Went in to just get a full set. No gel, no polish as I typically do my own nails and have tools at home. I THOUGHT just having acrylic applied shaped and filled would save me some time doing prep work but it ended up not saving much time as I had to redo the shaping on just about every nail. None of them were the same length, some are crooked, some are just ski slopes on my fingers. Additionally, I feel like the acrylic laid is a bit thick for how short I requested my nails to be. After all this, the total was $40 for just acrylic. Again, no polish, no gel, nothing but regular top coat. It would have been fine if that was the posted price but the posted price for a full set was 29.99. read more

0/10 experience. Unfortunately I can't do 0 stars. Nancy gaslit me the whole time I was telling her I didn't like the nails so I tried to trust the process. At the end I told her I still didn't like them and she started yelling at me, cut off the nails and literally pushed my chair cause she wanted me to leave her table. She also refused to soak off the nails and said everyone was busy to do it, even tho, I could see workers sitting around. Literally had time to type this whole review while I waited. I ended up leaving read more

The head lady (I think her name is Nancy) is very rude and nasty.i called beforehand to get a total because i was told they don't accept card payments. Only cash app. RED FLAG!! This was my first time there and let me just say, it's my last! It's unsanitary and they over charged me for an overlay fill in. I was today 40 but after the service they asked for 60! The customer service was veryyy poor and the guy that was doing my nails was eating hand sanitizer. Why are they still in business? read more

Hampton location is TERRIBLE! Owner Nancy is a poor manager and hires poorly trained and Asian nail techs. All are rude and talk nasty in their language right in front of Black customers that have no clue. I wear language translation earbuds! The older Asian male tech was awful and purposely glued up my hands. I told him that I understood what they were saying! This location is not good and treated me poorly. read more

The nail technician named Daisy did a great job on me, she is the number one technician in the shop.

I normally go to Anthony Vince in Greenbrier to have my nail services done, and they were too busy last night! So I popped into Lee's Nails after work and gym on the Peninsula today and got right in! Lee did my nails and in conversation Lisa who did my nails last time at Anthony's is her sister! It's a Small after all! Lee's was clean, beautiful, and everyone there was very friendly! The prices were comparable to other nail shops. I left with beautiful hands and feet, and very relaxed! I would definitely return read more

If I could give zero I would. Worst nail salon experience of my life. First they lie over and over by telling you it'll only be 5-10 more minutes when it really was an hour. The woman who did my nails left halfway through to take an eyebrow wax customer So after waiting an hour to get a chair I had to wait on other customers while I was in the middle of my own service. Which as rude, curt and downright confrontational I spent 2.5 hours there and walked out with that looks like Pink chiclets glued to my fingertips. I'm on my way to another salon to fix this because I look like a toddler played beauty parlor with me and won. d they'll dent this review. That's what they do. Trust us all. Go elsewhere. read more

If I could give zero stars.... I definitely would. Thuy attempted to provide me with a fill-in service today but I had to stop him due to his lack of skill. His drill was on 1,000 when he was removing my gel polish which resulted in him nipping my cuticles. The first time he did it I made him aware of it but that didn't stop him from nipping me. He seemed to be rushing but NO ONE was waiting so it was just his lack of skill or compassion. I notice how these shops cater to "fair complexion" customers and treat people of color like crap! I did not allow him to complete my service and paid him $5 for the polish removal via cash app titled "gift" like what is that about? Needless to say I took my business elsewhere where I felt like a valued customer. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TREAT YOU LIKE THIS! Take your money and nail beds somewhere else where you'll get the service and experience you pay for. S&J nails....here i come. And yes.... I posted this review on other sites too. read more

One is too generous of a rating! These people are so rude to their customers. I watched a nail tech berate a mother of three young girls when she asked if they could touch up a smudged nail. The woman had all her girls nails done and must have spent a small fortune. When they left, all of the employees proceeded to berate the woman and her very well-mannered kids. After this, another woman came in because a week ago, she had her nails done and two had turned black and were infected. The way they treated this lady was beyond rude, despite her cordial attitude under the circumstances. I've also had slow service here, but thought they did a fairly good job. This will be my last visit to Lee Nails, and I hope others no longer stand for their antics, and take their hard-earned money elsewhere. read more

