Great place to meet friends. Music not too loud and fantastic service. Beer was good and food was tasty. Beet salad had too much goat cheese, but otherwise delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food, particularly the shrimp sandwich and burger.

Very cool brewery with a very nice selection of craft beers on tap. Something for every taste. The food is amazing. Lots of skill in the kitchen. They make my taste buds so very happy. The service is excellent and comes with a welcoming friendliness. Lots of comfortable indoor seating and a very inviting outdoor areas as well. Both the brewery and food service are good enough to succeed separately but together are amazing.

It's been a hot minute since I last reviewed this spot, and they've had a big menu revamp, but the beer is still great, and the food even better. They have happy hour from 2-5pm, which means 50% off draft beers and lots of discounted yummies to eat. And although not included in the happy hour deals, I highly recommend the jager schnitzel--it's so so so so good! The mushroom sauce on top of the schnitzel is absolutely divine. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, just take your pick :)

I really like Kunstler but please just update your website or get, even social media to let patrons know what you have! Decided to celebrate Fathers Day early as our kids are working all weekend so headed here / it was great but the menu and service not so so much! Checked out the menu before we arrived but when we got here they had a very paired down menu printed ! Told us they had several team members out so had to pair down the kitchen yet the printed menu was customized to the day and did not look freshly printed / and the server told us they had specific things on specific days - so just go with that and let people know ahead of time !! Beer menu was however correct so tired their pale ale/ IPA flight which was good! Food wise the cheese board was great and the pretzel buns were insane - warm, fresh and fluffy!! The lobster roll was as also fantastic and kids enjoyed the fries Service was meh - had to order the pickle plate twice and second beer took forever!! Great food and beer but service is sloppy and website may not be accurate!

Positives: Cool Vibe Varied and reasonable menu Beet salad was so amazing Beer was interesting and good Serve cider and wine as well Great HH with $3 beers! Negatives: Incredibly slow service. It was my fist visit so I'm not sure if it was an off day or they were understaffed but our beer took forever to come out. I actually went to the bar to go get it, but they didn't let me do that and said it would be delivered soon. Luckily we weren't in a hurry.

We met up with some friends for dinner - us being our first visit and them a few times. Parking was tight, but we managed to find a spot smack in front of the restaurant .. they do have an overflow lot close by. Know this restaurant is located in a neighborhood, not on a main street. Their seating consisted of a main/bar area, a sports area, and outdoor seating. We sat in the main room and was greeted by our server, who told us that she was fairly new. They make all their beers in house which was kinda cool! All were listed on the wall in the bar area. Everyone tried a few samples at our table to get a taste, but it was kinda funny how each sample was hardly a pour to taste... maybe a large tablespoon? But anyways we ordered a few - the Confident Bitch , which was ok and I ordered a non alcoholic drink per server recommendation- the strawberry mint lemonade. Needed a good stir to get the strawberry flavor. We ordered: Schnitzel- generous portion with a nice mushroom gravy, but very bland. Hubby said it needed some salt or some kinda seasoning. Shrimp roll- very disappointed at how the shrimp was swimming in some kind of mayo. Shrimp was nice and meaty but the lemon dill aioli and arugula had no flavor at all. It needed salt and pepper, something ...but no condiments were available table side. The fries had no seasoning as well. I asked the server when ordering if I could substitute a salad instead fries, but she stated that was not possible. My friends asked for mayo to dip their fries in and the server stated they had no mayo. Disappointing But cool environment. Not sure if we'll come back.

Ambiance: German inspired brewery with a huge outdoor patio area as well as indoor dining restaurant space and bar! This is honestly one of the best breweries in San Antonio! Amazing food and their beer list is incredible. As a wine lover, I highly recommend the Red Wine Supernova Belgian triple! One of the best beers I've ever had in my life. Limited parking onsite as well as street parking. Does get crowded! Dog friendly and kid friendly patio space. Perfect spot for large groups and hanging out with family/friends. Very accommodating service and staff. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite breweries in town! If a brewery can brew great beer & serve great food, it's solid! The workers are always attentive and friendly making you feel welcome. The main room has the German style pub setting. A big space with warm wood colors. They also have a side room with TVs to catchup on whichever sports event is going on. There's also a large outdoor area they've added recently if you are there with your pets along with a covered outdoor area in front of the place near the entrance. Have came here 10+ times over the years and have had nothing but great experiences. Also checkout their trivia if you are down for that. If coming from out of town, this is the brewery I suggest you visit first.

