    So many spices!

This is the perfect place to pick up a gift for the tea lover or griller in your life. They have almost every spice you can think of and a ton of blends to choose from. There's also a variety of teas and tea tools for you to choose from. The seasonal teas are always interesting. The walls are lined with glass containers for you to see and smell all of the options. They also have a bar where you can order a tea to be made for you. The people working the counter know their product so well that when I didn't know exactly what I wanted, they asked me a bunch of questions and landed on a strawberry fields iced tea with a light sweetener. It was delicious and matched what I was looking for at the time.

Visiting and walking around Merchants Square is a lovely way to spend the day. Popped into The Spice & Tea Exchange and found a larger selection. There are small and medium bags prepared and ready to go out you can go by weight. They also have a tea bar so I was able to get an iced tea to go. I was able to try one of the seasonal special teas " Dragon Fruit Fusion". Service was great.

Ohhh... this shop is full of possibili-teas! First of all, when you walk in, it smells fantastic! A wall of spices welcomes you and beckons you to add some spice to your life! Talk about "seasons greetings"!!! As you delve deeper into the store, another wall of teas invites you to "sniff" to your heart's content! The staff was friendly and encouraged us to open the "testing" jars and smell the various teas. What incredible blends... I'm an avid tea drinker and I found the combinations so tempting... the banana nut vanilla tea was spectacular... as well as some other autumn tea flavors that I purchased! I couldn't resist the pumpkin chai tea, so I picked out a fall sampler that I can't wait to try! I also purchased a couple tea infused candles, some cute enamel tea pins, and some honey spoons! So many cute gifts for the sinensophile or the spice lover in your life! They also have a "to go" counter so you can order a hot cuppa or a refreshing iced beverage! I know this is one tea shop that I will return to again and again whenever I visit Merchants Square in Williamsburg!

Been here while traveling to Williamsburg, and the staff here are welcoming. This is a good place to find all sorts of spices, teas, honey, and utensils, and they also serve ready-made tea from their selection, both hot and cold, so that you can taste it before actually buying the tea in bulk. Overall, the staff are very professional in terms of their tea-making, as they do temperature controls and etc. Would love to come back if I have time, as the ambiance inside is nice and cute.

It was a beautiful day to stroll Williamsburg shops. The sun was shining, temperatures were perfect , the birds were singing, and I had a drink in my hand... the mint chilla chai Nilla iced tea from the spice and tea exchange. It was just what I needed. I have been to a Spice and Tea Exchage in a different state. But, this location has some of the nicest employees. Nicole was extremely helpful. She greeted us upon entering and explained what we can do and can not do due to covid. She always had a smile on her face and a great laugh that just wanted to to go out and enjoy the rest of your day. She did wonderful at multitasking the register, greeting customers and making our teas. There are so many spices and blends to choose from here. We actually buy our spices in bulk. It is much cheaper and the quality is better depending on where you purchase them. We house them in smaller mason jars. Much easier to work with. The prices here are very reasonable and comparable to other spice stores. The bonus in this store is the tea selection. My husband and I love a good tea. I love that this location makes hot or iced tea from any of their selection. It's a great way to taste what they have and venture out to try new things. The store was very clean. It is tucks last back so it can be missed a little. We will certainly be back!

Ohhhh this store is really smells good! Different spices and different recipes! They also serve cold and hot tea! My friend and I got mango and blueberry cold tea with honey and we loved it!. In addition to that the service was good! This shop is really cool and it's a must visit!

A friend of mine mentioned a place to me that sold several types of herbs and seasonings, as well as many forms of teas. The Spice & Tea Exchange is located in Williamsburg, Virginia. While a bit of a drive from me, my Grubbing Buddy and I took the trip because we are both interested in custom herbs and spices, and she's crazy about teas. In fact, speaking of teas, while there they will make your tea hot or cold to try and carry out While the prices can be steep, the combination of flavors will tell you it's all worth it. If you're into gourmet cooking, this is a must-go-to place. Their offerings list includes Lavender Flower, Hungarian Hot Paprika, Rose Petals, and hard-to-find Arbol Chile Honey Jar. I can see myself taking the trip back to try out other varieties before the month is out!

Amazing staff!! Amazing collection of tea!! And I love that you can actually get one of them to make some tea for you while you browse.

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Williamsburg is such a cute little tea shop. There's a large array of teas to choose, from black, to oolong, to herbal. Sophie was very kind and patient. She explained the whole process and gave good input. However, I didnt personally enjoy the flavor of the iced tea that I had. Maybe I'll come back to try another flavor that might change my mind about the 3 stars. Overall it is and OK tea spot.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! I have shopped here several times and have never been disappointed in any of the products. The store has some of the best spices, teas, and honey's around! Top it off with such caring, kind, and thoughtful staff and you have a recipe for wonderful success. I could write a review for each item, but to save you time, I'll list some of my personal favorites, with pictures attached :) Honey straws- I mean, beautifully curated honey in a perfectly sized straw, what could be better? the blackberry blossom is out of this world good and perfect for a afternoon cup of tea. Himalayan Salted Honey- shew. this is a perfect addition to any cup of tea. It is an exquisite blend of salt- not too overpowering but gives just the right amount of flavor. Black Truffle Garlic- I'd bathe in anything truffle and this spice makes me want to do just that (not literally, please don't bathe in it, but you get what I'm saying) it's a perfect pair to everything I've used it on- to name a few, eggs, chicken, salmon, pork chops, you name it, I've used this spice on it. Carne Asada spice blend- Perfect for marinating skirt or flank steak (or any meat) for tacos, or whatever. I used it for tacos when I had friends over for a picnic, but you could get creative! All of my friends raved about this marinade Ginger Turmeric Tea- Yes, yes, yes. Perfect tea for me. I use turmeric for it's inflammation benefits and seriously, this tea makes my body feel so much better. Even better, all the ingredients are organic. I feel fueled by this tea. Ginseng Hippie- Let's talk brain. I feel better focused, more relaxed, but also energized. Again, all organic ingredients make me feel like I'm really treating my body right. Perfect amount of mint in the flavor, too. I'm obsessed. I've read a couple of reviews that the prices were high and I'll just say, you get what you pay for. Run, don't walk to this shop and buy one of everything. That's my recommendation.

This was nice, we tried their Brussel Sprouts. The portion was generous. Our next stop was to say hello to Chef's Kitchen and we were able to speak with Chef John Gonzales. I placed an order for twelve york river oysters, a Bloody Mary, and the fried green tomatoes. The bar was small and intimate with two televisions, both on football games, and other customers who were friendly and social. My drink arrived first, and while very flavorful, for $13, I found it to be on the small side. I've gotten a larger Bloody Mary's of equal quality at other restaurants for less money. I think you should work on either the price point or the portion size here. The oysters arrived properly iced with lemon wedges and generous portions of cocktail sauce, horseradish, and terrific garlic butter. They were perfect. Shortly after, the fried green tomatoes arrived. Such a disappointment. The presentation was excellent, the diced red tomatoes a nice color accent, but the green tomato slices were wafer thin and were overpowered by the pimento cheese, totally wrecking the flavor profile of the dish.....the portion sizes should have been reversed. They were the absolute thinnest slices of tomato I have ever encountered on a serving of F.G.T. The dollar special on the oysters is enough to get me back in, but I will reexamine my menu and drink choices on my next visit.
