Been a customer with this cvs for a long time, and I have had some good and bad visits. My latest visit, I had a much greater need for a medication than usual. In the haste to get care I encountered multiple set backs, but the team at cvs worked with me, stayed past closing, and was able to get the medications ready. We didn't know it at the time, but this effort likely saved my family member's life. I am grateful to them and will continue to be their customer :). Thank you cvs team at merrimac trail! read more

The worst. The other day I went in there picked up vitamins walked to the pharmacy in the back no one was there was a lady standing up there the minute I walked up there she left said she'd be right back. Well that didn't happen. And then when I just say well I'll go to the front of the store. The lady was on her phone she was on her phone when I came in and she was on her phone then then she left from behind the counter and left. And this wonderful young man finally help me. I will never ever ever ever go back to that CVS as most people I know do not go there either. read more

I live within 1 mile of this CVS pharmacy on Merrimack trail. I gave up a couple of years ago. they are rude, surly and basically don't care about their customers. Very unprofessional. They open late, close early and if you need help, they honestly don't care. NOT a pharmacy caring for their people using them. I'm now going across town to get better service. My insurance makes me use CVS. Otherwise I would never go in any of their stores ever! if you have a choice, DO NOT use CVS! read more

Our regular CVS was out of insulin. This CVS Store: 2338 said my son's insulin was going to cost TWICE as much. They refused to listen when he called our CVS, who said to tell them to look at the "hard copy" they transferred. They ignored him, and just told him he would have to pay. My son then left and came out. I was waiting in the car. I said I would go and pay. Before I could enter the store MATTHEW SAUNDERS OPERATIONS MANAGER AND PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, (per his name badge), then locked the doors and called the police. He locked people out of the store, refused to let the people IN the store OUT, When asked by the police if my son did anything threatening or aggressive he said NO, then accused the police who HE called, with being "aggressive". When I went in with a police officer to get the insulin. He rang it up and I scanned my payment, and when I took down his name and said I was filing a complaint - he asked the pharmacist "DO I HAVE TO GIVE HER THIS?"(the insulin) - she said yes, and SHE completed the sale. HE WAS GOING TO WITHHOLD INSULIN BECAUSE I SAID I WAS FILING A COMPLAINT. read more

Absolutely the worst. So over this pharmacy. If I could give it a negative -10 I would. If I had time to stand out front with a warning sign to others, I would. Constantly loosing refill requests, cancellation of valid refills and takes days to process. Good thing none of my conditions aren't immediately fatal or anything.... I'd be dead. Currently been without 4 since Friday. Oh yeah, and they aren't open on the weekends... What pharmacies in Williamsburg are recommended by you? I need a new one. read more

Absolutely unacceptable. 0/5. I never leave 1 star reviews unless it's deserved. I was treated as if I was shoplifting and hassled by staff a little too often whilst I was walking around browsing. Once I was ready to check out the manager watched me from behind whilst the assistant "helped" me. I asked to exchange two items and explained I didn't have my card so I would pay the difference in cash. The entire purchase was refunded to a card I didn't have on me, and then I was asked to pay the balance in full again when I needed the items ASAP. Now let's note the fact that a refund takes 2-5 business days. What if I didn't have money but enough to exchange and pay the difference? I also don't carry much cash on me, yet I was expected to pay again? I get it guys, if I just had my card I could have avoided this, but life happens. Yet being treated as a shoplifter and not being listened to has left me very bitter. I stated several times during the transaction "I don't have any cards on me," to which the assistant kept saying "oh it's fine! You don't need one!" Well, I obviously do as I was expected to pay for the purchase instead of exchange and just pay a dollar + tax difference. I hate to write this, but the truth is I will never come back here. There are plenty of other places that will listen to me when I explain I'm paying the difference instead of the amount in full again who will gladly put the refund onto a gift card, then use the gift card for the following transaction and let me pay the difference. Such unhappy people here I've tried multiple times, thinking it was an off day for them or me. No more. The last straw was when I use the drive-through. I was most certainly inconveniencing their talk. She tossed the prescription order in the tray and never have a common sense to use a courtesy such as thank you, nor look us in the eye. I certainly hope the management reads these low reviews. And can do some customer service training for the entire staff. read more

