Dope spot on the Southside to kick it with friends out on the patio or inside. They have a large dance area, plenty of tables, and possibly the best food any bar is putting out in the city! I have come to love their wings, all sauces, and their Steak Dinner! Also really enjoyed their Fried Pickles this last time. Prices are great and portions are large, score! Overall great spot for a fun night in San Antonio. Highly recommend! Follow me on Instagram at @AngelFoodDude for more!

It was the last day of Burger Week, so we checked the SA Current for recommendations. This dive bar has a food counter on the side, and there are burgers from basic to fancy (fried egg? avocado? peanut butter?) We went basic this time. It was nice and juicy.

Laid back bar with a full kitchen. The food l tried was fries and chicken strips, which are great when you're having a drink. The bartenders are all friendly and attentive. They have a podcast set up for rent and there's karaoke on Tuesdays. It seems like they have a lot of events they host. There's plenty of seating at the bar, inside, and picnic tables outside on the patio. Inside also has a large projector screen for when games are on.

Do not use a credit card to start a tab bartenders do not accurately keep track of what you've had to drink. When you go to get your tablet in the night you get excessive drink charges.

Thought Thinkers and Drinkers was doing trivia here tonight, but, it turned out their do210 post hadn't been updated. We loved the vibe, the diversity of patrons and the tunes. Bartender and grill folks were cool. Had the peanut butter burger arhat can highly recommended. It was cooked well but a bit more plain than I expected. Definitely a decent burger overall. Overall, loved it and will be back

Cool bar! Divey and fun atmosphere. Every employee I interacted with was amazing. Such a sweet staff!! I actually came for a speed dating event with some girl friends and we had a BLAST. It was the first time they've hosted it, but they said they're going to start doing it more. We had a lot of fun! Liz did a great job facilitating. They had fun on-theme drinks too like the French Kiss (French 75). Would love to go to more events here! They have a good happy hour and kitchen too. This place definitely exceeded my expectations!

Southtown 101 Fiesta menu is the BOMB! I don't know about you, but these last few days I was having some major Fiesta chicken-on-a-stick cravings. Just knowing that this time last year I was having a blast at Fiesta, made me want it even more and couldn't wait until November. That is why, the esposo and I decided to check out Southtown 101 temporarily Fiesta menu. I first tried to put my order over the phone and NADA. Then tried to do it over Grubhub and again, NADA. I then decided to send them an Instagram message and that is when I learned that they are only taking drive thru orders. They've disconnected their phones because they've been getting slammed with orders (great for them!). The drive thru line was a little long, but definitely worth the wait. Their chicken-on-a-stick are a little bit more expensive that at other restaurants, but they are pretty large. The seasoning on the chicken was PERFECTION! The chicken was juicy, flavourful and definitely better than the ones you get at NIOSA. Frankly, I was really disappointed at myself for not ordering more chickens to take home. Anyhow! I will definitely be coming back for more of their delicious chicken-on-a-stick. By the way, they are also selling turkey legs and corn in a cup. Both sell out really quickly so make sure to get here early, and be ready to wait around 15-20 minutes.

Came here last Sunday for brunch and it was a disaster. They don't open at 10 am like it says on their website, an older lady outside doing maintenance stated they open at noon but it wasn't until 12:15 pm that someone actually unlocked the doors. When we finally got in, we found out that none of the menu prices were still accurate either, a $10 champagne bucket is now $13. I can understand inflation but it was very annoying that their website is basically trash since that's what attracted us to begin with. The inside smelled like urinals and I was very concerned that the same ice they use for bar drinks goes into the champagne buckets because the ice was BROWN. I can't lie about this, check out the picture. The only positive things I can say was that their DJ was spinning great 90s hits and they had a nice outdoor seating area. Definitely won't be returning.

They have Happy Hour on Saturdays which is pretty cool, and in the kitchen area they have TVs which was a perfect way to catch the Spurs Game.

I'm visiting from out of town and I wasn't sure where to go to watch a boxing match. Thank goodness I came across Bar three twenty one! Plenty of seating and lucky for me it was not a busy night. Plenty of TV's including a huge (maybe 75 inch) in the middle. Not a bad seat in the entire bar. They have a full bar, my drunk was just ok, BUT I probably should have stuck with something more basic (I had a Henny sour). Definitely a good spot with a few arcades and a pool table. Check it out!

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)

Typically when you sit down at the yard house bar, the bartenders usually clean off the bar with a wet towel and remove the sticky beer/food from the previous patrons and then put down the place settings and black napkin settings. None of that happened. They also always card everyone in the party, I didn't see them card anyone in the bar this night. While there were plenty of staff (in different color shirts - white, black and grey) behind the bar not one person said hello, welcomed anyone on our side of the bar or made eye contact. They were more focused on cleaning the glasses than taking our order. It was just odd. Getting past that, I enjoyed the local cider selection (kiwi strawberry) and my husband enjoyed the Belgium golden ale house beer). Food was great as well we enjoyed the boneless wings Korean style, Miguel's queso and ahi sashimi. Delicious. I also enjoyed the music videos playing on one of the tvs that was so fun. Bathrooms were clean but both needed work. In the women's, I noticed the vacant/occupied switches were not in working order as some of the signs said occupied but they were not; and the ones that said vacant were occupied. My husband noticed that there was no soap or towels in the men's bathroom. It's the little things. Even if you are crowded you should be staffed well enough to take care of these things.

My first and LAST experience at McFly's left a lot to be desired. There was very little seating available during the NBA finals, which I guess is to be expected, but when I did find seating, a very rude Mexican girl slid onto the seat next to me and attempted to make more rooms for her friends to sit down. When my friend came in, we decided to move to another table to avoid any issues. Shortly after this, a Mexican male came over and purposely blocked our view of the game, and when my friend POLITELY asked if he could move over some, she was told that it was her problem that she couldn't see the television. RUDE, MUCH? Then, another male came over and inserted himself into the discussion. A 'security guard' came over and attempted to 'quiet' things, but he was clearly taking the male's side on this issue. The 'security guard' proceeded to tell me that he was told that the Black female was the aggressor. WOWWW!!! WHY do Black people have to be the aggressors in situations??? These two Mexican males were clearly with the group from earlier, and decided to disrupt the time we were trying to spend watching the game. This is one of the WORST establishments I've ever experienced, EVER. If you're a Black person living in or visiting San Antonio, stay FAR away from McFly's!!!
