Zach made a strong impression from the start--when he came out to inspect my roof and I told him of a problem area, he went up on the roof to look at it! The larger size has made a huge difference, as they're less likely to get clogged. My home is in good shape thanks to Winfield Builders!

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. It is not a simple fix but an upgrade, for free. See the attached before/after pictures and the broken plastic. Like most customers, I contacted a few contractors before selecting Winfield Builders. Their price is VERY reasonable, and the communication through Yelp was professional and transparent. It is rare to find a contractor who cares this much about the details. If you want a crew that is honest, skilled, and delivers a beautiful finish, call Zach. 1000% recommendation!

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. Highly recommended.

I reached out to Green Oak after searching on Yelp (s/o), and was extremely glad I did. Brian H. took me through the process from start to finish, including an insightful explanation of the insurance claim process. The free estimate happened within a few days and ended up being lower than the insurance-assessed quote. He recommended a roof "tune up" as part of the package without pushing or trying to upsell me for more, which i really appreciated. He also accommodated my inquiry of adding on the installation of a bathroom exhaust vent cap, which was missing when we moved in. After being extremely reasonable on pricing and lighting-fast on responses, they scheduled and completed the work the day after signing. The team was efficient and respectful, with a huge attention to detail.
