Great beer. Great people from staff to patrons. Good times. Live band. Beautiful property. B Daddy's food truck on site. (Their BBQ is legit). All those things - what is not to like. Besides all that they had a marketing day with vendors offering an array of products and sampling their food creations. Great times. Have already recommended to several friends. You definitely need to go check them out. It's worth the drive.

This brewery is on the outskirts of se 1604 and I'm so glad it's here. There isn't much on this side of town as far as places to hangout outdoors. They have a variety of drinks that they serve and food trucks and even market vendors on certain weekends. They also have a playground and live music. This place is dog friendly as well!

I've been here a couple of times. It's a cute little country brewery tucked away in the middle of nowhere in Adkins, TX. Everyone seems nice and friendly including the folks that visit. They have market days once a month and they usually have a couple of food trucks on hand for events. The brewery itself is small. They have an small outdoor stage and usually have live performers during their events. There are picnic tables outside under the trees. If you want to get away from the city and get a taste of the country life, take a drive and check it out.

Father's Day, I took a road less traveled, passed a place featuring Root Beer Floats, Shakes & Mexican Weddings and I eventually arrived at The Cactus Land Brewery. This is an independent brewery open to the public every 1st & 3rd weekend. It's well worth the drive to get here. The Brewery is clean staffed with some of the friendliest people you'll meet. If your not certain what beer to order, they will gladly serve a sample. Food is available at the mobile catering trucks which is where my Melt & Fries came from. There is limited seating inside and plenty of outdoor seating under a huge covered area adjacent a small stage for live music. Check their website for events. The Cactus Land Brewery is Family Friendly, with plenty of parking. Tours of the brewery are also available and do not require a reservation. So, for something different to do on any 1st or 3rd weekend, take a drive to Cactus Land & Brewery. As always, Eat in Good Health.

This on has also been a while, since we've gone there. I always have this brewery on my mind when we head out to Floresville, Texas. It on the way. Great afternoon drive, not too difficult to locate. It is down a lonely road. Off 1604 in Adkins. Plenty of parking, grass parking so just be mindful of the shoes you wear out there. No dog poop, just not a smooth pavement to walk on. Yes, animals are welcomed out there. They had a bbq truck, but we went during lent on a Friday, so everything we order was without meat. We had the corn came with brisket. We ordered the brisket on the side for Saturday. We also ordered the baked potato with the brisket on the side. Those two items were very good. The food truck staff was friendly and helped us out with not eating meat. The brewery itself, has plenty of seating, indoor and out door. With an outdoor area covered for cold and rainy days. They also added another section for private events. Indoor and outdoor. I really like this place for the atmosphere, I love being outside and seeing the sunset. Also love that I can smoke a cigar out there. The beer is pretty good. I tried quite a few and couldn't decide on a favorite. Well, the root beer is my favorite out there.

Cactus Land is a true gem. Located on the outskirts of San Antonio, this brewery has a special place in my heart. I sold the property to the owners and have the joy of watching them grow over the years. Their ability to brew unique and innovative flavors is truly refreshing. Dark and sweet Stouts like"Snooze Button" , for example will have you coming back for more. Come on out to La Vernia and enjoy the live music and relax on the patio with your friends. Cactus Land is worth the drive!

This brewery and its location are definitely worth the drive- Upon arrival you will notice the expanse of space for customers, friends and their families (yes, pets are welcomed but must be leashed at all times) Sit under the gorgeous and oak tree while sipping one of the top tier beer varietals. Staff is friendly and efficient-don't know what to drink, ask for a sample. Uber nice folks! No on-site food but if you're lucky enough, they have a food truck partnership with "Hijo-Suu" which serves some of the best homemade burgers (messy and delicious) and carne asada We will be back!!!! This is excellent an choice to spend and outing outside.. there's a huge collection of mature oak trees that provide awesome shade from the sun and there is also breeze of air that keeps y'all cool while enjoying their craft brews.. They also have a covered patio with a few TV's for games and they have live music and area to dance. Also, if you have little ones there a playground for them too.. Plus they have a BBQ truck on site that does not disappoint..

