You can choose to do white garlic or black garlic for an extra $1 in their ramen. Everything on their menu is about $5-20. We had a party of 7, and got a private booth. Customer service was great. We told the waiter that I had a dairy allergy and asked him if the dish had any dairy. He went to check, and said no, just egg and oil. Slathered in sauce, my partner and I ate the omurice, which was admittedly quite good. I immediately started feeling nauseous. My boyfriend tasted the rice again, without the sauce, and could taste butter. We asked the staff once again. Is there dairy? They said, no. But there's butter. Yeah, I said. Butter is dairy. I'm going to throw up for the rest of the day. And it's my boyfriends birthday weekend. We have plans later-- unbelievable. They gave us half off the meal, but considering some rice and egg was like 22 dollars and a bottle of soju would have been 24 bucks (costs 6.99 at the grocery store, mind you), I would say not worth the drive out there nor my impending illness. First time at Kyuramen in Eagan. We arrived on a Saturday night right as the dinner rush started. We were offered immediate seating at the bar, but our party was several people who hadn't seen each other in awhile and we needed a table. We registered at the Yelp kiosk in the front and they had a table in 5-10 minutes. There were no chairs to sit while we waited, hopefully there might be a few chairs in the future. Some of us had looked at the menu and we knew what we wanted to order. Our friends needed a bit more time. As a table we ordered the following: Amazing Lemonade - better lemonade than the Minnesota State Fair. Sweet yet tart, with cucumber infused for a refreshing unique taste. Taro Milk Tea - Perfectly sweet Taro. It was ordered without boba; haven't tried the tapioca pearls here. All of the beverages look tasty. Popcorn Chicken - excellent, tasty bite size chicken. A bit dry without sauce. Needs a dipping sauce. Vegetable Spring Rolls - best I've had in years. Crisp on the outside, perfect blend of vegetables on the inside. Great Value. Perfect for sharing with others. Gyoza Dumplings - Pork dumplings cooked just right. Sauce on the side is a soy dipping glaze. Delicious. Most of the appetizers sometimes come with the same lightly spicy mayo. It was good but that's all for sauces? I might look for other sauces maybe you can purchase. Pork Bun - Pork Belly sandwich. Pork Belly was fine, nice sauce. It was good! Shrimp Tempura - Shrimp Tempura was the best I've had in town in many years. The shrimp had a delicate sweetness, and the tempura batter was fried just right. It had just a subtle touch of softness inside the shrimp tempura batter. Ramen - one of the people in our party had ramen. When asked if he wanted it spicy he said yes. It ended up being a little too spicy for him. If you don't like things spicy it will still be tasty without being "spicy"! I would say he liked medium spice. It was probably spicy as you would expect. Broth was very satisfying. I will say that it seems like all the ramen seems the same, just different protein. Omurice - Two of us ordered the Omurice Meal which included Amazing Lemonade. There was a pork option listed on the menu but they did not have it. We ordered the Chicken cutlet Omurice instead, and we were quite surprised. The omelet was cooked to absolute Omurice perfection. Curry sauce was spiced as I had hoped. Fried rice was very satisfying. Really enjoyed it. In a town full of ramen shops, the Omurice is what makes Kyuramen unique in the area. We ate so much we didn't have room for dessert. Next time! Just one little tip for the restaurant - we didn't have any dinner napkins. 4 cocktail napkins wasn't enough. Takoyaki will always be one of the appetizers people have to try aside from karaage. I've been here twice now and both experiences have been very good. This is an upscale chain style restaurant with a twist on authentic flavors. There some inconsistencies with cooking but nothing that overshadows the flavors. Service is quick during medium to low traffic.
