I love Jane! She is the best! She always takes her time and tends to my needs. She always spends extra time. I feel with me because I have Feet that need attention. I went through chemotherapy for ovarian cancer, and it left my toes with neuropathy, and I feel like my feet need attention more than anything else in the aftermath of this. It seems she knows this without even asking that I need extra time. And she always gives it to me. I tip her well, because she deserves it. She deserves every bit of it, because she gives me so much of her time and her care. She doesn't know what I went through because I never said anything. She tends to me like she just knows. I had my face waxed and wow. Wax was too hot, she did big areas at once, left wax on my face, my face is so red, all my acne scars opened up from the hot wax. I would NOT recommend for waxing. He didn't do even brush strokes which made my gel polish super uneven & honestly, he barely even massaged my legs. The hot stone "massage" was literally 15 seconds not even. Their kid mani was $10 AND INCLUDED nail art. They did a really nice job. I personally think the kid pedi is overpriced by $5 but thankfully our girls didn't want one ;) Justin was amazing. Okay, I had to write an update because the last time I came here, something made me really mad and I swore if I came back then I would NOT let the lady with one eye do my nails...I know that sounds bad, but hear me out: 6 months later, I made the mistake of returning to this place on my way home for a simple, clear shellac manicure. The guy up front asks me what I wanted, I told him, then he summoned none other than the lady with one eye *crap*.... I tried to politely (and quietly) ask him if I could please have someone else do my nails and of course they both demanded to know why. I told him that the last time she did my nails they were too thick and peeled off (true story). She insisted they wouldn't peel this time and instructed me to sit at her station. I thought to myself, "I guess I will give her another shot". So, after soaking off and scraping off my old shellac, she cleans her cuticle nippers with alcohol and starts away at hacking up my fingers. I immediately withdrew my hand and gasped "Ow! ow! ow!" She looked super annoyed and sat there waiting for me to quit acting like a baby, she proceeded to do a half assed job at doing the rest of my cuticles as it occured to me that THIS is why I swore not to go back to this particular lady. That, and my shellac sucked and peeled off because it was too thick. THEN, when it came time to paint my nails, she was slathering it on super thick and super sloppy. There was NOBODY waiting and she was acting like she could not get me out of her chair fast enough while I sat there quietly like a big idiot when I should have just left at the beginning of this whole debacle. They also charged me $25 for clear shellac, when all other places charge $20 for clear, but whatever. She slapped on 3 thick, messy coats of shellac and they look just as bad as last time and will peel off as soon as my nails start to grow in the very slightest. I am so so so pissed! I had my nails done on Monday and as always, feel great after leaving with beautiful toes and fingernails. I have previously gone to other nail salons in the area while looking for one that looked right, felt right and had great customer service as well as an excellent quality of professionalism. I find Luxury Nails in Carrollton to be such a place. I usually sit at Jane's station and have enjoyed watching her at busy time's organizing customer's and staff to chairs like an efficient little general. Very impressive. Over the course of four years I have been in everyone's chair for service and find consistency without exception. Everyone is polite and helpful. To me, absence of the usual "busy chit-chat" that you find in most other salons is refreshing. The prices are right for the quality service you receive. This salon blows. They are so rude, they do not have even half of the colors they hand you the swatches for, then get mad that you have to look for another color. They get mad if you want your nails wrapped in foil instead of soaked in acetone (WAY healthier for your hands and nails to wrap). It's also very dirty. If I could zero stars I would. I'm 31 years old and have never left a bad review but this place deserves it. They yell at you. The lady didn't like that I wanted my hands wrapped instead of soaked so she took TWO whole customers for manicures while I was wrapped in the foil and yelled at me about it. I wanted to cry, I literally called my mom and I'm a grown woman! These people cut my cuticle too and it bled. I swear these people are violating so many health codes and permit codes. The pedicures are good but nothing spectacular. For the price the foot massage could and should be so much better. PLEASE READ ! I have never been treated with such disrespect! I went to get a nail fix and fill in today. This is my 3rd time at this shop. This time the older nail lady serviced me (there are 3 nail techs one middle age lady and older gentleman) she placed the nail on my finger very crooked . She stated no "that's my finger" I thought maybe it'll be okay once she shape it. She did not clean up the old nail to get rid of the nail pieces that were lifting, she proceeded to put more acrylic on top! That's a no no and unhealthy for your actually nail. I asked if she could clean the nail up before she placed the new acrylic on she did one nail and stated the others did not need any clean up. I took a look and tried to show her along with how crooked my nail was and compared it to my other hand and she got upset and ASKED FOR ME to LEAVE! I said is there just someone else that can help fix the nail and she stated no and for me to leave ! When I say I was beyond hurt and in shock because I've never been treated that way! I only come here for a pedicure. I am black and I have never witnessed any discrimination. Everyone