Some themed trees, but looking for something unusual like dinosaur ornaments, football themed ornaments, religious ornaments, vintage cars or truck ornament? Look elsewhere. Maybe Hobby Lobby. If you want the usual ornaments found anywhere from the Dollar Tree and to tourist trap shops, all made in China and way over priced, this is the place for you. Four of us spend over an hour looking for ornaments to give to children, friends and grandchildren, but none us us found anything. So disappointing. read more

The prices are fair enough. And the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Just word of warning: if you are handicapped, bring a non-handicap friend. It's 2 stories and no elevator. I would be lying if I said I wasn't overwhelmed trying to select the right ornament, but this is the Taj Mahal of ornament stores. They have anything you could imagine in ornament form from foods, animals, cartoon characters, flowers, liquors, sports, educational, and dance. The ornaments are reasonably and come in many forms such as glass, plastic, and metal. They range from $8-$20. The service was impeccable. People weren't hovering over you, so you can peruse in peace. Plan to spend an hour because it's so much to see in this two-level store. read more

So glad we stopped at Christmas Mouse in Williamsburg! There were ornaments for everyone! I especially liked the pet ones and the baked good/pastry ornaments. They were so fun ! I saw a perfect ornament for my cat loving friend. Prices are not bad. Staff were extremely friendly! I loved the themed trees. There was a peacock tree, a butterfly tree, and more! If you love Christmas decor remember to stop here, they have everything. Parking was busy, but doable. We found a spot. This was another Mom connected visit for me. Mom loved Christmas and everything about it. One of her favorite things to do was to decorate the Christmas tree. What better place to visit and spend some money than a place that is noted for having ornaments. I have been to one of these while on vacation in the Outer Banks, so this was not a mystery for me. I still do not understand how someone can work in here year round and still remain sane. It just baffles me that you don't go crazy listening to and dealing with Christmas year round. You are a strong person to be able to work in here. I browsed while I was in here before decided on what to get. I have to say that it will take you forever to go through here. There is an upstairs that overlooks the downstairs which is equally filled with ornaments. As a side note, they do carry a small amount of items that deal with other holidays/seasons but it is obviously overshadowed by Christmas here. Once you do make a selection make your way down to the register area and be helped by the wonderful staff here. The lady that helped me here was amazingly kind. She took time to chat with me and wrap every ornament I both separately, as if I was to hand out small gifts to the people I had bought them for. Such a nice experience. read more

The staff are very nice and jolly, they have a great selection (even a big Disney collection) and trees galore. I have been in other Christmas Mouse stores but this one is Huge! There are 2 floors of Christmas items. On the second floor there were a few other seasonal items like Halloween. There seemed to be only one person working. We were here in April so probably not a busy time for them. But the store seems a little busy for the time. The woman working was very nice. read more

My mom bought me a souvenir sweatshirt from the Christmas Mouse when I was like nine or 10 years old. Somehow, the darn thing still fits. I must've been swimming in it back then, but it was one of my prized clothing possessions (as evidenced by the fact that I still have it). Point being: This place holds a special place in my childhood memories. I'd visit Williamsburg on family vacas growing up, and CM was always a must-visit shop. When I texted my mom the other day to tell her I had passed by it on my way to the local outlets, she was deeply appalled that I didn't stop in. I believe some caps lock and exclamation points were involved in her text back to me. So, of course, I remedied the situation by looping back and spending an hour in there. CM is a rather large Christmas shop. It has two full floors, and it's packed with all sorts of decor, but mostly ornaments. They have a HUGE gingerbread section, as well as a ton of nutcrackers, sports themed items, little food and drink ornaments (love 'em), and plenty more. Heck, they even have a Coca Cola tree! The folks who work here are so friendly and kind. As I was checking out, the lady noted a small paint chip on one of the bird ornaments that I didn't see, so she suggested I swap it out. Plus I asked if I could take photos of some items to send to my mom, and they were totally okay with it. It's important to note that items are extremely affordable. It's the perfect place to visit for Christmas goods, even in July. Especially in July. read more

What a nice large store. We even had a coupon for a dollar mug. We got some amazing pieces for our tree and home.

