The store is well stocked, clean and the people that work there are friendly and helpful. We go there every time we visit Williamsburg and always find something we can't live without! A tip: if you see something you really want, buy it then as things sell out quickly. Several times I made the mistake of not buying an item at the time I saw it and came back the next day and it was gone.

My sister has scored several niece paintings and decor accessories here over the years, and I was close to purchasing a beautiful dining room set a few years ago that was offered at an incredible price. But for the shipping issues, it would be in my Bucks County home today. We were free to wander around the crammed warehouse-like space without disturbance from staff. I found several Asian pieces (wood carved, metal cast, crystal and pastel ceramic) that were tempting and priced to sell. Didn't pull the trigger because I needed more time to consider which would be best at home. But, still had a good time searching, and may give them a call about safe packaging for the two I am most attracted by. No doubt, we will be visiting again this year (2024), and will stop in again, so even if those things are gone, there will be new and perhaps even better ones to capture my imagination.

You can't miss the humongous yellow chair and the quirky metal rooster on the front lawn! There are at least 4 buildings: the main building, the "she shed", another small building, and the big barn down the trail! The barn is full of bigger furniture and architectural items as well as traffic lights and metal sculptures and salvage stuff & fixtures. The smaller buildings have garden items (I found a big terra cotta planter that I purchased) and statues. One outbuilding housed some lovely art deco pieces, vintage hats and purses, wing chairs, perfume bottles, and even an antique typewriter. The cute little she shed had kitchenware, vintage aprons, old utensils, some wooden chairs, a tiny table and a few other cool pieces (I bought a cute white deco bookcase from this area). The main building is full of antique furniture, dining sets, china and crystal, tea things, pictures, lamps, mirrors, rugs, jewelry, and even some homemade crafts. I was in "junking" heaven. The owner was super nice and gave me a deal on my finds. With Yelp I also got 10% off my purchase. Even the pristine restroom was decorated with things for sale, linens, signage, washboards, etc! If you're feeling lucky, don't pass up this awesome shopper's paradise!

HomeGoods - More items not on sale the morning after Christmas - according to management a customer must have put up Sales Sign!!!

We picked 2 items and went to register - by the way there was no line as the store was empty. Cashier looks at the gift box of chocolate and other Christmas item, and states she needs the manager to approve. Manager then comes over to yell at us about customer reclamation project where he accuses every customer of moving merchandise to sales table. I'm sure everyone woke up the morning after Christmas to rush to Homegoods to move merchandise. We asked for them to call District Manager, at which point he again lectures us, but refuses to walk 25 feet to look at the sales table. In my opinion, the way he treated us is because of our race. Maybe it would be in the customers best interest to actually put clearance stickers on the clearance merchandise instead of blaming customers for them not doing their job. Incidentally, don't fall for their credit card - 34.99% interest rate is highway robbery, plus they offer no promotional financing for large purchases.

I was in town on an early Friday night, and the store was EMPTY. Friday late afternoon and early evening in my store is swamped because people want to see what's new. By the end of the day Saturday, whatever you wanted Friday and didn't get is gone! I saw a cabinet on Friday that I made myself a deal with -- if I came back after work Saturday afternoon and it was still there, I'd get it. Well, it was. So I did. Yay! There was second piece that I was eyeballing... it was waiting for a customer to pick up when I got back Saturday!

I would say it's for more older adults wanting a very quiet lunch. Great place to have tea and a dessert. Selection of food...well..lunch menu is small. Not much to choose from so I would say it's really just fair. I was disappointed in the quiche and you don't get any choices. There's so many quiches to make these days. We only had one choice that was a big disappointment and it tasted just OK if it had a better menu or a little bit bigger menu that expanded to have some real choices we might be back but I don't think so that's why the three stars is for the fact that it's a lovely place to have a very nice cup of tea....

Today's review really is about The Gathering Place cafe, which is why we went to The Mole Hole. It's absolutely lovely. They have about 4 to 5 tables that could accommodate 4 people. Plus they had a cute table for two. The tables are elegantly decorated with linen floral napkins on pretty placemats. See photos. The food is light fare, but with ample portions. We started with iced teas (they also offer beers, wine, and champagne). For entrees, we ordered the spinach salad with salmon and pecans as well as the ham and spinach quiche with the southern pea salad. The pea salad contained peas, corn, pimento, and shredded cheddar cheese -- quite unique and very good. My husband can't stop raving about it. We really enjoyed our meals. All food is made in house. See photos. Service is prompt and friendly. You pay at the final checkout up front so you can pay for food and any shop purchases together. Bring cash for your tip, as their receipts don't include a line for a gratuity since they are primarily a shop. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday for lunch until 3 p.m.

I just wish that the folks working were more efficient and friendlier. I don't love that they take the tags off when you buy things. I know that's their process and it's all final sale anyway, but it'd be ideal to have an itemized breakdown. I thought the sweatshirt I was buying was $26 because it was situated in the same display as other sweatshirts that were $26 (display pictured). My fault for not taking note of the specific one I picked up, which was $38. The price difference felt a bit outrageous for the same brand of shirt and I had to email them to confirm the price. The line to check out took about 25 minutes. I am in my 30s, but I do have a bad back, so standing in place hurts. I listened as they gracefully apologized to all the older folks ahead of me, but they barely said a word to me when it was finally my turn, much less an apology for the excessive wait. I just wish that, being that it's nearly 2025, they'd consider a more efficient check-out system. I included that feedback in my email to them, though they didn't acknowledge it sadly. That would've been a great time to apologize and confirm that they will do a better job of treating guests equally regardless of appearance in the future. Five stars for the quality goods; one star for the service, but I'm rounding my review up to be kind.