is polite but the boy at the counter doesn't have any manners, but he is a young teenager, so I don't expect much out of him. What teenager wants to work all day. Anyway, I have been here a couple of times and it has not been consistent at all. Well my visit today was horrible. I sat in the chair and the lady tells me to pick my color, in a very rough voice. I had already picked my color, then she goes in the back to eat. I understand that weekends may be hard for you to get a lunch but don't have me waiting so you can eat. Just tell me to have a seat. Then I get a euro spa pedicure which should have taken about 30-35 minutes. This chick finished my feet in 10-15 mind. I said you finished as she began to polish my feet and she responds with yes, I've been doing this for 25 years, everyday the same thing. I just said ok and let her polish. Nails dry I look down and my feet look horrible. Like All they did was polish them. Please don't waste your time or money here. Beyond terrible! I have been getting my brows waxed for years.... I mean years. I'm not a professional myself my no means, but I know what a good wax job is and what a not so great one is. Today I went into Luxury Nails in Carrollton to get waxed. BIG MISTAKE. My brows look terrible and I had to pay for them to look this way! On top of if, the owner/manager embarrassed me so bad. She claims it was my brows, not her sloppy terrible wax job that left me looking zig zag and like my brows still need to be waxed. I demanded my money back and she yelled at me in front of her entire store that I just wanted something for free, it was horrible horrible horrible. When I asked to see their cosmetology license, she threatens to call the police. I've never in my life. I'll chalk this up as a lesson learned.... But I highly caution going there. Quite possibly the worst French acrylic manicure I've ever gotten. Even when she was working I knew it was bad... A couple nails were chipped on the sides, uneven/crooked at the top, too wide for my nail, and the white acrylic was visibly smeared into the pink. My manicure is two days old now and looks awful. Overcharged at the price of $45 for a $25 job; be sure to ask the price beforehand, or they intentionally try to rip you off by deciding to do other services without mentioning the up-charges. read more

I went to this salon recently for a manicure and pedicure and I regret I did not read other reviews before I went. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. I was kept soaking my feet for an entire HOUR before one nail technician started working on my feet. After she started, another person that I believe to be the owner based on other reviews, came over and started working on my hands while the first technician was working on my feet. I told her I just wanted clear polish and she was pushy to upsell me on getting gel polish and a french manicure on my nails. I finally agreed and she started working on my hands. They then had me move to a table and both continued working. The nail technician/owner did the worst french polish I have ever seen. My 5 year old granddaughter could have done a better job. All total I was in the salon for over 2 hours. My feet looked ok for being 5 feet away from my face, but my nails were so bad that I went to another salon after leaving and had them remove the atrocious manicure and apply what I originally had wanted- a simple manicure with clear polish. I took my two girls here to get their mani and pedi princess spa day which was $25.00 for each. My daughters are 10 and 3. I asked to add gel to my 3 year old nails and toes and gel to my 10 year old nails only. When I go to pay, the lady said that its $100.00 for these two kids. I told her I asked for the princess spa day which was 25.00 and I of course expected to pay a little more for gel for there nails which would have been fine. The lady said that she charged me 50.00 for gel for my 3 yr old and 50.00 for my 10 year old because they gave her a regular pedicure and added the 25.00 for the gel on her nails. When I asked for the gel nobody mentioned that it would be 50.00 for little girls pedi and mani. I fell like I got ripped off because that is way to expensive for little girls to be charged the same price as an adult. The prices are not on the price sheet with the additional charge of the gel. They did a rush job and did not do quality work because they were rushing to wait on other customers. I will never go back to this place again. The other places I usually go to only charges $20.00 for gel for a mani and pedi for kids. They are way over price for the quality of work that they do and kids should never be charged that much for some gel polish!!! The gel is already coming off 2 days later.... read more

Poor customer service and practices. During the luxury $45 pedicure, the nail technician cut my heel and did not acknowledge the injury UNTIL I saw the blood. She then hastily applied some blue/green "anti bacterial' product and attempted to continue the pedicure UNTIL I began to examine my own heel and requested alcohol, a cotton ball, and a bandaid. The alcohol was in a old hairspray bottle - unacceptable and misleading. At no point did the owner or any of the other employees inquire if I was okay. As the pedicure continued on my other foot I continued bleeding, with no acknowledgment from the technician. Once the pedicure was complete and the polish no where near drying I politely requested to speak with the owner, intent on sharing my concerns about the lack of accountability for the injury. TWO technicians later and after the technician in glasses snickered and jeered, I was advised that an owner was not available and the injury was my own fault because of a callous. Completely unacceptable that NO accountability was taken, no proper medical care was offered, and there was not an apology. Since leaving the salon I have used 4 bandaids on my heel. Please consider this before you patronize this business. read more
