I made an appointment for same day, super convenient by calling ahead because they gave me two time slots, assuming they were almost booked up. a lady asked for the service I want and this would be a good time to request someone you prefer, but this was my first time. she was really polite. I came in to be greeted by many technicians, a little overwhelming, for me. but the place was super clean and lowkey. it's not noisy with chatter or equipment. I was able to get sat down right away with Nani. she was super friendly and gentle with my manicure, giving detail to grinding down my nails, application, shape and length and color preference. washing my hands before/during the session was a nice refresher and also a first(!) with cleanliness of this business. I was offered cuticle oil after which i'm grateful that got brought up. hours after, my fingers don't feel irritated from the grinding like they usually do at places that overdo it. I was super happy with my manicure. i'm a bit more on the quiet side of conversation so I hope to come back and chat with the techs about life, it was quite entertaining hearing neighboring drama with other techs and clients. :)) read more

I called last minute today (6/4) because I'm on vacation and I really needed to fix my nails, but didn't have time before I left. Whoever answered the phone was very nice and helpful. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She booked an appointment for me at 2, but told me I could come earlier too if I finished doing what I needed to do. I ended up coming around 1:15. Sue took me in immediately. Everyone was really welcoming and greeted me when I came in. Sue and I talked the entire time because I'm not from the area. She was very professional, fast, efficient, and did an amazing job on my nails! She noticed I had cat eye already on my nails, so she asked if I wanted to do it again, and when I said no, she didn't try pushing any designs or up-charges on me. She let me pick my color and was super nice when I was a little indecisive about the first set of colors that I saw. She was quick to show me more colors. I went here for a gel builder manicure. Overall the atmosphere was kind of dingy. The nail techs were watching their phones or had their headphones in for the services. My tech was nice enough and didn't make me uncomfortable when I wanted to change my color. I wanted a simple rounded nail but the tech never asked me. I kept thinking we would get there and refine the shape but we never did. Instead she just cut down my pinkies (leaving them square) and painted the other nails without shaping them. I should have asked her to fix it but she didn't even ask me how I liked them and I figured I could just deal with it. To top it all off my gel builder cracked and peeled off less than a week later on two different nails on two different hands. I don't even think it was gel builder at this point because it normally stays on a while. I'll skip this place going forwards. read more

