My grandmother went to this salon and told me how they removed the dip on her nails, I was in shock about the terrible practice. They cut her nails down and ripped the dip off of her nails. This is a terrible and painful practice for someone paying money for a service. A nail tech should sand the topcoat off of dip, soak in acetone, and sand again. I read another review with someone having acrylics that was the exact same. I would not go here, and if you do, ensure that they do it the right way. This ruins nails!!! read more

Ok . I had dipping powder in my nails. I asked if they can do. I was told sure. Where did you get these done. I got the dipping powder done in Maryland. They where awesome. I was told oh yes we can do so I decided to do the colored dipping French. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! They CANT DO IT! Made th guy take it off and do a French that was a mistake. I came in to get a soak off after having acrylics for my wedding. They were grown out and I just wanted to return to my natural nail. I came in and the place looked decent with a few other customers. The lady that greeted me had me sit down and I told her I wanted to take my fake nails off. She started clipping the tips off with a cuticle nipper and then took a plastic nail tip and started running it between my natural nail and fake nail and was prying it off, with no soaking first!! It hurt like crazy! After she did that to one nail I had to ask her to stop and say that I wanted her to soak them off with acetone. I feel like I shouldn't have had to tell her that! So she gets out the drill bit and sanded on my nails for a little while. I didn't really want to speak with her at this point but she tried to make small talk by asking my ethnicity if I was Filipino (I'm not) and if I wanted my eyebrows waxed while I'm here... um, not after all that! Then she fills a little bowl with acetone and has me put my nails in them. Ridiculous. And after she continues to use the plastic nail to continue prying but since they were a little easier to take off I just let her continue, I just wanted to get out of there. My nails looked terrible afterwards and there were still some pieces of acrylic left on them. I will NEVER be back. read more

Cleaned up and shaped my nails nicely...but the next day my polish turned this nasty mucus color. When I went back to ask about it, she told me a chose a "color changing" polish. The polish was not labeled what so ever nor did the nail tech tell me it was color changing. I was told it was supposed to look like that, no offer of a polish/color change. This was one of the best experiences for a pedicure I've ever had... and I've visited MANY salons throughout the US. What sets Royal apart is the customer service. They are so personable and truly care about you. They take their time even when it's busy. I got the Champagne pedicure- totally deluxe for $35! Paraffin wax, two massages, hot towels.. it was amazing. The salon is in a busy shopping center, small, and nothing fancy but their work to make you feel special is amazing. This is a 30 minute drive for me, one way, and I will now becoming here for all my nail care. So happy to have found a nice place. read more

Beware of what you're adding to the services. I've gone several years and been mostly satisfied with the quality of the service. This last time, I felt pressured to change the services more than once during the pedicure. I knew what I wanted and nothing more but was questioned to add a higher level treatment or add on manicure. The manicurist asked me something I didn't understand and we went a few rounds with my thinking she wanted to paint the underside of the nails which has been done before. No, she painted designs on the big toes and charged $4. I felt duped and paid for it, but will likely not go back. Went in for a much needed pedi, ended up getting the spa pedicure because their prices are just unbelievably low. Walked in and didn't have to wait long. They did an amazing job and spent about an hour on my feet. They were even mindful of a bruise on my shin and made a point not to rub on that area, very attentive. Asked for a special design I had saved a picture of on my phone, and they were able to replicate it perfectly. The whole place is absolutely spotless and they opened a sealed sterilized pack of utensils right in front of me.
