It's supposed to be a crunchy tuna roll but not.
    Victor R.

Your Crunchy Tuna Roll was definitely a Crunchy Shrimp Roll. There is a significant difference between the two. I am allergic to shell fish and took a bite into it and realized it was not what it was supposed to be. This is not the first time it has happened. What's weird is that the section for sushi is so small I can't understand how such a mistake can take place multiple times. I couldn't see the Shrimp in the roll because of the crunchy toppings, see picture below. One star is to get managements attention before someone drops after eating the wrong thing. I am a little wheezy however, I think I will be ok.

Quite indicative of the area. With those traditional ways comes some of the plusses and minuses of that era. But that's the fun part imo. First off, you'd be silly to not come here as they gave us our first taste for free. When it comes to unique, this definitely takes the cake. It's hard to explain but the only way to understand the uniqueness of their spirits is to straight up go there and try them. Because they're so unique, many of the 'og' style spirits I had were so far off from the norm. But that's ok. One of them wasn't for me but that's fine. I was just appreciative of being able to try it. Overall, this place is a big win. If you're in the area and are a spirits fan, stop on by! Take a trip back in time to the colonial days and discover how modern cocktail recipes came to be. From flaming drinks to simple mojitos, each drink has a historic story of invention and who consumed them. The service is friendly and they are happy to explain everything on the menu. Their genuine passion shines through and the pours are rather generous on the flights. So drivers be aware that you won't be able to finish them! Whiskey & Rum are the primary spirits served, though there was a gin on the menu as well as a few others. The atmosphere is equally period appropriate. Will not disappoint you if this is your vibe!

My husband ordered the steak Frites, and it was good. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which is possibly the best crispy chicken sandwich I've had. The meat was extremely tender, though it seemed strange to order a crispy chicken sandwich at what seems to be a fine dining restaurant. We are coming from Dallas, so maybe this is common in Virginia. Regardless, it was yummy. We also ordered the salt cod fritters, which were very tasty and reminded me a lot of crab cakes. Due to Covid all of the staff wore masks the entire time. They also require masks when you are not sitting at your table. You are sitting behind the Williamsburg Inn, which is an historic Inn and is beautiful! Overall, the experience was wonderful. The staff was great and the ambience and view of the colonial Williamsburg Inn along with the fire pits and water fountain in the back patio area were wonderful. Originally we were seated inside a tent with clear plastic walls. We asked to be moved because the view was somewhat obstructed by the plastic, and they happily moved us. If it were cold outside, the plastic walls would be great to keep the heat in, as they had heaters throughout. But it was a beautiful 70° so we were moved outside and it was much more enjoyable. We are Happy we went. Definitely recommend for a romantic "date night".