I've been coming here for over a year now. I now see Lucy and Bri for my services. Talk about pros! These women have such amazing skills that it can be difficult to get in to see them. I make my appointments two months in advance. They are so worth it! And now I've become friends with them which makes my trips to the salon even more enjoyable. Bri is absolutely unparalleled at removing ingrown toenails. She is gentle and thorough. Lucy does terrific designs on my nails. I love bright colors and always want original designs. Let me go ahead and update this review! I've come here several times since my first review and I love it here. When you check in for your appointment, you wash your hands and pick out a color. Then, you're either seated at a small couch or in the chair for your service. I've had a few ladies for my pedicure and they all provide great service and work together well! I love the conversation as well. There's always something fun to talk about! I've started requesting Angie for my pedicure because she does a great job. But honestly you can't go wrong with whoever you have. Everyone who works here dresses so cute too, it's gotta be one of the prerequisites to work there lol. New to Hampton, I've already visited a nail salon that was great but it was about 20 mins away from my house. I wanted to look for one closer and this one is 5 mins away from my house so I figured I'd go try it out. First off, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I didn't have an appointment but it was friday morning so I only waited all of five minutes to be honest. I didn't get the nail tech's name but she was great. Very patient with me. I'm very indecisive and ended up not liking the first color she put on my nails. I picked a different color and she did not make me feel as if i was annoying/inconveniencing her at all. I got my eyebrows waxed by her as well and it came out perfect. All in all, this is my new nail spot. I read that they do lash extensions as well so I plan on trying that as well. My mom and my 3 kids went to get their nails done here. All 4 of them loved their nails! While I was helping my kids pick out some colors, I did see some other clients giving me dirty looks. I travel a lot for work now, and no longer live in DC so you know I've been missing my Nail Saloon on 14th. Until now. No one has had a good, boujie/pamper me like a queen type mani pedi until I came in here yesterday! I had been missing a good cuticle trim, longer than just a 30 second foot scrub (Brooke rubbed my legs down a few times so it was super nice to finally have this!), a minty tingly foot mask and hot towel. After months of traveling literally around the world, it was so nice to get a real pedi and not the half assed ones I'd been getting. After that relaxing pedi, I got just as nice of a mani, finished off with a parafin wax dip-perfect and much needed on my normally dry but extra dry because of winter, skin. Brooke checked on me a few times throughout my treatment to make sure everything was going well and she did an awesome job on my tired hands and feet. I was so happy that I got her contact information and I will DEFINITELY be using her going forward!! My nails look absolutely stunning. She used a white chrome powder to detail my French manicure and then she embellished my nails very similar to a Pinterest picture I brought in. If she were to use a few more white pearls that would've been perfect, but the silver pearls worked and looked elegant and stunning. I got many compliments all throughout the night on my nails! When I lived in Hampton, Nail Studio was the only place I'd get my nails done. There is a reason they were able to double the size of the salon since I started going, and that reason is because they're the real deal! The atmosphere is so warm and home-y with nice music playing whenever I go in. The have a slew of regulars, so you're bound to hear talk of just everyday things versus them encouraging you to add services. I've never, ever been pressured into adding a service. Every nail tech is friendly in their own way, and I appreciate that they don't pretend to be someone they're not. You can tell everyone is genuine in their interactions. The prices are more than fair for the services you receive, and the studio is ran like a well oiled machine. Appointments are taken seriously, and they don't double book. They have a wide and I mean WIDE array from colors and powders to choose from, and last but not least, they LAST. The attached photo is from New Years Eve, and I've always been rough with my nails. I can usually expect 10 days before I need a new gel, but please look! I've lived in Boston and LA since leaving Virginia, and I haven't been able to find anywhere that comes remotely close to Nail Studio. TL,DR; Nail Studio is a gem in everything from their environment to prices, you'd be insane not to give them a chance. read more

Not my fave set, but cute. Every time I see a girls nails and they're really really nice they have said they gotten them done here so I gave it a go and idk I have mix feelings. I waited about 35ish minutes to be told to sit for taking my nails off (they were very busy, that didn't bug me) but then I waited about another 15-20 minutes for anyone to actually start taking my nails off. Once she did...she soaked my hands in acetone for 30 minutes....I'm thinking ummm I could of been doing this soaking part when I was told to sit down 15-20 minutes ago -.- am I the only one thinking this???! Anywho the lady who actually did my nails was great and nice however my two thumbs are two different shapes and my index fingers as well. I walked in today without an appointment and totally willing to wait a reasonable amount of time as I did have 2 of my children with me. I waited about 45 minutes before I was finally told to be seated at a table. I sat at the tech's table assuming she was checking out her previous client. She can to the table, looked at me said nothing and then went outside the shop. I waited for 5-10 minutes before deciding the walk out. Unfortunately I don't have the name of the tech all I know is that her desk is closest to the tv. Don't waste your time trying to spend your hard earned money at this poor excuse for a salon. I called ahead and asked if they did walk ins or if they needed an appointment. They literally told me they only do walk ins on Saturdays. So I drove 20 minutes to get to the salon and they told me when I got there that I couldn't get my nails done AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSED. Absolutely ridiculous and to top it off I got a speeding ticket on the way there. Poor customer service, rude management, just an all around hole in the wall. read more

Not going to lie - the shopping center gave me second thoughts, but inside the place is wonderful! They had a large wedding party in when I arrived, but they settled me in a pedicure chair while I waited. I only get pedicures, so I can't speak to their manicure services, but they did an AMAZING job on my pedicure. The technician didn't make a lot of small talk, she just efficiently worked.
