I just had yet another wonderful experience with the lovely staff at Williamsburg Drug Company on Jamestown Road. We always get prompt, professional, and friendly service from them, but this evening they really outdid themselves. I ran in at nearly closing time with a prescription I had just received for our elderly dog. I feared I was too late and that our old boy would have to suffer a night of pain. No, he won't, because folks interrupted their final tasks for the day to fill the prescription. I will never presume to receive that kind of service, but I am very grateful to have gotten it tonight. Our old boy is going to have a much better night than he might have, and we have Williamsburg Drug Company to thank. read more

This review is for the 1310 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg location. Have to put it here since I don't see a separate Yelp listing for this location. I went to the Jamestown Rd location on 5/19/2020. I was shocked to see no social distancing even attempted, no employees were wearing masks, and there was no barrier at the register. Terrible example that is set and a blatant disregard for public health. Won't ever be back to either location! read more

I just took my daughter to Williamsburg Drug Company to get her booster. The man who gave her her shot was unmasked. When I asked why he said he refused to participate in this "farce" and didn't believe in masks. I said I thought the CDC mandated masks in healthcare facilities. He said (while giving a vaccine mind you) that the pharmacy wasn't a healthcare facility. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted by this store's lack of regard for science and for the health and well being of their customers. I will never shop there again. Side note, another guy there that gave my other child her booster was also unmasked and gave her "the creeps". read more

Best pharmacy in the world!! And that is no exaggeration. We live here part-time and I needed an unusual prescription from California. Ken, the pharmacist, was able to secure it, and he made it so easy for me to get the refill. Even our LA doctor's office was impressed with the responsiveness. I just have one word, OUTSTANDING! This is like the old time pharmacies where people care about you. I had an issue with one prescription. Leanna went above and beyond what most people do. She solved the issue and I felt like a valued customer which is rare today. Trust me, they will take care of your needs. It remind me of a time when I was a child and went to the Rexall drug store. Being new in the area, I was DELIGHTED to stumble across Williamsburg Drug Company! What a pharmacy!!! The staff is OUTSTANDING and EXTREMELY knowledgable! I felt comfortable the moment I walked in.. all the friendly faces! Felt like I was back at home! Having questions about my current medication, one of the pharmacist spoke to me about alternative supplements and offered other options I could choose from, even took the time to answer all of my many questions. Of all the pharmacies (chain or no-chain), Williamsburg Drug Co. gets the prize. Their staff are the most polite, most sincere, and most professional people that I've gotten to know. Their pharmacist truly care about their patients (customers) and are highly knowledgeable--something you can't say about big chain pharmacies. Since day 1, the staff at Williamsburg Drug Co made me feel at home. They address me by my name and ask about my family every time I visit. I will recommend Williamsburg Drug Co to anyone who needs anything from medication to chocolate (trust me, try it). I stopped into this store since it was close to the TNCC Williamsburg Campus one day when I wanted to pick up some lotion before class. A typical sized bottle of Lubriderm was over $10, and their cheapest bottle of unscented lotion in any brand was still over $6. Absolutely outrageously priced. Went across the street to the Texico gas station and got a tube the same size for $3. Williamsburg Drug Co. is situated in a place where they can get plenty of business from Kingsmill and tourists, but it's sad that their prices are so high - I don't know how they can compete with all the chain drug stores in the area with such high prices! Needless to say, I don't plan on returning to this store. ***Edited to add: This drug store is not in Merchant's Square, as the Yelp address says, but rather on McLaws Circle. read more
