Ooooooh! Where has this place been all my life? The meats were cooked to perfection. Our standout dishes were the grilled lamb leg and garlic eggplant. The flavor profile across the dishes we ordered was mild and subtly seasoned, which I personally really appreciated. Also loved that it's halal and uses no MSG. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again!

4.5/5 stars! Such a unique cuisine you can't really find in the bay, and so glad I got to try! Central Asian cuisine with influences of Greek and Persian. Big Plate Chicken 9.5/10 Omg this portion was way bigger than I expected! Comes with chicken cooked similar to Chinese style, and it's so juicy and tender. It also comes with flat noodles at the bottom, and this was so good when soaking up all the chicken sauce. Plate looks small online but don't get that twisted it's a good plate to share with 2/3 people! Golden Crispy Roasted Lamb Rib 10/10 ya this was sooo delicious, we got some naan on the side to make a perfect bite with the lamb + sauce and omg that was so delectable. Their house chili oil was crispy and spicy, really paired well with their lamb Passion Fruit Yogurt Beverage 8/10 this was a good contrast to the richer foods we were eating, you could taste that punch of passion fruit and the yogurt was a bit sour and tangy like Vietnamese yogurt Overall, portions were good for the price and the cuisine was super unique as I've never had Uyghur fusion food! If you want to be adventurous and try different foods, definitely come check this restaurant out!

I really enjoyed my meal here. All the meats were so tender and delicious, with a lot of flavor. My favorite was a lamb tripe noodle dish - I don't think Ive ever had lamb tripe before this meal! The portions are not gigantic, but also not small. I left feeling satisfied but not super full.

Delicioso all around! Really enjoyed the cumin lamb noodles which was spicy and sweet (fav flavor combo ;) and the beef ribs because they were so tender/fall off the bone and that white yogurt sauce was delicious. Also got the samsa since it seems everyone gets it, and for good reason. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and tasty :))

Everything was incredibly moist and flavorful. The big plate had a nice kick--spicy enough to be interesting, but not so much that it made me tear up. The pilaf was my favorite part, and I'll definitely keep coming back just for that. The samosa meat was also very moist and well-seasoned. The vibe is busy, but still quiet enough that I could comfortably hear the people around me without having to raise my voice. And the yogurt drink? Sooooo good--perfectly balanced and really tied the whole meal together.

Good restaurant. Pretty clean. Very spic for most. Like a jalapeno worth of spice. I wish they took the bone out of the big plate chicken. Or have chicken with bigger bones. Good flavors on the noodles and rice. The braised beef is fairly flavorless. It kind of tasted like pho meat, which isn't what I was going for. The spices on the table are honestly less spicy than the food itself. Service is bleh. Could be better. Kind of have to flag people down.

The ambiance in here is very nice and chilled, perfect for a relaxed dinner time. We ordered the chicken wraps and chicken plate. The chicken plate we ordered was really good. I'm so exited to discover this Uyghur restaurant! Everything tasted great and our waiter Noe was super friendly and helpful. If you love XinJiang food this is a must try. Fantastic spot for authentic cuisine. Love the flavors and spices! When they say Big Plate Chicken, they mean it, and it is so good. The lamb skewers are legit too! Very quiet and serene spot for a dinner, nice and quiet. Service also very attentive! Absolutely making this a staple for my meal rotation!

My first time trying this place and it was delicious! My friend and I shared a salad and the lamb shank. The salad was refreshing. The fried rice was so good and the lamb was so tender! We loved everything. I would definitely come back when I am in town to try another dish!

The big plate chicken was REALLY good and the regular (smaller) portion was extremely filling. Great portions of both the chicken and the noodles, so I don't think you need the extra noodles. But I had this dish on my own, maybe if you're ordering it to share you could add the extra noodles. The chicken is really well cooked! It does take some time to come out (we had to wait around 20 minutes). We had also ordered the chicken skewer to share and it was nicely spiced (cumin based spice, as you see in Chinese bbq generally). One thing I'd say is that the dishes were quite oily, including the sliced beef with sauce as you see in the pictures. The big plate chicken also had a lot of oil in the soup. In hindsight, I'd probably mention less oil before ordering next time.

Overall, it's 4.5 for me. Ambiance is good, service is relatively fast, and food is pretty good so far. We ordered samsa, smashed eggplant, beef cumin chao-mian, and amine yogurt. - Samsa was really good, the lamb didn't smell at all but it was on the smaller portion size for the price. - Beef cumin chao-mian was really good, the noodles were handmade and very chewy! - Smashed eggplant could be better as it has no taste. - Amine yogurt was pretty good for what it was but I wouldn't order it again as it wasn't that special for me. I guess Bay Area is a very competitive market, their food will be rated much higher if in any other city, unfortunately, in Bay Area, many places offering the same dish, so that food and price are okay, not as surprise as I thought. I liked to try new places, it is 4-4.5 range for this new place, but I definitely will have more preferred places to visit considering either the price or the flavor when comes to the similar dish. Their decor is very fancy. They were very busy when I ate here. Based on the menu, their speciality is lamb. I ordered a couple appetizers, and the chicken entree. The good thing is the flavor is there. The bad things are: 1. Dumplings were barely warm when delivered to the table. A few dumpling wraps were damaged and cold, like they were from frozen. Costs $15.95, which is very pricey. 2. Lamb kabobs: The lamb meat size is very small, with pretty much 10 small bite-sized pieces costing $9.95. Very pricey. 3. Samsa: 2 pieces for $7.95. The size is smaller than my palm and contains a very small amount of meat. Again, very pricey. 4. Lamb Cumin Chao-mian: Extremely salty. None of the dishes are good. Service was somewhat on point, when needed the server would appear but would of been better without the chatter . I speak many languages i was able to tell it was not work related . The drinks were good not as sweet but nothing special, any kid could replicate at home. The chicken noodle dish was my favorite, the cook followed the pre recipe correct and somewhat got the flavors to blend yet the rack Of lamb was 10/2 ratio 10 being the fat, I couldn't eat it and took it to my dogs instead . Honorable mentions, dumplings and soup ok, need to cut the fat a little, store owner buy real meat stop being cheap. read more

First time here, and didn't know what to expect. We ordered the Big Plate Chicken (with noodles), and it was yummy. The Golden Crispy Roasted lamb ribs was also good. It was flavorful enough in its own, but the 3 dipping sauces that came with it were all interesting as well. We also noted that noodles were hand-made fresh at the restaurant. Extremely Slow Service, One Dish Took an Hour The food was mostly okay -- the lamb dishes were solid, and the flavors were about what we expected. The beef salad, though, was a total miss. The beef was dry, overcooked, and hard to chew. But the real problem here is the service, or really, the lack of it. Dishes came out painfully slow, and we waited a full hour for our last dish, the Lamb Cumin Chaomian. That's not an exaggeration -- we were just sitting there, waiting. When we finally asked the server, her attitude was dismissive and borderline rude. No apology, no explanation. I get that places can be understaffed or busy, but at least acknowledge the delay. This just felt like they didn't care. Definitely not coming back. read more

I came here because I saw a lot of high ratings online and many people seemed to love this place. But honestly, I was pretty disappointed. I tried the hand-pulled lamb, the big plate chicken, and the cured meat. The food was okay -- not terrible, but nothing special either. Just very average, definitely not as good as the reviews made it sound. The service was also so-so. The staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, more like "here's your food, that's it."
