I opted for a combination gel manicure and gel pedicure, which was amazing! The best part is almost always the warm foot bath, massage, hot stone massage and hot towels! When it came to the manicure, it's actually a dry manicure, which I've never had before, nor have I ever heard of them! Let me tell you, there is such a thing as a dry manicure and I prefer this way better than a wet manicure. I have eczema, so I am very selective of nail salons and this was great! The different drill bits that Tracy used are to exfoliate the cuticles and around your nail bed, so minimal cutting/trimming is done. I made another appointment through their website for 07.13.26, again with Tracy, to have my gel manicure and gel pedicure removed and this time chose the combination classic manicure and classic pedicure. Basic treatments as before except for regular polish, not gel. Loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend this place! Convenient location. It's near a parking garage or there is street parking. The service and quality is great! The people are nice. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. Thank you Tracy for a great experience!

Everyone who has worked on my nails here has been great. They add hot stone to a regular pedicure and don't rush to do my nails. My pedicure has also been lasting longer. I recently had a gel cat-eye mani and regular pedi done by Sharon. Although I didn't end up loving my pedi color, Sharon did check in and I said it was good. The cat-eye was perfect and I'll probably get it again in the future. The only things I think the salon can improve on is getting more comfortable chairs and some sort of entertainment in there. There's no music or tv to watch. The chairs are pretty low and when my legs are straight out, they fall asleep easily.

I was assigned with Abby. She was truly so kind and attended to my requests. I could not pick out a certain design whether I would go matte or glossy, I kept changing my mind but she followed through and her hand paints were so cute. I'm glad I was able to get my holiday nails done. I've already booked my next nail appointment. Price can be quite steep compared to other places but considering it is in the peninsula and for a nail salon, I love it. They dont rush you and the quality of my nails look great. Parking is a bit limited (as usual since its downtown) but overall love this place. They take walk-ins but from what I heard better to book online very seamless since they are usually always busy.

This is probably the nicest nail salon I have been in unfortunately - the most UNORGANIZED salon too! I have been a customer since they opened. I am fed up! Every time I make an appointment I request one employee. 70% of the time, she is busy or better yet, not even working that day! I have made appointments to go with my friends for mani - pedi's. There are never seats together or she is at one end and I am at the other. Weekends are most unorganized! I work and weekends are my only option. They are always overbooked on the weekends and rushing all around. If you make an appointment with Allen the male owner, he will forget to enter the appointment in the computer. I have 3 gift certificates for this place - ( gifts from friends) , today, I gave one away. After last Saturday, I refuse to go back. I had to re-do my own pedicure because my nails were too long and they hurt. I am sorry to say - I will never recommend them or go back again. Rather than write to Yelp, I have spoken with Vivian in the past over employee mix ups or appointment errors and have always given them the benefit of the doubt. When you pay top dollar you expect top dollar work and top dollar care. This past weekend was just too unorganized, too rushed and just to bad!!!! read more

I have been going to Bella Nails for years - ever since they were in a tiny studio that could fit just eight therapists. I would have continued to gone to the tiny studio just because of the people and the incredible service they provide. Vivian and Alan, the owners clearly want every single person to feel thoroughly pampered - so much so that they are now in a plush new location with chairs that will rock your world and every service you can imagine from AMAZING mani/pedis to massage and spray tanning (my personal fave). Vivian is super skilled at turning you into a summer goddess in just 15 minutes or so. It is so natural... not orange at all and lasts for 7-10 days. The people are everything - and everyone at this salon is happy and welcoming. I love going there - and bringing my daughter too. I am so lucky it's in my backyard, but I'd drive serious miles for it if it wasn't. read more