We heard about this shop from where we live in Midlothian. My wife loves Chistmas, and I must admit the selection was pretty good; The prices were maybe inflated a tad, but we bought two ornaments anyway. The reason this is a 3 would be from the person working there. I have a kidney issue and needed to use the restroom; all she would say was "Sorry- no public restrooms..." I explained my issue, and we had already paid. She would not relent. One would think that a huge store like this, and in the off season would let you use the restroom! Heck, I would have cleaned it for her! Luckily, I made it to a place to go. I hate to say it, but we won't be back. read more

Love this store- I collect S'more ornaments and gift them to all of our grandchildren every year for Christmas. They had a fantastic selection and even had some I've never seen before. I visited Christmas Mouse on Richmond Road earlier this week 9/13, to purchase items for my grandchildren, unfortunately that did not happen. When I entered the store, two employees were talking to each other, they didn't acknowledge me at all. As I walked through the store looking at several pieces I was going to purchase; still no acknowledgement at all. No offer to assist me with finding what I needed or offer to let them know when I may need some assistance. I did see other people, a group of white patrons who entered the store after me, who were greeted with loud hellos, and how are you doing, laughter and cheery chatter. Can we say racist with a capital R. I heard Williamsburg was a racist town, but had never experienced it until that day, in that place. I immediately left the store and as I passed the two employees, they still said nothing, just watched as I left the store. Needless to say I will never enter the store again. I went to the Williamsburg General Store across the street where I was greeted instantly with a hearty hello and how are you today. I was assisted in getting what I needed that day. Shame on the employees who worked at Christmas Mouse! I visit Williamsburg frequently and spend lots of money on goods. Christmas Mouse will never be on my list of places to shop again. Even if Christmas is far away and you don't want to start thing about it cause it's warm out this place will make you wish for Christmas to come early. They have everything that you can think of for decoration. The displays are amazing and there are ornaments for every one that is into anything. They stay open late which is amazing so you can check them out at night. Bring the family down and be amazed by all the lights and displays inside. read more

I'm certain that if there's a Christmas ornament that you can't find in this store, that it probably doesn't exist. Thousands....upon thousands. You have nautical, sports teams, woodland, camping, local, bronze/gold/silver themed, Disney characters, and the list goes on! They carry nutcrackers, Elf on the Shelf, tree skirts, Christmas lights, table decor, etc. I felt as though I was walking through Santa's workshop...in April. Stopped in to look for a Christmas ornament themed Williamsburg and they didn't disappoint. Top notch ornament selection, even more reasonable prices! This company has a cruel and inhumane corporate policy prohibiting customers from using their restrooms. My family was shopping here tonight and one of them experienced a sudden medical emergency that necessitated their immediately using the restroom. Their staff denied it despite being explained that this was a medical emergency. It was the cruelest thing I have witnessed in a very long time, which is especially noteworthy for a corporation that brands itself on the Christmas spirit. read more

NEVER AGAIN #ChristmasMouseWilliamsburg #ChristmasMouse !!! PAULETTTE caused you to loose a sale!!! Store had nice things & I had items to purchase but requested a refund due to this experience...I'm a very observant person so while checking out I'm talking to the cashier friendly/respectfully & she keeps looking in the direction of my kids who are off to the side. Every time the oldest gets closer to an item to look at it her eyes keep darting in that direction. Apparently, because of his height she assumed he was an adult. I thought I was seeing things so I waited until I saw her look 3 times before I said "He's just a child whose tall & he won't take any thing he knows better. Next thing this lady responds w/ "Huh, what do you mean I wasn't looking at him" & I told her I waited 3 times when I was sure you were doing that before I addressed it & her next response was "I'm offended that you would think that. I have a lot of black friends. I was just nervo"....& then she caught herself w/ what she was about to say & changed her words. Are you serious!!! Classic response!!! So I asked "Nervous, why would you be nervous? You have nothing to be nervous about because I'm standing here talking to you calmly". Next thing she gets all agitated & asks the other cashier to finish the refund because she's upset & calls her manager on the phone. I asked why do you need to call a manager & she says "So I'm covered" & then I asked "Covered for what? No one is doing anything to you". When the phone rings & its the manager she runs to take it in the office & I say "Yes, I'm sure she's taking the call in the office to lie about what really happened". Keep in mind the whole time I'm calm, smiling & laughing about the situation while speaking to her. The crazy thing is I never brought up race & then once she became upset & tried to get the other cashier to agree with/bail her out...which she didn't...she tried to say that I mentioned it first ‍ Never spending or attempting to spend my $ there ever again!!! read more

I first visited in the early 90's and it was there then. it amazes me how a store that sells nothing but Christmas related items could possibly "make it", but it's still there and there's always people shopping. they have jut about any Christmas related thing you could want. This is a nice Christmas store with many ornaments, trees, and tchotchokes to decorate for the holidays. Was disappointed that there were no Dept 56 villages (unless I missed them?), but there were many other items. The prices seemed to be a little less than the Christmas shop down the road. Great store for Christmas goodies! I've been to the Christmas Mouse on the Outer Banks and wanted to stop in here to see how it compared. Oh, it compares! They have a huge range of ornaments in a wide price range. The ornaments are arranged by genre which is really fun and there are at least a dozen (more, I'm sure) fully decorated Christmas trees, some of which rotate!
