The store is out of town but offered a chance for harder to find bourbon that I was lucky enough to score. The business is right off the road, but believe me you can easily drive right by. It's a newer building with awesome curb appeal. The lot is small. I saw no debris in the area. I had a short wait until the doors opened and was greeted by staff. Once inside I confirmed they had a few allocated bottle which was exciting. The store was clean and organized nicely. It's a smaller floor plan. Checkout was courteous and friendly. That's what elevates the review to a 4 and is appreciated. Although the shop is out of town I would be more than happy to return if they had my product selection.

It definitely affected the money I spent here and cost a star. I had never heard of mead before and knew as soon as I saw the place this would have to be a part of my Williamsburg trip. The experience was not near as wild as that of a moonshine tasting in Gatlinburg and not quite as bougie as a wine tasting in the Napa Valley. Mead tasting sits in the neutral middle. Our taste master did a phenomenal job explaining what mead is and how it is used in winemaking and it was not only an interesting new adventure it was very educational. The place is set up three fold. One area as a store, one for tasting and another "bar area". It is decorated in all bee and honeycomb themed art and gives an artisanal vibe. We walked out with some honey but not as much as I would have liked due to the attitude of the little bully.