I have been a long time client at Bella Nails & have always been pleased with everything. The salon is clean, stylishly appointed & the staff is always friendly. Owners Vivian & Alan have a "Hands On" approach & knowledge of their salon & are always looking for new ways to accomodate their growing business & clients with the newest trends & technology . Their basic mani's & pedi's are great, but sometime treat yourself to one of the specialty mani's or pedi's like the "Milk & Honey" it's worth the few extra $$ for a longer foot & hand massage & the paraffin dip is so hydrating. I have referred numerous people to Bella Nails & have received only positive feedback. As for the negative review by someone who once worked there, I say "Shame On You". Bella Nails is THE BEST nail salon EVER! Driving 25-30 minutes every three weeks from Cupertino to San Mateo is not an ideal commute for getting my 'paws' and 'dogs' done, but sooooooooooo worth it. :) First off, the quality and attention to detail that Vivian, the saavy proprietress, gives to my pink-and-white nail is second to none. Like Jackie L. stated, my nails always solicit compliments. The spa pedicures are relaxing with chairs that really massage, and not just do the cheap vibrating. Even my hubby comes along for regular pedicures too. For you men who think your machismo would be jeopardized by getting pedi's...think again; a fancy-footed NFL player is on this client roster. When i initially wrote this reveiw, i was still feeling the place out, but now I'm a definate fan!! I think the key to this place is consistancy. Every time i go there, Vivien is great and the service is nothing less of excellent! The place is always spotless and they do a great job! They are very accomodating and they are always very friendly! My husband bought me a gift card for a Pumpkin Spice Pedicure for my birthday awhile back, but I havent had a chance to go. I call to make an appointment and was told the Pumpkin Pedicure is discontinue but they have a Mint Chocolate Pedicure just in time for Valentines Day. So I book and appointment for 2 and brought my hubby with me. It was my husband first time getting a pedicure and he loooooooved it. Not to mention the gal that work on him was so sweet and attentive. It was one of the most relaxing experience we had in a long time. We are so happy to do this together. omg! if your the kind of person that sometimes grows there eyebrows out and decides to go to a salon to get them done after about three months of looking like your pissed all the time, do not come to this place thinking your gonna look any better! they suck suck suck at eyebrows! they think they know it all, but yuck! they made me look weird! my eyebrows were misshapen! one was round and the other was straight. and on top of that, i asked for an arch!! i waited to get my eyebrow professionally done so i can look fresh faced! instead i walk out of that place looking like my eyebrows were done by a little kid or something! plus they were red and i was slightly burned by her wax! you suck bella nails! no way will i recommend anyone to you! read more

This place is horrible.... I came in here with my friend who got a Brazilian done and mani/pedi. I only wanted to get a manicure and brought my own nail polish. When I sat down the lady offered me a hot tea and I accepted. As I was waiting for the water to cool down she asked me to start drinking my tea.. I assumed she was joking so I laughed and after that things started to go really bad. The lady did a HORRIBLE job painting my nails and yelled at me when I accidentally ruined one of the nails. She refused to fix it and I still had to pay a ridiculous amount for a horrible manicure. Don't go here. Honestly. You can find so many other nail salons that will actually treat you with respect and will give you your money's worth. read more

Bella Nails is one of the most accommodating yet relaxing salons in the Peninsula. I have been going there for years and every time my experience has gotten better and better. The services that they offer are incredibly priced for the quality in which they are given and am pleased to pay $45 for a manicure and pedicure. When i say accommodating, I mean they accommodate to their clients every need. ALSO, the Infinity Sun Spray Tan that they offer is amazing. It is completely natural looking and it doesn't smell at all. Haven't tried it yet, but now they are even offering the infrared body wrap! While the location is convenient and the ambiance is beautiful, the actual service is the worst of any local nail salon I have been to. This includes their attitude (RUSHED, unfriendly, disinterested) to their skills (half-hearted, rushed massage and foot scrubbing, sloppy filing, and they cut my cuticle one one finger and caused bleeding.) It is too bad the owner of the salon does not invest half as much in quality employees as she does in the surroundings. I think once in my entire life have I not tipped someone in any type of setting for awful service, but I left without tipping and plan to never return. I've been to many nails salon and i have to say "this one out-do them all". Reasonable price, great customer service and most of all, this place is super clean. It doesnt smell like most of the other nails salon. I had a manicure and pedicure done together by two different tech. and they both did a wonderful job. Their tools came from a sterylizing pouch and i even see an autoclave machine which they use to steam their tools. I'm very satisfied with the service i recieved, will definitely return for other services. I heard they have an infro-red body wrap treatment that can help lose inches around the waist. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars vs 1 is because the lady who did my pedicure was good. However, I definitely felt rushed not to mention the manager kept interrupting my mani and pedi to go work on other clients who needed waxing services. She made me wait for 10 minutes while the manicurist did someone's eyebrows and then interrupted a second time for a brazilian wax - REALLY? Horrible customer service, the manager was rude and awful (not to mention I witnessed her being rude to another client) and you will feel rushed. Never going back! read more

