A friend recommended Lauren at The Organic Hair Company - I visited the website and really liked that they use organic products and colors and loved that it was in Virginia Beach so close to my home (less of a drive). I reached out to Lauren and we made an appointment. I then I had to reschedule for another time bc my childcare fell through, but she was very accommodating and understanding. The day came for my partial and trim and I was a bit nervous but Lauren was super friendly, on time, ready for me and ready to go! We talked the whole time and two hours went by in a flash. I love my highlights and my trim and the price was exceptionally fair. Plus, Lauren is so fun to talk to. Very cute salon. It was spotless with lots of great organic products for sale inside. Comfy chairs both for the cut and for the shampoo. Plenty of parking and easy on/off the interstate right by the Kempsville/Witchduck exits. Super happy and hope I found a new home!

I have seen this small, black owned female business on the news and made a mental note to check them out. In doing so, I saved myself a 25 minute drive to the beauty supply I had been frequenting in Chesapeake. Fully stocked and reasonable prices for the items I wanted. A military discount is available with appropriate ID. I appreciate that they actually acknowledged customers as they come in. This holds a lot of weight with me. I like that even though I'm not a professional nail tech, i still have access to professional nail products at a good price. I purchase my buffers and files from here because you can get like 4 for $1 buffers and 5 for $3 files. That's a good price!! They have a good selection of nail dips and acrylics also. With lots of colors to choose from. Sometimes they have items on clearance or sale. So be sure to check. I normally get in and out pretty quickly and there aren't to many people inside. The only change with Elite is their business hours and are closed Saturdays.
