The staff there are super rude. I was trying to use my rewards and they refused to split the purchase to use them saying "one they start a transaction they can't cancel it" which I know it a lie. They are just lazy. Then they tried to mansplain the reward system to me and treated me like I was stupid. Altogether very crass and unprofessional. read more

Made an appt, showed up early and after an hour and 15 minutes still hadn't been seen and was passed over by two other customers waiting for the same thing. I asked for a refund and the pharmacist had a bunch of attitude even tho I was just trying to leave to not get vomit everywhere as my body had maxed out it's out of bed time. I cannot understand why or how more than four people working behind a counter cannot manage to provide speedy service to MORE than four people standing in line for said counter. Are they THAT stupid? I'm a student an W&M and have gotten medication filled here numerous times and every time I do I remember why I stopped going here. I have genuinely NEVER had a pleasant experience at the pharmacy. The employees are condescending for no reason. I used to get my ADHD medication filled here (a controlled substance) and was told that I could only start getting the prescription filled EXACTLY 30 days after my previous month's was filled (which, by the way, is not the law. The law only requires 28 days I believe). I only have 30 pills so exactly 30 days later means that every month getting a refill is extremely stressful because if I do not have it that day I do not have a pill to take the next day. Additionally, the pharmacist doesn't even START filling the medication for controlled substances until around 2PM I believe which is just insane. So most of the time it was not ready until the next day, leaving me to have to go a day without my adhd medication I need in order to actually focus in college. They are just overall rude and take longer than needed. I have since switched pharmacies. read more

I would do negative stars if it let me. Prescription was supposed to be ready at 2:45. At 4, it wasn't ready. The only pharmacist on site was too busy giving Covid shots that he couldn't fill subscriptions. These were post surgery meds for pain. Not a happy camper. read more

This store has the worst customer service ever. No one is happy to be working there and their face shows it. Anytime you need help you have inconvenienced them. Don't get me started on their photo dept ..they charged me twice for same item two days apart and I am still trying to get a refund. Curbside is another joke no one is ever at the counter to pick it up, they have to call someone to come help you and then again you are an inconvenience for them to do their job. After retiring from the United States Marines and 28 years has a cop I decided to switch all my prescriptions to 1309 Richmond road Walgreens. I am now switching back to rite aid at 5:20 West broad Street in Richmond Virginia and driving 45 miles to ensure I can get my prescriptions on time as needed unlike at Walgreens. Their ability to communicate effectively with dates prescriptions will be filled is that a zero their ability to get medications that are on backorder is at zero and they don't like to convey these because they don't want to lose your money you will wait for weeks at a time for medications and still not have them. By far I'm in my sixties and this is the worst pharmacy chain that I've ever dealt with in my life. Complaints were made request to speak to supervisors were made through not only corporate but also at store level I have yet to hear from them and it's been almost 2 months about my most recent dilemma with them and I said this was the final draw rite aid it's worth the drive and they truly are honest and care about their patrons. read more

I plan to change pharmacies because of their current practice of checking in COVID vaccine patients in the same line with people dropping off/ picking up prescriptions. The procedure to check in vaccine patients can take 10-15 minutes. Seriously. I timed the couple in front of me. And they hadn't even checked in the husband yet! Even with a line forming, no one in pharmacy seemed the least bit concerned. There are 2 registers in the pharmacy and one was being used by a technician who was checking in the vaccine couple. Another technician finally showed up to the second register and I thought she would start helping customers. Well, do you remember that scene from Meet the Fockers when Ben Stiller's character is trying to catch a flight home and the airline receptionist won't help him because she's typing furiously at the screen? So I waited another 10 minutes before she looked up and announced that she could help the next person in line. Absolutely ridiculous. There should be one line for vaccines and one line for drop off/pick up. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with these lines. Seems like the pharmacy staff are apathetic and just don't give a rip about customers. We have options in Williamsburg and I plan to check them out. Peace out, Walgreens! read more

This review is for the Walgreens Pharmacy in Williamsburg VA. This is not for the store side of it...Pharmacy only. My insurance tells us that we must have our Rx filled at Walgreens if we want to receive a 90 day supply of our medication. I made the switch over to Walgreens about a year ago. I can honestly say that with almost every trip to pick up my meds, there was an issue. They didn't have it in the system, it wasn't ready, they fill only partial and tell you to come back and get the rest, however, they will have no idea what your talking about when you go back to get the rest, they filled my Synthroid twice in two weeks (how did THAT happen?), etc. So even though I got a text message telling me my medication was ready for pick up, I would get there and they had no idea why I was there. I tell them I got a message saying its ready. Nope, it's not in our system. The other night, same thing happened, but it wasn't ready. She said drive around the building again and I will get it ready. So around the building I drove...pulled back up and she said she was sorry, but they will have to order it. Tonight I went back after getting a message that they ordered it and it is ready for pickup. I got there and they had no idea why I was there. Thats it. I am all done. With all the errors they have made, it is only a matter of time till they make a very big mistake that could be even more serious or even life threatening. I do not recommend them at all, in fact, just the opposite-I urge you to take your business to another pharmacy where you will have more competent people filling your prescriptions. #walgreenspharmacysucks read more

My wife accidentally left insulin at home without enough insulin to travel, in the meantime insurance rejected the new prescription request while we are out of town because she had received refills enough supposed to last till next month While I was talking to my wife if we should pull out 300 dollars just to buy the insulin. Pharmacy staff over heard that. She volunteered to call insurance and explained the situation. Finally It got approved. If I could leave zero stars I would. The night manager Jordan couldn't be bothered with even a fake attempt to try and help me add money to my PayPal account. Instead of putting forth any effort for Customer Service she accuses me of scams and being drunk after she lied to me about what her name was whenever she said I was taking pictures of her general manager's name and phone number. The pharmacist could tell I was feeling pretty ill, so she dropped everything and filled my prescription in under ten minutes and had me on my way. That's good service imho. She didn't seem to leave anyone else waiting either. She handled the four other customers there with ease while she checked me out and gave me my meds. read more