Wow, this place really sucks! From the lack of technician expertise to the indifferent, bordering on unfriendly, attitude the entire experience was unsatisfactory. The only saving grace is the upscale feel of the salon. However, it hardly compensates for such low quality service. The front desk personnel (manager?) oozed phony charm, but rushed me as I was trying to choose which pedicure spa service to purchase, which made me feel uncomfortable and hurried. Love it that after 2 1/2 weeks my pedicure are STILL INTACT & SHINY!!! I've been here a couple of times and my experiences varies from 3.5-4 stars because sometimes they are so busy that it takes away the whole experience, but my last 2 visits has been AWESOME! My guess is because they opened the new shop and that's diverting some of their clients away from this location. Which is a PLUS for me! Wknds can be a lil' hectic, my g/f and I try to go during the wkdays (tues/weds) when they're a bit slow and had a fantastic time. read more

Love this place! The technicians know how to work together and make the place as comfortable and efficient as possible. I always walk-in and have no problem getting my mani-pedi without too long of a wait (even when it's slammed). I love getting my shellac there- it lasts weeks and looks perfect! Ok, so I'll be the first guy to yelp this place. Yes, I get pedicures. So what. From what I hear, an ex-football player gets his nails done at this place too. The owners are cool and staff are nice. You can splurge at this place if you want and do chocolate foot spas but I haven't done that yet. I definitely recommend this place for pedicures. $45 NOW for a mani/pedi. NO THANK YOU. Used to go here often. Not anymore. Fastest massage I've ever received. Shaping of nails not so great. Not sure if their equipment is clean.....never see the tools in any soaking liquid. They raised their prices again! (Hello, maybe next time you might want to give your customers some notice). I have been going to Vivian since she was doing pedicures out of a tub in a hair salon, and I have never gone anywhere else since for my nails! Their acrylic and gel nails are the best, and completely worth the money you spend. The different season special pedicures are amazing. The woman who completed my pedicure shared that she had to do the callous remover twice. IMO, if I'm investing a premium amount to add on a callous remover, I would hope the service would be fully complete. And because it wasn't as thorough as the first time, I appreciated her efforts a second time (she did it without me having to ask her to do it again). Another odd factor, was the shape of the pedicured toes. Some are half square rounded and others are half rounded on random toes. Finally, I had to request to take out the nail polish that was left behind on my skin so it was clean. According to the owner she was so busy she forgot to hit it down. But I should have trusted my instinct and come back another day but I didn't and said okay to the lady she offered instead of the one I wanted. Long story short I developed an infection because she didn't cut my ingrown properly and well now the orthopedic had to perform a matrixectomy and for now won't be getting a pedicure for a long time.

My big toe was the worst; she cut it so deeply she had to use that green medicine to stop the blood. But the horror show wasn't over. As if the pain weren't enough, she finished by spraying my raw, open wounds with alcohol. The stinging was so intense I yelped and told her to turn on the water so I could rinse it off. Then, she leaned over and started blowing on my toes, and I just couldn't believe it. I thought it was some kind of sick joke. I was in agony for three days and couldn't wear closed-toe shoes. The worst part? I was in so much shock and pain that I still gave her a tip. Obviously, I would not recommend this place.