Stopped by via a recommendation of a local friend. This place prides itself on being in the middle of nowhere. As soon as I walked in staff immediately welcomed me into the place and they immediately started giving me a run down of all that they had to offer. I ordered a flight and I'd say 4 out of 5 beers were very good. I believe they had 12+ beers on tap that are brewed in house. Very good selection. Large German style selection and all were very good. Their barrel aged beer was very good as well. Overall atmosphere, establishment, service and beers were great.

We went there because teachers were offered a free glass during spring break. Their beer is fun to order with the different names of their beers. The brewery has a stage, a playground, clean restrooms and covered areas for seating. It is down a beaten path, but worth the drive wherever you may be coming from. A nice gathering spot. I don't recall if they have their own food, but there was a food truck on the premises. Their growlers look VERY cute.

I get it. Lots of options. You are sitting in your comfortable house in San Antonio, or New Braunfels... browsing breweries. There are many closer to you than Cactus Land. You could opt for the 15 min drive.....sure. But, can I implore you to take the 35 min drive? Yes, the hours are weird...but you are smart. Check the website, you can figure it out. 1st and 3rd weekends of the month, Fri/Sat/Sun. Open the calendar app, make an appointment for yourself! With great risk comes great reward. CL is awesome! The beer is amazing, but the vibes are even better. If they are open, there will be food options. Awesome swag. The staff feels like family. No reason not to go! Drink local!

Cactus Land has been on our radar for a while but it seemed like every Time we tried to go they weren't open. Be sure to check their website before making the trek out here! I think they're usually open two weekends a month. It took us a good 45-50 minutes to get here from far west San Antonio. However! This place is awesome and you can make a day out of it and also hit up seersucker (gin/vodka) while you're in the area. They offer beer flights and different sizes of each beer and have a good variety of beers. Our favorites were the Lucas and sienna ale. The staff was super friendly. The inside area is small with only a couple of tables. Outside area is covered and has fans. There is a large yard area and games. They have a stage for live music for the evenings. Great beer and a nice location once you get there!

This is such a unique brewery that is off the beaten path but well worth the drive. There is ample dirt parking and plenty of outdoor seating. There is a covered patio but limited seating. You'll also find a small 21+ seating area. Come with your friends or bring your whole family as they have a huge play area for the kids and ample space for them to roam around. They also have games for adults such as washers & corn hole. The entire venue is clean and well maintained. In lieu of Covid masks are required indoors when ordering your beer, and they have hand sanitizer stations setup throughout. My beverages of choice were the Reese's Stout and Hobanero. The Reese wasn't very peanut buttery but it was still a nice light smooth stout. The Hobanero was fun with an IPA touch and not as hot/spicy as I anticipated it to be. You also have the option to have it dressed and I highly recommend it. Besides beer they have wine and soft drinks available as well as light snacks. You can bring in outside food but they do have a food truck on-site. Check their website for information on live music and what food trucks will be there for your visit. If you're visiting or live in the San Antonio area I highly recommend adding this brewery on your places to visit. Especially while the weather is so nice!

Service was prompt, and the ambiance is a funky cross between a bakery and a diner. Parking is easy in their private lot. I first tried their 'Texas Style' pastrami Reuben sandwich. This is smoked pastrami brisket, served with on their house-made marbled rye and topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. Quite a bit different than a NYC-style sandwich. The aioli instead of dressing, thicker slices, etc etc. But wow, did it taste good. It's as if a pastrami Reuben and a sliced smoked brisket sandwich had a love child who inherited the best from each parent. I also tried their salmon gravlax on an 'everything' bagel. This bagel was baked in-house, topped with the cured salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, and a sprig of dill. Rustic, beautiful, and delicious. Definite recommend!