I used to love this place when Sarah was the brow tech, but the service here and quality has drastically changed. I have come here a few times since I've moved back to Hampton and each time, my nails have looked worse and have been done very badly. One time, the tech left a bunch of purple polish from my previous set on my nails. The next set I was getting was a French manicure and the old polish was still beneath my nails. Not even a week after I got my nails done here, the polish began to lift and chip, and by the time my weekend trip was over, almost all of the polish was gone. Some of the techs are friendly but they are not well-trained. read more

Went to Lee Nails in Riverdale Shopping Center in Hampton for a pedicure. This was not my first visit. Service was horrible the girl that came do my pedicure was holding her stomach so I asked the other lady if she was sick? She stated no she was fine. This girl did an absolutely poor job for a spa pedicure. She left residue on my feet and legs and said that was normal cause my skin was dry. If I could give them a - 1000 I would. Myself & my daughter decided to give them a try. I needed a fill & my daughter a full set. I should have went with my gut when we walked in and the owner was arguing with a customer. The customer was upset & asking why they were charging her $109.00 for a basic mani & pedi ??????? ..Something told me to walk out but I didn't. In the process of getting my fill, I notice the young lady is barely using any acrylic, but filing the nail down so thin. When I tell you she's barely putting the brush in the powered & the little dot that she did, now your trying to spread on the nail to fill it in. So in my head I NO I'm never coming back here, & NOW ITS TIME TO PAY AND SHE SAY'S $110.00 for a basic fill & Full set for my daughter. WE GOT NO DESIGNS, NOT ART WORK, NO RHINESTONES, NO GEL, NO NOTHING. We both got red polish. So now here I'm sounding like the customer that was upset when I walked in!! Then here comes the RUDE , RUDE , RUDE OWNER TRYING TO EXPLAIN THERE PRICES. SO I START LOOKING AROUND & NO PRICES LISTED INSIDE THE SALON. WHEN I TELL YOU MY BLOOD PREASURE WAS AT 1000000000. I give her a peace of my mind of how they are ripping people off with there prices & the amount of product they us. She walks off and starts speaking in her language to the other workers. I'm soooo pissed , so I pay & we leave. Not even 24 hours later 2 nails on my right hand break off & the day after that 1 on my left hand breaks off!!!!! let me just start by saying that this review has nothing to do with the Nail Tech herself. She was lovely, but the management in that place is ridiculous! They are rude condescending, and price Gougers. I will never set foot in that place again, and the only reason that I agreed to pay the price that I did was that I felt like she was going to take it out on the nail technician after I left if I did not. Otherwise I would've refused people can do what they want but I wouldn't take my dog here to have his nails trimmed. read more

Went in yesterday to get my eyebrows done by Nancy every 2-3 months or so due to my availability. Walked in told her I wanted to get them done by her. She mumbled something in here language and walked to the back and Never to return. Some older lady sitting in the front asked me if I wanted someone else. I said no I wanted her to do them. I asked her to get Nancy because I didn't want to overreact if she was coming back out to serve me... the older lady ignored me and didn't budge. Im in dis belief like wat da f. Really? Spa chairs awesome, stools employee used ALL needed replaced due to sitely breakdown of seating. Regular pedi went well a little rushed. read more

