Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff and welcomed in. The entry was lovely, the whole way in and then of course, inside in the little shop as well. I waited in a little waiting area of the top of the stairs for someone to bring me down. A lovely lady who brought me down was so kind and showed me all the different areas of the spa so that I could enjoy the space in addition to my massage. Before my massage, I relaxed in the lounge with a cup of tea. That tea is amazing! I may be ordering it after I get home... after I relaxed. I was gathered by Sylvia and we on over to my massage. My massage was brilliant! I work out quite often and have a lot of tension as well as soreness in my muscles. Sylvia knew exactly what to do and found all the spots that were tight and helped work them all out. She used the exact amount of pressure that was needed, and, as deep tissue massages, go, while slightly uncomfortable at times due to soreness in the muscles, it was never truly painful. Truly exceptional! After my massage, I used the amenities to include the steam room in the hot tub as well as the shower facilities. I love that they thought of everything in the locker rooms to include hair ties and mouthwash. Those small things really do matter! After coming here for this massage, I will absolutely be back. It was truly a lovely couple hours and my muscles feel a heck of a lot better too!

She said she was new and I was surprised because she did not appear to be new. She really knew what she was doing, and when I left there, I felt that I had an excellent facial. The spa itself is beautiful, and the people were pretty nice. I would definitely return next time. I'm in the Williamsburg area.

The company needs to keep their equipment in check. Every other time I go in, which is 3xs a week, one of the treatment beds is out of order. Its extremely frustrating since we pay to be a member. This is the reason I am canceling my membership. I go to enjoy and practice selfcare, not to be stressed out about a treatment being out of order.

She let the technician know that she had sensitive skin but half way through the procedure her face started hurting. She asked if that was normal and the technician said, "yes, it will be spicy". My daughter didn't know any better but when she got home she took a picture and sent it to me. Her face was completely bloody, pretty much all over her face. It was way beyond simply red and took almost two weeks to heal. I contacted the manager who proceeded to send "cut and paste" corporate replies that didn't even fit the context of my complaints. I went to see her personally since it was obvious she wasn't going to address my concerns in an email. To make a long story short, she didn't even investigate with the technician concerning what happened and didn't plan to. She proceeded to blame my daughter for the burns and said that since it wasn't my experience she didn't want to talk to me further, so I told her to contact my daughter to further investigate. I waited a week for her to call her and she never did. I plan to send this complaint to the BBB and massage envy's corporate office, however, I'm pretty sure they will deny culpability. Bottomline, unless you want your face burned, I recommend you stay away from massage envy!
