a good flavor and thickness, not overly sweet or bitter, not too chunky or too thin. It was just a nicely executed lasagna with plenty of cheese and a generous amount of ground sausage mixed in. My husband got a personal pan pizza, which he also enjoyed. It was ridiculously affordable for a larger than expected size, and it also came with salad and bread, so he was quite satisfied. The waitstaff was perfectly friendly (though nothing to write home about) and the ambiance was lively, a stereotypical neo-Italian look, done up in red and white with a combination of booths and tables. I think the main takeaway from La Bella is that it's a good value for above average Italian staples. It definitely doesn't approach the quality of places like Sam's (off Delaware Ave in Albany) or the classiness of Cornell's (in Schenectady's Little Italy), but if you want a comforting Italian meal for not much money, you'd be better off here than a lot of other similarly priced eateries. I met one of my branch managers at LA Bellas for a strategy meeting. We both had salads, he had the classic cob and I had the chef salad. They came out looking amazing and were plated well as they say. Both tasted as good as they looked, or at least I know mine did. And I assume his did as well as he commented on it several times. This was my first time eating at LA Bellas. Based off my extremely positive experience I do intend to try other items on the menu in the future. The girl on the phone who took my order was helpful and friendly, she told me 45 minutes and that was accurate, we live a good 10-15 minutes away so I was skeptical on the time but sure enough the delivery boy came on time. He also was friendly and didn't mind my screaming kids or annoying dog so A+. On to the food. We got a large cheese pizza, an antipasto salad and garlic braids. The pizza was good, not the best I ever had but I'd order it again. It was a good sized pie and one large was enough for my family which is great. The garlic braids were also very good! The show stopper for me (which I wasn't expecting) was the salad! Holy crap, I wish I took a picture, it was gorgeous and delicious and I'm a person who reluctantly eats salad but I actually enjoyed it thoroughly and will definitely order it again! La Bella's is a sightly above average place to eat. The pizza is very generic and nothing special. The chicken wings are not very good, they taste really sweet almost like candy. The subs are pretty good, they are big and the rolls are crispy. The problem is, they have gotten my order wrong multiple times. The problem is all the employees are a bunch of teenagers who don't have work ethic. The popcorn chicken is probably the best thing here. It is crispy and never dry.
