I wish we came this way more often because this place is top notch. The owner has an amazing…read morememory because she said it had been a while since she'd seen us and that we'd lost weight. Both quite true but given I think it had been close to three years since we had been there, it is pretty impressive! I ordered the farmhouse sandwich on a biscuit, it was out of this world good. The potato cake had great flavor but subtle, went perfectly with the egg, savory turkey sausage and just the right amount of sour cream. Man oh man. I don't eat a big breakfast often but this is so good. We brought desserts home, the bread pudding we loved on our previous visit and the tres leches. Both spectacular. I seriously need to make excuses to come out here more often. This is "home cooking" at its finest.

Still one of the best food spots in Gaithersburg/Germantown in my opinion. Came for brunch and…read moreordered the farmhouse sandwich while my wife got the huevos rancheros. Both were absolutely fantastic. My sandwich was filling, and the homemade turkey sausage was different in a good way. The picture doesn't look super appetizing but I enjoyed it thoroughly. My wife's entree also tasted great from the bite I took. Savory as can be. She also ordered a caramel macchiato which was okay, a little too sweet for her. The standout item for me was the sourdough cinnamon roll. Holy smokes. It was sweet, warm, soft, and slightly sour. So delicious. Other than the food, the inside is pretty cute, and the people working are still some of the nicest with great customer service. My wife made me promise to bring her back soon which I definitely will.

What a cool, fun place to dine…read more Cooper Canyon offers a varied array of dishes in a comfortable and open dining environment. Ava took care of us and she was simply amazing from her demeanor and kindness to her stellar recommendations. We began with their extremely fresh spinach dip that included salsa and sour cream. My girlfriend ordered the massive, warm, and yummy cornbread skillet as well as their Fiesta Eggrolls. I am not an eggroll fan but these were the best I have ever had. Absolutely fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had the rainbow trout with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was fresh, light, and tasty. The trout itself was a very generous portion. For dessert, we dove into their Chocolate Uprising: Sort of like a ice cream sandwich on steroids with heavy cream and a chocolate and caramel base. It was fantastic and insane and we just couldn't finish it! I cannot remember having caramel that good (not sweet but rich). The staff is excellent. They work so well in concert from running food to clearing dishes. The bartenders are outstanding. I had a perfect Hendrick's Gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and my girlfriend loved her Malibu Bay Breeze. We look forward to returning -- and we'll start with the Chocolate Uprising and go from there!

As a vegetarian I feel like they did not have that many options which was disappointing - and the ones that they do, I feel are over priced. Very average food- you're paying for the view not necessarily quality of food. Service was good, our server was sweet but food took a while to get out. It's alright, but would check out other places before here- but the drinks were fabulous! So maybe apps and drinks by the water during sunset?!

There are many traditional American and Latin menu choices, well prepared food, reasonable prices, and gracious staff. The spacious, clean, properly equipped, and completely stocked restrooms way down the long hall are especially reassuring compared to many other restaurants. Complaint - The omelettes deserve larger than standard dinner plates.

6/27/26: Stopped by Tasty Nook Cafe for breakfast while I was in the Medical Center area. The…read morerestaurant was clean, the staff was welcoming, and the service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Big Eaters Platter, the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, and shared a Nutella Crepe with Strawberries for dessert. The portions were generous, especially the Big Eaters Platter, making it a solid choice if you're coming in hungry. The corned beef hash was decent, and the Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries was a nice sweet finish to the meal. That said, I thought the food was just okay for the price. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The quality was solid, but I left feeling like there are better breakfast options in the area for the same price point. If you work nearby or are visiting one of the surrounding medical offices or hospitals, I could definitely see this being a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. However, as someone visiting the area, I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to. Overall, friendly service and a clean restaurant helped make for a pleasant experience, but the food didn't quite justify the price. A good neighborhood café if you're close by, but probably not a destination breakfast spot.
