If you want to make sure you get helped right away, DO make an appointment. They do have a sign of "walk-ins welcome", but it can get really busy there. Sometimes, not all the time. The staff are normally friendly and offer water or drink and chit chat with you. You are offer a "persona" set of tools, after several visits. I absolutely LOVE this place. Literally, I've been coming here for over six years now and they do an impeccable job. Not only are all of the employees incredibly sweet and funny, they are absolutely meticulous! The prices are great and you will be greatly impressed their services. They always exceed my expectations and never cease to impress me! The shellac manicures they do are wonderful - they literally last around 3-4 weeks (I get them redone when they grow out) and rarely chip. Highly recommended! read more

This has been my go to nail place for years. The new owner has continued to improve everything including new massage chairs. I love that they have a personal box with tools for each of their regular customers. Very clean and great selection of colors. Prices are extremely reasonable and they do a really nice job. Hi. I love this nail salon very much. Chic Nails is the place where you would like to get your nail done? I have done my nails there many times. Ever since it open I have always went there. The environment is very welcoming and warmth. The manicurist is very friendly and kind. This is not like other nail salon. The manicurist took time and talk to us. Now I love the other the people that work there. They're refreshing and always do their best, but I finally experienced one of the worst manicurist of all time. The boss there (not going to mention name) is ALWAYS late. I made an appointment and I'll say this now, I have never been sent home before. These ladies are always early whenever I make my appointment, sometimes before their shift, but the boss there was terrible! She was not only 30 minutes late but apparently this has happened to others too. Appointments are meant to be kept and it is honestly just ridiculous since I had other plans that day. I don't believe in first impressions so I specifically asked for her the next time I went, but my opinion hasn't changed one bit. She was rude and didn't even talk or ask me anything. She either talked on the phone obnoxiously with her friends or watched her shows on her iphone. I mean really?! This was the FIRST time I have ever been treated this way not only at Chic Nail, but in general. While I love the other ladies (ask for them!), I just had to make a yelp account and state my experience. I still go there, but I definitely make sure not to get the boss. p.s. I'm so sorry for the shop since I rated it so low, but I need people to read this. Made a yelp today just to talk about this place. This is my first time coming here and it is by far the best nail place I've been to. The ladies take their time when doing your nails. I got a great fill that looks like they're my real nails! I only had to tell her the length I wanted once and she shaped exactly how I asked without me having to critique her. Only downfall is that they only take cash or check but besides that they're great and even give a massage when your nails are drying. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. Worst experience ever. They are extremely rude. They do not do a thorough job on your manicure or pedicure. They do not use sterile equipment nor sanitize ANYTHING. They shared equipment with myself and the lady next to me. I got a shellac manicure and the machine to dry my nails was broken and she just would manually start it every dry process. Two days later I have an infection with yellow puss oozing out. I was definitely a mani/pedi shop-hopper for years in my quest for the best all around manicure place to go to. Chic Nails is it! The staff is very friendly and all speak English to each other so that you never feel like they are talking secretly about you. They do excellent french manicures (I go to Thuy). After recently moving to the area, I decided to try this place for a mani/pedi based upon the Yelp reviews. I will not go back, unfortunately. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the salon seemed clean to the eye....but the polish lasted only a few days before it started chipping AND they were too aggressive with the pedicure, which gave me an immediate ingrown toenail (which I never get.) They can be a little bit more professional. You tend to feel that you are in high school again, the women seem really catty and like they are talking about you to one another. Not good things i may add, as they laugh and look at you. Anyway decent prices, bad service. One thing they need to really concentrate on is treating their customers equally. They tend to treat the older "richer" looking ladies way nicer than a younger not so glam looking person. Don't judge a book i want to tell these women. This was the worst pedicure experience I have ever had. The salon person was inattentive, rude, and dismissive. She repeatedly would not listen to my requests and pushed to get finished in about 20 minutes. One foot got a massage, the other did not. When I asked her to do a little more on the back of my leg than the front she found a traditionally tender spot and applied pressure until I was yelping in pain. This should have been a relaxing and enjoyable sanctuary from the rest of the day. Instead I left feeling more stressed, the nails are missing polish at the tips, and the chair was not working properly to provide a "massage" but instead was generally ineffective and made a screeching noise when put into certain functions. This used to be a good place and maybe it still is for the "regulars" but on this occasion I needed a respite and was met with gross disrespect and a job that did not even remotely generate the reasonably desired results. Actually, I am trying to shame them into doing better next time if that is not a totally ridiculous expectation. read more

If this was my shop I would have thrown her out. A big mouth with an attitude. She made a HUGE scene in front of everyone. It would have been proper for her to take the women aside and speak to her. Instead, she chose to yell and create a scene in front of a full shop. It was apparent she was only interested in receiving something free. I was shocked she wrote such a lengthy review. Some people have nothing better to do. She opened the door and screamed and demanded her money back or she would write to yelp. This is clearly an abuse to the freedom of speech. I have been going to Chic nails for eighteen years. In that time the owners have changed and they moved their location over two doors (same shopping center but different location). My mom used to take me there as a child and they would paint my toenails for me for free while my mom would get her nails done. Over the last ten years however the service has gone down hill. Often times they charge you different rates each time your there, be aware if you have acrylics their favorite thing to do is take them completely off and charge you for a full set, even if you are there for just a fill, and sometimes they do a terrible job on the fill so when you come back you have to have the set replaced. They do tend to the older wealthy costumers better than the younger crowd. Sometimes you will get the most amazing service and other times it sucks. Last time I was there for a mani/pedi and it was not worth the money at all. It's really hit or miss. I personally am over it after eighteen years of my business I am finally going to let go and look for a new place. read more