Dinner on the porch with an excellent pretzel, beer and brat combo.

This feels like a true "locals" kind of place, which is exactly the kind of spot I do my best to visit when exploring a new city. Künstler Brewing is a little off the beaten path, which is just fine by me and adds a little mystery to experience. After a great interaction with the server, I opted for the Debigulator, which was perfect for wrapping up an evening of travelling. To pair with that, I went with their Bavarian pretzel, which is one of the best I've ever had. I also went with a brat and some of their homemade mustard. Everything was outstanding. And for the icing on the Kuchen, it was brought to my attention that it was karaoke night, so I couldn't leave without giving the fine folks of San Antonio at least one song. Right?

My favorite was My Dads Pils.

Shawn and everyone that Saturday were so nice and welcoming. She gave us great recommendations. Pretzel with the cheese was very good. We had a flight each. We enjoyed the vibe and the beer.

Adorable place! There are several seating areas, a main bar room, a mostly sports hall with several TVs, and outdoor patio seating with a playground so it's very kid and family friendly. The service outdoors is online and they bring drinks and food out. Great beer and a decent wine selection. The food is great also. They have a curry cauliflower side dish that is really worth trying if you like cauliflower! The outdoor seating can be hot, but it's a very nice place to sit and on some weekends they have little vendors with handmade goods set up or live music. I would love if they added some misters or fans! Parking: They have parking in front, or in a lot down the street, or street parking.

We havnt been to our favorite craft brewery in a while so we decided to visit Kunstlers over the weekend. The Brewery has evolved over the years and offers many locations to enjoy food and beverages but, we are always drawn to the front porch seating when weather permits. I love the rustic decor in the main taproom area and the beautiful garden space that offers a kid friendly area and a pergola to provide shade to patrons as well. The food is delicious and beautiful in its presentation and today was no different as we ordered the jumbo Bavarian Pretzel and the Currywurst. The Currywurst is perfectly crisp French fries topped with aioli sauce, curry Ketchup and a sliced brat. It had a beautiful presentation and was just as delicious as it was appealing to the eye. Just the perfect amount of flavor and seasoning to complement the crispy fries. I'm not a big beer person but when I visit Kunstler, I always find a good Stout to try because I prefer the rich, dark beer. For those who prefer other drinks, they have a pretty good wine list for a brewery. The service is always good with multiple servers checking in on our table. This neighborhood brewery located on the edge of Southtown is a great choice for a meal or a quick stop.

Came here for a happy hour on a Monday night. It wasn't super busy but had a good number of customers already there. Tons of outdoor space and dog friendly. Good for groups. Beers are $3 for happy hour and you get a few dollars off their food menu. Everything is relatively affordable. Nota bene: They have a hard 5:00 p.m. cut off for happy hour so if they enter an order in at 5:01, you will get charged full price.

Do they have their own parking lot?

They have a few spots that are right in front of the building, all street parking, as well as a private parking lot (grass lot) right next door that's specifically allocated for the establishment.

Does anyone know if you can bring a birthday cake?

Ya sure can

What time does the kitchen close?

Tonight it closes at 11:30pm.

Do they use German hops or American?

Is WiFi available for patrons?

Yes we have WiFi

Is this place kid friendly?

They allow kids. They don't have a playground like the Friendly Spot if that's what you mean. Just tables and beer

Service was prompt, and the ambiance is a funky cross between a bakery and a diner. Parking is easy in their private lot. I first tried their 'Texas Style' pastrami Reuben sandwich. This is smoked pastrami brisket, served with on their house-made marbled rye and topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. Quite a bit different than a NYC-style sandwich. The aioli instead of dressing, thicker slices, etc etc. But wow, did it taste good. It's as if a pastrami Reuben and a sliced smoked brisket sandwich had a love child who inherited the best from each parent. I also tried their salmon gravlax on an 'everything' bagel. This bagel was baked in-house, topped with the cured salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, and a sprig of dill. Rustic, beautiful, and delicious. Definite recommend! I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,
