Stopped by on a whim a few weeks ago. It was earlier in the day so we were the only ones there. The server was super enthusiastic and very energetic. He recommended a few of the pizzas on the menu so we went with his recommendation for the one with brisket. Over all, it was enough to make me want to go back and try others that they have. I'd say, 7/10. Having a sweet bbq sauce that balanced the saltiness of the brisket would've been better in my opinion but it was worth the trip. We tried two of their beers as well. The place looks like it would be an amazing time at night. I'll be back!

This place was pretty quiet when we went on a Saturday and we don't know why because the food was great! We ordered brisket nachos and they make the chips there! It was soooo good! My husband liked the beers and the sangria was also good! We would definitely recommend! The service was also amazing!

My husband and I were excited to try this new small business, we love supporting small and local businesses! It's a neat setting, tucked off the highway in a more warehouse style building, small parking lot. As we entered there seemed to be plenty of family style seating and a couple of different rooms with more seating. We sat by the bar at a table that was for socializing and meeting new people. We were welcomed in and the service was very good, although a little slow, they seemed short staffed. My husband ordered a beer flight and said it was ok, he only really enjoyed one of the beers. I ordered a mint lemonade, it came 3/4 full and no ice (?), but it was good and refreshing. We were quite disappointed with the food, I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was heavy on the sauerkraut and pickles and very light on the pastrami so it basically tasted like a sauerkraut sandwich. My husband ordered the brisket slider which had a funny taste, almost bitter, I did not care for it. The chocolate chip cookies were probably the best part of the food we ordered and even those had a funny texture but tasted good. Needless to say, although it was good service we will most likely not be returning. It did look like they may have live music but I do not know what the schedule was for that.

We visited on our way out to Garner State Park. The guy working was super nice. We split a flight of beer. We enjoyed the large selection they had, but didn't enjoy all of the beers we tried. We enjoyed the Mexican lager the most. We also ordered a pizza. It was good but it could have been improved by being a little warmer. We will definitely return if we are in the area.

For starters, the service was polite but very slow with limited servers, the place is very neat and beer drinking welcoming environment . The food could use a little more attention a the chocolate cookies were outstanding.

We have been here a few times and each time has been a mostly great experience! The beers are decent and the pizza is wonderful! Definitely give the Detroit style crust a try. YUM!!! It's so interesting how they haven't finished the interior. Despite this, it's quite a charming place! Although it would do nicely to hide the cluttered storage area upstairs. Maybe some curtains or something? It's a great family-friendly place and has so much potential to grow. The first time we came was around Christmas time and we had the wonderful treat of hearing Anthony Garcia for the first time. WOW! What a talented man! Each time he returns we make sure to book a reservation for a table. We have been three times now - each time to see Anthony Garcia. That leads me to our last visit this past weekend - I saw on Facebook that they were charging a cover now. Only $5.00, no biggie! For talent like Anthony Garcia that is more than reasonable. I called 2 days prior to make a table reservation and was told they would require a $25.00 deposit - also new! It was explained to me that this would go towards the tab - okay, also makes sense! The part I thought was strange is that they wouldn't give me any receipt or email or any sort of written verification that I put down a deposit. I girl I was speaking with told me her manager said that I could check my bank account and that would be my verification. Hmm. Just my two cents - but that was not helpful at all. I'm well aware I can check my bank account. If you are going to charge a deposit - make a plan for some sort of a receipt. Plain and simple. It's a measure of professionalism. Now for the last thing - while I was on the phone with the kind girl that kept asking her manager my questions - I decided to double check if there was really a cover charge for Saturday (since that was a new to me thing I saw on Facebook) the manager got on the phone and said NO there would be no cover charge. Okay cool! Well, this wasn't the case and when we explained this conversation to the lady at the register she unfortunately seemed very annoyed with us. How disappointing!!! I wasn't trying to get out of paying anything at all. I simply had asked all of these questions ahead of time and the staff was giving me conflicting information. I know owning a business must be so hard and stressful but getting everyone on the same page and providing a certain level of customer service is so important. It set the tone of the evening off on an awkward note, but thankfully once Anthony started playing it was a wonderful experience, as always. I recommend giving this place a try! Just be prepared - seems like they are still figuring things out and the staff may not all be on the same page.

Focaccia with olive oil, Belgian brown IPA, West Coast IPA

The focaccia with olive oil was delicious. Beer was excellent. I recommend the Belgian Brown IPA. Service was friendly, but ambience was plain, like a warehouse setting. Also, thank goodness for GPS because the building is not marked at all - not even a sign.

