I was a little apprehensive that we would have to wait to get a table but the hostess took us right away. We sat outside because we had my dog with us. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. However, she kept forgetting the small things, like glasses of water and sugar for our coffee. When she brought us the sugar each time she would only give us three packets and their were three of us at the table drinking coffee and tea. So that was pretty annoying. The food was good. We usually go to Silver Diner but this was a good change of pace. I ordered the French Toast with Bacon and eggs. It was good, I wish they used different bread for the toast though. Their wasn't really anything special about the dish. My parents ordered the Make Your Mark which included two eggs, meat, hashbrowns, and toast. They both enjoyed their breakfast. Everything was prepared and cooked to their liking. Overall, we had a good experience. Not sure when I will be back. But if you are in the area check them out. Cheers!

It's a really good deal, they are a bit small but nice and briney. Came here with a friend on a Monday afternoon. I think we got the bottom of the fries because it was a lot of small cuts that just felt like the skins. You also have to make sure you ask for sauce. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd definitely come back if I'm spending an afternoon in Rio!

They especially enjoyed the outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. The ambiance was nice. Since the new ownership the decor is a little more sophisticated. They did not come with the normal fixings like horseradish or vinegar. So I was a bit disappointed by that and the presentation wasn't the greatest as well (pictured). I also ordered the smash burger. The burger was very juicy and delicious as well as the fries. The service was good. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The owner made sure to come and visit us as well to ensure we did not need anything. That was well received and appreciated. It was a great time. Cheers!

We decided to go to Silver Diner because we enjoy sitting outside viewing the lake. When we walked in we were greeted by the friendly host who took us to the outside patio hostess to put our name down on the waitlist. Once we put our name on the waitlist we had to wait 15 min for a table which wasn't bad. Once we were seated our waitress came over (Milka) and explained the menu and took our order. She was very friendly and attentive at first but then fell off during the remainder of the service. We ordered two cups of coffee and the mimosa flight. The first cups of coffee came out quickly. It took a little while for the mimosa flight to come up but that was understandable. Then we ordered our food. We ordered Belgian waffles with bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese. We also ordered two eggs over easy with bacon and home fries. Like I mentioned earlier the food is never a disappointment. All the food came out quickly, and hot and tasted delicious. While we were enjoying our food we had to ask multiple waiters to bring us more coffee because our waiter did not come back to check on us for a long period of time unfortunately. Normally waiters come back periodically to check on the table but she did not. She only came to check on us when she saw us asking our waiters for coffee. When she approached our table it seemed as though she had an attitude. We asked her for cream and sugar she brought it over right away but slammed it on the table with her attitude. Overall, we had a decent experience. I wish our waiter was more attentive and friendly. But the food was good. So we will be back for food with hopes that the service improves.

My husband has just gone inside to see if there will ever be a server. Update: the server eventually showed up, took our order, and dropped it off. I think not having a server was better than the food and drinks that were delivered. The "mimosa" (didn't even go for bottomless, so this is even more disappointing) was just orange juice. Check the color in the photo. $10ish for a glass of orange juice hurts my soul. Also, the pizza was soggier than my armpits on a summer day in Louisiana. But wait, there's more! We tried to get a glass of prosecco so I could mix it with my orange juice. My husband wound up going inside, ordering it and paying for it at the bar, all because the server was (once again) missing! Absolutely wild that it's faster to bypass the server when you have a table, and the place isn't even busy. Two stars because we were here another time and the server wasn't dreadful that time.

I have to say, though busy, the service didn't miss a beat. Jenn - our server - was attentive/kind and fun. As always with every time I've been here, it slapped. Sides were solid, the steak was cooked to perfection and them ribs were disappearing off the plate! Good times. We followed up our entrees with a solid - and I mean solid - bread pudding. Jeez, this thing is decadent, but we got after it. Jenn brought us a scoop of ice cream and we went to town! Delicious. If you've got a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and grab the Bread Pudding. It was soft, pillowy, but sweet (not overly sweet) and filling. As for ambiance, again, we were kickin it patio side and could see the water just fine. Honestly, this was a dope backdrop for our super deep convo on Frank Ocean vs. Frankie Beverley. Absolutely fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had the rainbow trout with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was fresh, light, and tasty. The trout itself was a very generous portion. For dessert, we dove into their Chocolate Uprising: Sort of like a ice cream sandwich on steroids with heavy cream and a chocolate and caramel base. It was fantastic and insane and we just couldn't finish it! I cannot remember having caramel that good (not sweet but rich). The staff is excellent. They work so well in concert from running food to clearing dishes. The bartenders are outstanding. I had a perfect Hendrick's Gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and my girlfriend loved her Malibu Bay Breeze. Yes, it's still a tasty bite, yet it's well worth studying the menu to understand ingredients and roll presentation to avoid disappointment. My previous review of this place remains unchanged- Coastal Flats is a reliable source of quality seafood dining. A bit expensive imo, but ok for business expense accounts and special events- like having a lobster roll craving. FYI- it's reasonably possible to make your own lobster roll at home with little effort and a better traditional result and price. Buy frozen lobster meat ( tail and claw) from a good source like Cameron's Seafood. No cooking or picking needed. Season and butter to taste while gently warming, and serve in a toasted (or not) split hot dog roll. Yeah, you can add Old Bay, but that is not for everyone. Keep it pure and simple.

We ordered the Big Eaters Platter, the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, and shared a Nutella Crepe with Strawberries for dessert. The portions were generous, especially the Big Eaters Platter, making it a solid choice if you're coming in hungry. The corned beef hash was decent, and the Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries was a nice sweet finish to the meal. That said, I thought the food was just okay for the price. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The quality was solid, but I left feeling like there are better breakfast options in the area for the same price point. If you work nearby or are visiting one of the surrounding medical offices or hospitals, I could definitely see this being a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. However, as someone visiting the area, I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to. Overall, friendly service and a clean restaurant helped make for a pleasant experience, but the food didn't quite justify the price. The omelet arrived well done. I forgave that but this was the blandest chorizo I had ever tasted. It was devoid of flavor and there was no hint of any kind of spice. At least the peppers and onions had some flavor. What I tasted the most was grease and that prevented me from finishing the omelet. The hash browns were crispy at least. The latte was ultra-bitter and tasted burnt -- severely burnt. I will not go back.
