Great service and superior bathroom. Service was outstanding. Beer was grade A, but pizza was just OK. Really loved the 401K brew.

We had been to Freetail before for beer but had never tried their food. After walking over 6 miles on the San Antonio river trail in scorching heat and humidity, we needed to rehydrate with some electrolytes. Recognizing our exhaustion from the walk, our waitress promptly seated us in the coolest area of the room and provided refreshing ice waters to rehydrate. Her attentiveness throughout our visit was remarkable, and we absolutely loved her! Our thirsts were quenched with beer; my personal favorite is Bat from Helles, and my husband's was the Conserveza. To accompany the drinks, we ordered the club Cobb Salad and Greek salad with an additional gyro for $3. It turned out to be one of the best salads I've ever had! The club salad had tender and lean chicken breast, along with eggs, bacon bits, avocado, and fresh lettuce. My Greek salad was phenomenal! The gyro meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, complemented by thick chunks of feta, tomatoes, red onions, and fresh romaine, without being overloaded with dressing. It was so fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavor that I can't wait to eat it again!

Great service, decent beer i just got confused where the entrance was. Big screen tv will be a cool spot to watch a game

Really good beers to have on our way in to downtown San Antonio. We tried several sips of their IPAs.. Helles... blonde Ales. Made it hard to choose. Sit inside and watch a game or on the patio and see a train. If ya don't like my rhyme.... Do a few beers and give it some time.

One of my favorite places to go on a Thursday. The Speed Burro running group meets up here on Thursday nights at 6:30 PM and runs a 5K. Then we all enjoy the delicious food and beer at this establishment.

Good selection of beer, great pizza, laid back brewery warehouse vibes with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Greek pizza was Very Good and not just for pub standards. Very busy for Wednesday night due to an SAFC local soccer game watch party, but the staff did an excellent job getting food and beers out to everyone quickly.

I love it here! We came back in Sept 2023 after a day at the zoo! We were immediately greeted by Sam! He took our order, was attentive and polite. Always checkin on us and making sure everything was good. The food was amazing! The pizza is great, that crust is delicious and I'm not a crust person! Here I AM. Ever since we have been back for Eclipse Viewing! We had pizza once more early in the morning lol and chips with brisket cheese! YALL got to try that! We came back again last night! Finally Sam was in!He was again super nice and attentive! I'm glad people like him exist! Great person overall and adds to the experience. Freetail is also LE/ MILITARY FRIENDLY. We were happy because we ate at our favorite pizza place, we took a date night on Wed , without plan and it was great! They have big screens playing the games! We had date night special two tap beers and a med pizza! $28 can't beat it. Of course we had to get chips and queso! And topped it off with a cheesecake! Anyways! Look no further! This place is a south of downtown gem! A San Antonio Gem!

I've been seeing this place and finally was able to check it out for the yoga and pour on Friday night. The yoga was so good! Although it was toasty, it was a really good class. And the beer afterwards was the cherry on top! I've tasted FreeTail before at a few spots around SA, so I knew I liked their beer. The IPA, 401k, was . Easy to drink. Hops flavor on point. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Will be back since it's literally up the street!

Is this sampler glass half empty or half full? Hmmm...

I've noticed every year more and more events are being planned specifically around, "Dia De Los Muertos." There are food, drink and now the city's first river parade to celebrate it. So why not an event named after a local craft beer? Well the Freetail Brewing Co. has been doing one for a decade named after you guessed it, a seasonal beer. It's called "La Muerta", a much sought after stout in the craft beer circle. I have been wanting to do this event for years but like Pat Benatar says, "Life's what happens when you make other plans." Needless to say I bought general admission tickets for $30 bucks and some change. The price includes a sample glass, eight tickets for 8 small pours and a bottle of "La Muerta." Initially when I came I was anticipating a full house. Instead the crowd was at a manageable level, you could freely maneuver through. In keeping with the theme there were artisan's booths, mariachis and people dressed in elaborate costumes. In the main area where the brewing tanks are stationed a sample pouring table is set up. They had different variants of "La Muerta" alongside beers pulled from their cellar. Looking at the sample glass and the size of the pours one assumes if the price merits what's served. However the samples are deceptively strong and sneak up on you. By my fifth pour I was feeling as limber as a ghost. My only critique is in the seating arrangements. There were little to no available tables once it was in full swing. Even the usage of communal benches limits the spacing of this event. Next year they need to increase possible seating or allow you to bring your own chairs. In addition whole pours were not being sold if you enjoyed a specific variant. I thought this was kinda lame but not a dealbreaker. I know that a limited supply of barrels are created for the festival. I hope next year they will reconsider allowing you to buy limited snifter sized pours. Having said all these things this festival is still unique. The crowd are all stout- hounds who want to taste a beer that is here from a short time, then is gone. It almost seems like a metaphor for life. Ok I'll stop my Waldo Emerson stylings, at least for now. If you wanna try something different and you love local craft beer like myself go seek this event. It happens only once a year. Don't forget to leave a drink for your loved ones. Hopefully one day someone will return the sentiment back.

Full menu since our last visit. We got The Greek...amazing pizza. Also live their Caesar salad (real anchovy taste). Beer selection always stellar, although I chose a cider tonight. Will be back! Great vibe!

That's odd because it is open-seating without a hostess stand. I'm glad we just rolled with it. Also, seating is quite limited, even with the patio. We walked around twice before another couple got up, and we grabbed their seats. Now, with no hostess, this is a recipe for exactly what happened to us. No one came by the table for well over ten minutes (possibly fifteen). Once they did, we had very attentive service. None of that changes the fact that the guy who told us to "sit anywhere" walked past us four times without acknowledging our presence. The food is only average. The schnitzel appetizer was unseasoned and tough. The fried bologna sandwich for my wife was extremely good. She was not as fond of the potato salad. It did not really look like it was picking a side - neither German-style nor southern. She said it had some characteristics of German-style, but there was a definite mayo-based dressing. As for my pastrami sandwich...the pastrami was quite good. Honestly, I do not understand why it is so hard to find good pastrami in a state like Texas (you know, with such an historical mix of cultures that virtually spread it across the globe). This pastrami came in at a solid B. The remainder of the sandwich was completely awful. Tough bread, minimal cheese. I don't eat rotted cabbage (sauerkraut) or thousand island, so I put mayo on the sandwich. As a side note, whoever writes the menu should know that a sandwich with those four components is called a "Reuben," rather than "pastrami sandwich." Anyway, good beer, as should be the case with any brew-pub kind of place. The location is on a narrow, residential street. There is really only street parking, so you REALLY have to want to come here to deal with that level of nonsense. It was an interesting visit, but definitely not worth a return. Ever.

A perfect day to eat outside , the six of us sat at an outdoor table. Our server was friendly and the menu had something for each one of us. We ordered fried mushrooms for the table and it came out pretty fast. The mushroom texture was kinda rubbery and others said the beer cheese dipping sauce had no flavor. We then put our drinks and lunch orders in. I really enjoyed the peach fruit geyser-beer. Thereafter, service went downhill. We noticed all customers that came and ordered after us were getting their food before we did. We were starving ! We had to flag down our server to find out was going on. After a long wait, our plates slowly started coming out. The turkey avocado BLT was pretty good- thick cut seasoned turkey, delicious thick cut bacon, I don't remember tasting much of the avocado, and I enjoyed the sourdough bread and fresh salad. Hubby had the chicken and waffles- he said it was ok- they were chicken tenders as opposed to fried chicken and the waffle was very dry. Food was just ok and service was very slow. Not sure we'll be back...