Came in for a simple gel color change on my toes at about 12. With work at 1 I came in asking how long it'd be to try gauge my time. I've never known a color change to take am hour. I went here because my coworkers nails always look good and my place was closed. I needed a pedicure and the girl who did it was nice and did a good job. Now my nails had to be done. I use dip polish and I should have taken it as a sign when four different people looked at my nails confused. I had broken a nail and it was short so I already knew that would be an issue. The man who did them was rude to start with when I picked my color. Then had an attitude when I asked to have them cut down. Then he knocked over the dip powder so I had that all over my hands and him. My nails looked okay in the salon. When he was finished. I get outside and it looks horrible. Polish all over my skin around my nails and under them, and the color is bumpy. Shape is horrible. I go back to complain and ask for them to be fixed as my friend told me to ask for Nancy since she is the manager and she had a whole attitude. Then the man who did my nails comes up and asks what's wrong I tell him and he says he can file it. I ask him if he can just take it off and he tells me no and it would take too long. So I asked for my money back. And he catches a worse attitude and tells me no. I had to walk out before I made a scene. Now I wasted 40 dollars on nails that look like a damn toddler did them. I have never left a salon with my nails looking this bad. If they don't know how to do what I asked for why even try? Then catch a whole attitude when I ask for them to be fixed? This salon has no customer service skills. I really want my money back. read more

I went in for a full set with gel. My nails look horrible! After she messed up 4 nails, I told her (because she pretended she couldn't see how the gel was ruined) and she didn't want to fix them at first. My third time coming here and again I am impressed. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because there customer service sucks. On my second visit (day before Easter), Angie (I believe; first chair second row, right side) rushed on my nails. Crooked, and didn't file them on the underside of my nails so I did them myself when I got home (I have a 6 month old that I handle and would've scratched her). Lisa (first visit) & Anthony (today's visit) were amazing and will be my go-To's. They do a great job on my eyebrows as well. Ann, I believe her name did my pedicure the last time I visited. I only got a basic pedi but she worked wonders! Out of all of my pedicures, this was the first time I appreciated the massage portion of the experience. Her hands are wonderful (laughs). ZERO STARS. The person I went to had a serious mental issue and scared me at first .. I thought something was wrong like him having a heart attack or stroke but he was fine. Then instead of saying he couldn't do a design he did a design with a crappy artistic job, still made me pay $45 even though the full set sign is $25 so his design was worth $20 but, in actuality was worth two pennies. On 9/2/23 I went to Lee Nails to get a fill and pedicure by my favorite nail tech Mila who by the way is awesome. As I was sitting in the pedicure chair with my feet soaking Nancy walked in saw me pulled her phone out and then asked me if I had done a Yelp review for the debacle on 8/16/23 which I replied yes. She then proceeded to tell me to take my post down because it made the business look bad. She then stated that I had a $15.00 balance from my visit on 8/16/23. I was unaware of the additional $15.00 because the young lady who rang me up advised me that my total was $70.00 which I paid along with tipping the young lady. I have been going to Lee Nails for quite some time so I trust that the total given to me at the register is the correct amount however in this case Nancy stated otherwise. Not being charged the correct price is not my fault however, I told Nancy that I was unaware and had no problem paying the $15.00. I attempted to give Nancy my bank card twice in which she stated that Mila would take the $15.00 once my services were complete. After getting my pedicure I realized that I had $20.00 in my wallet so I asked Mila to give the money to Nancy which she did. As I was getting my fill I heard Nancy say aloud that she wasn't going to accept my money and that I was not welcome in the shop. The bottom line is that I was treated unfairly on 8/16/23 and I did a Yelp review which made Nancy mad so she was belligerent and constantly yelled "I'm the manager" and began to harass me on my visit on 9/2/23. Mila apologized numerous times for the way that Nancy was acting along with telling me that I was welcome to come back to get services with her. The intent of this review is not to make the business look bad however, people need to know how rude and unprofessional Nancy is. Honestly, I would not allow a person like Nancy to run my business because clearly she is the problem if there is a high turnaround with employees and is causing customers to not return or type bad reviews. read more

Worse nail job I've ever had!! Couldn't get the gel manicure I wanted because I had to soak off the acrylic nails. Which made no sense because I could have soaked them off while I was there. The only person still holding the shop together is Nancy. Everyone else is complete garbage. I walked in and requested to a full set. This would mean removing the old nails and giving me a FULL SET. I guess they didn't want to do it and he told me they were going to give me a fill-in instead. I knew this wouldn't look right with white powder. When he gets done you can clearly see where the "fill-in" begins. I told him and he had nothing to say but "sorry..next time" and offered a discount.
