I moved here to VA 10 years ago from NY. Since I've been in VA this has been the BEST place to get my nails done. I moved to Portsmouth and still traveled all the way back just to come to this place. Service is wonderful and on top of that they do an amazing job on my feet and nails. I really hate to see that this place is temporarily closed most likely due to the pandemic. This is my favorite nail salon in Virginia! I've visited so many shops and they're always lacking something. The girls here are very nice and personable. They did a fantastic job on my nails, they even gave my ingrown toe nails the attention they needed. I also got a bikini wax, which was also great. The shop was clean and I saw her disinfect my basin before filling it with water. To make my experience even better her personality is so sweet, not just with me but with other clients as well. I went here because I was looking for places to try in area since I'm from the other side of the water saw the group on and gave it a whirl. Overall very happy with the work my technician was polite and friendly and really took her time doing my mani and pedi. When you walk in the place can be a disconcerting, if you are looking for a posh nail spa....it's not what your looking for. The place is clean if a bit run down but honestly not in bad condition. I would suggest making an appointment because their only seemed to be a few techs which means walk in's may be stuck waiting. I would not pay full price here honestly but with the group on I think it's a fair deal And would come back. The only big issue w me is that they really need to invest in displaying the nail polish colors in a better way. All the gel polishes are just on a wordown display. The nail color I chose was not even similar to the color it was on my nails. My tech knew I was irked and apologized and tbh she was so nice I didn't feel like it be fair to ask her to change it. I did suggest they take the time to paint the colors on fake nails like many other salons do so they don't have that issue. I doubt they will but they should! Quick Update: 2nd appointment was a bust set up a time went in on time and they were packed. I sat and waited 15 mins and not a single employee acknowledged or greeted me. I eventually after 15 mins of waiting patiently asked if I was going to seen and was told they were behind. I could deal w them be late but the lack of common courtesy will be a pass for me. Prior to purchasing a Groupon for this salon I called to guarantee that I could get an appointment for the day and time that I needed. (I was going on vacation and had a small time frame in which to get my nails done.) I made an appointment for 5pm and arrived at promptly 5pm. When I entered the shop, there was a technician tending to a customer, she barely looked up to acknowledge me and then asked me what I needed. I told her that I had a 5 o'clock appointment and she muttered something, got up and went over to what I assume was the appointment book. She asked me my name, I told her and she told me I didn't have an appointment. Needless to say, I left, ticked off and had to go elsewhere to get my mani/pedi. This shop has piss poor management and no customer service skills whatsoever. I would never go there even if I was given a gift certificate. Thankfully, Groupon was quite accommodating with giving me a full refund. read more

First time ever coming here and I will never be going back, worst experience I've head in a long time. I would give them 0 stars if it would let me. I called a few days ahead and made an appt for 10am when they open for a mani-pedi. When I got there, there was another customer in a pedicure chair and one worker. The employee told me to pick out a color so I did and while I was doing that she made a call to what I believe was her boss in regards to another employee not showing up. This was definitely a conversation that should have been in the back not in front of customers seeing as she was complaining, and had a bad attitude. As the customer this made me really uncomfortable, like me being there was a burden/issue. Once I picked a color she started the pedicure bath and I sat down and put my feet, and I sat and waited for 30 mins. When I sat down she never said I'll be right with you when I done with other women's pedicure or that she was waiting for someone to come. By this time it was 10:40. I turned to the employee and told her I had to leave because I had a meet at 11:30 and then had to catch a flight for vacation. As this was happening another associate came in with Togo food in hand. I told her I had to leave because I had an appt at 11:30 and she said she could have my pedicure done by 11am. First off it was bad enough she didn't even know that I had an appt for a mani pedi but also that she said she could have a pedicure done in 15 mins. If you are only gonna spend 15 mins on a pedicure then you definitely aren't doing it right. I told her that I had been waiting for 40 mins and had to go. After I told her that neither she or the other associate said anything to me and she went to the back and just let me leave. No additional apology, no offer for complimentary service to compensate me for my wasted time, nothing. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I would be embarrassed to have them as associates and treating customers that way. Horrible experience and I wouldn't suggest anyone going there. read more

Purchased gel manicures off of Groupon. The staff here was very nice. However, the salon was a mess. As soon as we walked in, I was shocked. I have NEVER been to a salon that was so dirty. The pedicure chairs were ripped to shreds. Everything looked very dirty. Floors, tables, counters. Even the nail polish bottles were dirty and disorganized. I thought about leaving but decided to stay. Luckily I paid for manicures off of Groupon . If I had paid for pedicures, I would have walked out. There is no way I would use those pedicure chairs or bowls. At the end of my manicure I was told to use the lotion at the sink. I didn't even get a hand massage. Then the staff put the tools they used on me in an "envelope" with my name on it so they could use them again when I returned. That won't be happening. They really need a lesson in cleanliness and organization. It's really unfortunate. If this staff was in a cleaner and organized salon I would definitely go there again. Note- I also feel like the ad on Groupon made it seem like this was a luxurious salon by pictures that were used. You could not relax there. There were children of all ages running around interrupting my tech over and over. I love children. But a lot of people go to salons to relax and have a stress free environment. This isn't that kind of place. read more