Extremely unprofessional pharmacist. I had a 5pm appointment on 9/25/24 for a scheduled flu shot along with my wife. She got the shot but he refused me because he couldn't find my profile. I went home and got a screenshot showing reservationincluding the confirmation number. I returned at 5:15pm and provided the confirmation. He said he would give me the shot after servicing 3 more customers. An hour later, after servicing approx 4 dozen customers, nothing happened with me except asking which arm to receive a shot. Another half hour later, I finally got my shot just before closing time at 7pm. I mentioned to him that I knew he was making me wait until just before closing time and no more customers to wait on. He denied and lied about making me wait, just because he screwed up and was trying to punish me for politely bringing his screwup to his attention. No wonder the CVS Pharmacy at 700 Merrimac Trail in Williamsburg, VA is one of the most poorly run pharmacies in the CVS system. I recommend the CVS at 1600 Richmond Road as an alternative. read more

This pharmacy is a nightmare. Many of the staff are rude and unhelpful, they are slow, and they are unprofessional. I waited for an rx to be filled before work one morning, and had to listen to the staff organize their breakfast bagel order before they got to work on filling prescriptions. I was PROMISED a rx on 1/24 and when I went to get it, they had unexpectedly just closed the pharmacy bc they "couldn't get a pharmacist". I had already postponed my Xmas trip out of town to pick it up on the 24th. I had to go Xmas break without it. Now, they are refusing to fill my prescription. It's a CII rx, covered by my insurance, prescribed by a neuro... they just said no. Get it sent somewhere else. What the.....???? I never even complained to them about the Xmas fiasco, and I was LIVID!!!!! Now this? I will never go in another CVS again! read more

Like others, I had a prescription called in here, and after four times of my trying to pick it up, they finally said that I should just have it called into another pharmacy. They made some kind of mistake that messed up the prescription, and no matter what my doctor did, they were unable to work it out. The pharmacist also seemed very combative, and basically just shrugged, saying "It's 2024." What kind of an answer is that? read more

I recently visited this store while I was waiting for the bus. The staff were very friendly and greeted me when I entered the store. The items were neatly displayed and the staff were able to show me where the restroom was located. The staff member who checked me out was very nice after I let her know that I did not want to use the self serve checkout. Overall this store had excellent customer service. read more

This is the most unprofessional pharmacy I've ever experienced. I made two appointments for flu vaccine. When I showed up I was told they didn't have any. I received no notification even though they had my email and phone number. I was told I should call them. Why allow patrons to schedule a vaccine, if they aren't available??? read more

Pardon my French this fucking pharmacy can suck it. Rude people who are lazy incompetent and slowwww. They have wasted my time, too much time I will never get back. 40 min wait in drive through pharmacy just to be told to come back in 15 mins or come inside and wait. Went inside to four other people who hadn't been helped yet. Come back an hour later waited yet again another 20 mins in line to be told my script hadn't been filled to come back in 45 mins! They're the ones who called and said meds were filled. Zero stars!!! read more

The Pharmacy Tech had the worst attitude and could seriously benefit from soft skills training. Hopefully she was just having a bad day but it doesn't excuse her ability to provide basic customer service. Not sure of her name but she was working on 1/8/22 at 12:30pm and had coarse black hair. She may need additional pharmacy training as well because there was another CVS about 2 miles away that was able to assist me without any issues! read more

We are leaving this pharmacy. There are simply too many issues. I need to fill 3 scripts a month here for myself and about 7 for my father-in-law, and nearly every time is a hassle. He should be on a 90 day supply, but they've messed that up. Even after repeated requests to fix the issue, they will only give him a 30 day supply. Also, two months ago they split up his 7 scripts for no reason, making us have to go get them twice instead of once a month. My husband and I are busy enough with our jobs as it is and really don't have time for CVS to try to dictate our already cramped schedules. The final nail in the coffin came today. I am currently ill and my doctor gave me a script for antibiotics. No big deal, right? Wrong! I watched my doctor send over the script request at approximately 11:30am. I called at noon to see if it was ready. No, their "system" was down - not the first time this has happened, by the way. Was it ready by 3pm? No. 5pm? No. Not until 8pm, over EIGHT hours later was my tiny 7 day prescription ready from this pharmacy. If they were looking to lose me as a customer, then good job! read more
