I waited a week before making this review:…read more The nail salon was PACKED when I arrived. I had made an appointment prior, and it seemed like whether you are a walk-in or appointment you were waiting the same time (which wasn't too long). The staff were very friendly, and at first I loved how they came out. But they didn't last very long. I got the gel manicure done with chrome. I've gotten gel for the last 5 years. The set I came in with was 6 weeks old (and NONE of it had chipped off). Within 24 hours, the thumb on my nondominated hand was already chipping off. While I was there the techs were talking about how one of them overcharged another customer. The tech put magic removal on my nails to remove the prior gel, and my nails were curling into themselves. It was a little painful. If the manicure had lasted at least two weeks, I would have been fine to come back. But since it started chipping almost immediately, it just doesn't seem worth it, in my opinion.

I came in to be greeted by many technicians, a little overwhelming, for me. but the place was super clean and lowkey. it's not noisy with chatter or equipment. I was able to get sat down right away with Nani. she was super friendly and gentle with my manicure, giving detail to grinding down my nails, application, shape and length and color preference. washing my hands before/during the session was a nice refresher and also a first(!) with cleanliness of this business. I was offered cuticle oil after which i'm grateful that got brought up. hours after, my fingers don't feel irritated from the grinding like they usually do at places that overdo it. I was super happy with my manicure. i'm a bit more on the quiet side of conversation so I hope to come back and chat with the techs about life, it was quite entertaining hearing neighboring drama with other techs and clients. :))

Sue took me in immediately. Everyone was really welcoming and greeted me when I came in. Sue and I talked the entire time because I'm not from the area. She was very professional, fast, efficient, and did an amazing job on my nails! She noticed I had cat eye already on my nails, so she asked if I wanted to do it again, and when I said no, she didn't try pushing any designs or up-charges on me. She let me pick my color and was super nice when I was a little indecisive about the first set of colors that I saw. She was quick to show me more colors. We had a great conversation, and when I'm back in the area, I'll definitely come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I THOUGHT just having acrylic applied shaped and filled would save me some time doing prep work but it ended up not saving much time as I had to redo the shaping on just about every nail. And she absolutely loved everything about this place and the massage itself...super relaxing (her words)! While I want to give them 5 stars, scheduling the appointment was a headache. I scheduled the massage way in advance, but I had to reschedule it to accommodate my mom's every changing schedule. I would like to think, if I kept the original appointment. as is, then I would have experienced no issues. Yes, issues exist from time to time, beyond ones control, but the customer service I received for weeks was super unappreciated. After the runaround and a cancellation 30 minutes before the appointment.. Yes!! I was in route to the appointment and received a call 30 minutes before (appointment scheduled weeks in advance) and the young lady advised "we will have to reschedule your massage because ______ has left for the day. I was super annoyed! But after I calmed down and rescheduled... all went well. My mom had an appointment on a Friday afternoon and my babe had an appointment on a Saturday early evening. They both gave the massage 5 stars and look forward to returning super soon. This venue is located in the heart of Phoebus, a historic area in Hampton. There are several mom and pop shops nearby. This venue is also owned by those that own Mango Mangeaux restaurant that is walking distance from the spa. They also have a boutique hotel that's now open for business. Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted. My mom was asked to fill out paperwork before services were rendered. We were offered fruit infused water. I loved the smell of the spa...smelled refreshing and was super inviting. And I love the orange color concept. I was tempted to schedule an appointment just based on the ambiance. I would highly recommend you all try this place. There is only one masseuse and she offers massages for men and women. Check Groupon you may find a discount there. They offer other spa services as well. Make sure you schedule your appointment way in advance. Weekends tend to fill up super quick. They will also call to confirm your appointment a day or two in advance. Just a note, if you run into concerns of no return calls after leaving several voicemail messages, reach out to the restaurant and ask to speak to a Manager. I resulted to that after a week of no return phone calls and I received a call within 24 hours from the spa. Free parking is available on the street. I do not believe a parking garage is nearby. But visiting the spa on a weekend and a weekday parking was not an issue. Have fun and enjoy life!