I am but two things: a craft beer enthusiast and an introvert. As counterparts they work perfectly. But when combined together it can be problematic. The irony is that as Covid encourages us to self- isolate I find I am frequenting breweries more readily. Even in a scene that is contingent on our visibility I crave more simpler times. Which brings me to LT Mesquite Brew Co. in the outskirts of Castroville, Texas. Fast forward to an impromptu visit to Dziuk's Meat Market which culminated into a wild goose chase. Firstly it is hidden in the boonies between stretches of highway and taxidermy shops( right across from Robbins Propane Co. to be exact). If not for the sign that said, "Fresh Beer" along side the building the trip would've been fruitless. My first impression is that it is really, really small but has ample parking. It shares its business with an adjoining healthcare service, who happen to be the owners. Whenever I enter a new taproom I am informed by my anxieties. I begin the litany of questions: Will the place be welcoming? Will staff be friendly? Will the product be worth the travel from city to town. Actually thirty seven minutes from San Antonio. But as luck or fate would have it this little taproom was pretty awesome. Solid beers followed by excellent service. Mrs. Cindy, who happens to be the owner and brewer directed me to a dry erase board. On it was a very limited taplist. It comprised of beers simply labeled on tap handles: Stout. W.C. IPA. Brown Belgian IPA. Wheat. Brown Ale. Pilsner. During these precarious times I have experienced places leery of giving samples. Instead I was given healthy samples with an explanation of each. I did try the stout, west coast ipa and the Belgian ipa. While I did enjoy the stout I felt it would benefit from having more body. The west coast ipa was good. But as luck would have it the keg tapped out in the midst of my pour. Before succumbing to hop hyperventilation her tapmaster brought me the Begian ipa. I must say I have had only one before and this one was solid. It wasn't too bitter instead smooth and luscious. I would remiss if I didn't conclude this review with the most important component to any business and that is the personal touch. What I mean by this is the attempt to make a connection to the patron via staff or owners. When a place is not busy this is the most optimal time for this to occur. Whilst drinking my final round I blurted out, " So what made you decide to open this place?" Mrs. Cindy sat down and explained herself. Twenty something years ago in college she dreamed of opening up her own brewery. She added that being a healthcare professional has provided her now with the opportunity to realize it. Her greatest wish is to have her taproom fully renovated with patrons filling up the picnic tables. Since March of 2020 everything has been put on hold to include our dreams and lives. Ever so often a place peeks through the darkest clouds and says maybe things will be alright. To me this is what the LT Mesquite Brew Co. represents. Personable service. Excellent tapmasters. Solid beers. Welcoming place. Charming decor. Country Music playing as the soundtrack music. If you happen to be in idyllic Castroville and want to sample the local flavor give this place a try. They'll leave the lights on for you. ps. I don't know why but I felt like any second Kenny Rogers was going to come in singing, "Lady."

    Indoor area.

Friendly service. Family friendly - rent board games for free. Animal friendly. Ample parking. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Indoor and out. Chickens that enjoy cheesy bread :) Worlds friendliest brewery cat.

Good clean tasting beers, Nice atmosphere, and cool location for some FRESH BEER from LT Mesquite brewery. This brewery is what you get when you cross a great brewer and a passion to share their beer at a low startup. Truly a diamond in the rough. I can't wait to see y'all grow. We will definitely be back.

There's inside and outside seating as well as bar. You enter and they hand you the menus. Despite the red neon order here sign right next to the entrance counter, it's not readily apparent that you do indeed order there. And I noticed it wasn't just us waiting for someone to come take our order as we waited. You seat yourself so unless they tell you directly to order at the counter you could miss it. So when the red neon sign finally clicked in my head, I went over to order. But while I was ordering two more parties came up and asked if they needed to order there. So maybe some more clarity up front outside the sign haha I ordered the Cali burger, my son had a burger, and they had a fajita special that his mom ordered. We also ordered a pretzel. Obviously being a pub they had beers. Non/alcoholic was a limited assorted of coke fair. Only unsweetened tea. No lemonade. Pretzel was soft and delicious. My son's mom loved the fajitas and the beans that came with them. The burgers were also really good. Bread nice and soft. Patties a good thickness. We all enjoyed what we had. No fries though. You get chips for your potato fix. The staff was also very friendly. It wasn't too loud in there and we were able to talk easily. If you're hungry don't pass them by.

Service was prompt, and the ambiance is a funky cross between a bakery and a diner. Parking is easy in their private lot. I first tried their 'Texas Style' pastrami Reuben sandwich.
