Beer was good. Dogs welcome. Felt like a great place for locals. Don't offer food but have several places near by that one can order food from.

SUCH a vibe here. Moderate volume, board games, complimentary water bowls/dog beds, a military discount, and super friendly staff that greet you by name. (I had a tab open but still makes you feel like a friend :)) Great selection of beer and wine, but not overwhelming. Outdoor seating but well behaved pups allowed inside. They don't offer food (maybe to prevent begging?) so eat before but they do have homemade treats for sale. Wish these were everywhere!

San Antonio desperately needed this place! I love to take my dog out with me but outdoor bars/patios can be too hot to enjoy some days. We randomly came across Thirsty Pups and we were so excited to find it. They welcome dogs with leashes on indoors. This will definitely be our spot to escape the heat this summer with our pup. Also, they have an interesting selection of brews at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

This was our first time at Thirsty Puls and it did not disappoint! We were also pleased to see an old brewery friend, Miguel, working there! The beer was tasty and there was plenty of options to choose from. Our only set back is that this place is pretty small and allows dogs. If there are crazy dogs, you (and your dogs) might be right by them. Also, there are no food options (at least we didn't see any when we went on a Sunday). I am not sure if they have food trucks either since the location is in a shopping plaza. We had a great time and will be back!

Rubia Soho (Blonde Ale) is definitely my favorite.

Best neighborhood brewery in the area for sure. I have come several times and I see "regulars" always. The beer selection is great, from light to strong ones and they all are really good. The plus is how pet-friendly they are, it is always cool to see some pooches hanging out.

This is the place to come if you like craft beers and like to take your dog with you. It is a small but cozy building with friendly service. They had a small but tasty selection beers. Of course, there's a dog under every table - pretty cool actually.

Great beer on tap and super friendly environment! If we ever find ourselves in San Antonio again we will be back! Make sure to pet Lennon :)

I had never even heard of this new brewery. That was shocking to me, since I had been compiling a list of breweries to take my buddy two when he comes to visit in a few weeks. I happened upon this place while eating at the Japanese restaurant next door with my retirees last week. Unfortunately, it wasn't open on Tuesdays, or I would have gone in that afternoon. Anyway, my son and I popped in after eating Afghan food next door. The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by a lady who guided us right to where she would take our order. We didn't have to look around and figure out where to go. I really liked that. She was super nice and helpful as I ordered. I had a flight, like I always do when trying out a new brewery. I wish I could tell you I had two, but I was already feeling bloated from eating way too much for lunch. I decided to try all three of the IPAs on tap today and finish with the Abuelito's porter. My son got a wheat beer, but I don't remember the name. My flight was served on a transparent acrylic paddle board. The lady had written the beer names right on it with an erasable marker. I changed the drinking order when I saw them, and drank from lightest to darkest, as is my habit. I liked all three of the IPAs. But, as I expected beforehand, my favorite was the hazy. There is just something about those citrus flavors in a hazy that really turns me on. The porter was a really nicely crafted chocolate. If we had stayed for more, I would have had a full pour of it. I like a good porter, and it seems like only a few of our San Antonio breweries have them consistently. I like the clean industrial look they have there. It was very comfortable, and the people hanging out there all seemed laid back and friendly. I am looking forward to my next visit with my buddy later this month.

A great place for a drink with great vibes and atmosphere. Dog friendly and awesome service. Pups are allowed indoors :) Also there are some pretty great restaurants nearby where you can grab the food or have it delivered while you chug away at your yummy beer. The beer is delicious. The owners know what they're doing. No "trial" period for this brewery. They've started out with steam and the community has taken notice. Definitely will be returning. A great add to the list of breweries in town! Come check it out!

First time to Thirsty Pups and it won't be my last! The place has a great ambiance. There isn't a kitchen so you can bring in your own food. The next door Azro will bring the food you offer to you at the brewery and they offer their lunch specials to their patrons which is amazing!! I came for their new beer Ctrl Alt Da Wheat and it was so delicious! Check their socials for the newest beers!

Favorite beers of the night: Fancy meeting you sour - mild sour with bright notes of citrus and ginger Moyamensing Hazy IPA - beautiful, smooth, tropical fruits with a nice delay of bitterness at the end Milos Imperial Stout - If the signature namesake drink of powder chocolate milk was a grown ass person with a nice pair of leather stomping boots. Excellent variety of flavors and styles that is great for the whole family... and ice cold water and treats to offer for the pups

Great hangout for people and dogs. There were families that brought their kids and they get to watch some tv or play board games. It's a small place with nano size equipment, but they have a good number on tap. I got 10oz pours of the pils, hazy ipa and ube porter. The porter was the best as it has a distinctive ube-coconut aroma that reminds me of an ube shake, but once you taste it, that flavor is light and goes very well with the porter profile. The pils was special too as it had some raw honey(?) notes. You can order food nearby and eat at the brewery. The people that run this place are very pleasant.

Service was prompt, and the ambiance is a funky cross between a bakery and a diner. Parking is easy in their private lot. I first tried their 'Texas Style' pastrami Reuben sandwich. This is smoked pastrami brisket, served with on their house-made marbled rye and topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. Quite a bit different than a NYC-style sandwich. The aioli instead of dressing, thicker slices, etc etc. But wow, did it taste good. It's as if a pastrami Reuben and a sliced smoked brisket sandwich had a love child who inherited the best from each parent. I also tried their salmon gravlax on an 'everything' bagel. This bagel was baked in-house, topped with the cured salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, and a sprig of dill. Rustic, beautiful, and delicious. Definite recommend! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,
