It was my first time trying this kind of cuisine and I was pleasantly impressed! We ordered the beef Wellington lamb shank and the big chicken plate with the handpulled noodles. Love how flavorful these dishes are, jam packed with spices. The lamb was delicious and not gamey. Ambience is nice and all the staff are very kind and welcoming. 10/10 experience at Kusan. Me and my girlfriend have been to Kusan a few times and we are finally leaving a review. The food is consistently top notch, the service is fantastic, and the place is beautiful. We love their golden utensils and their designed cups. You cannot skip out on the Golden Crispy Lamb Ribs. I'm not a fan of lamb but their lamb is so tender while having a beautiful crispy skin. I get this every time. I'm also in love with their hand pulled noodles. You cannot go wrong with any of their noodle dishes. The texture has just the right amount of chew and it picks up the sauce well. I was helped by Noe today and he was so kind and helpful. He was able to answer any of my questions about allergies and he took very great care of our table. read more

Tried Uyghur cuisine for the first time at Kushan Bazaar today. We got the Samsa, braised beef pilaf, and the big plate chicken with flat noodles. My favorite part was the pilaf which was very aromatic and had a natural sweetness from the carrots and raisins. The beef itself was rather bland but it was very tender. The salad that came with it was very refreshing. The Samsa was filled with lamb. It was moist on the inside and flaky on the outside. I kind of wished there was a dipping sauce on the side though. They were very generous with the chicken (there was way more chicken than noodles). The noodles itself had a good texture a little chewy which is how I like it. The sauce was a bit oily and had a bit of a kick. Couldn't even finish the regular size. Also Minh was a great server very friendly and attentive. Would come back to try their other lamb dishes. read more

I've never had a Uyghur food before. I was pleasantly surprised with the complexity and deep flavor that came with each dish. My favorite was the chicken big plate. It was mildly spicy, but not too spicy, but the chicken was so tender. I also recommend the lamb shank with non-. Also extremely tender, and the meat fell off the bone. Saw this restaurant on social media (can't remember where!) but have had it booked marked on Yelp. Was in the area with the family and decided not to sit in traffic so stopped in. We were immediately greeted and seated. Decor is modern, simple and clean; IMO really nice for the area. We ordered through toast tab and the first dish came out within minutes and was surprisingly the lamb Wellington (which for some reason I thought would take the longest) and the last dish to arrive was the lamb dumplings in tomato soup. While the dumplings were a tad late, the temperature was super hot and satisfying. Mango sticky rice dessert however comprised of a mango syrup so disappointed the kids. We enjoyed our meal and hope people come to enjoy this cuisine. read more

I've come here twice already and have noticed there is a bit of inconsistency. I ordered lamb chow mian both times and enjoyed it a lot the first time. Came in for a late lunch. Food was good but service a bit slow despite the restaurant not being that busy Samsa - Very good. Frgeant and savory Tomato soup with wontons - tasty but kind of pricey for what it was Big plate Chicken - Well seasoned. Good amount of chicken. You can see them pulling noodles in the chicken and the quality shows in the bouncy noodles in this dish. My only complaint is they smash some of the chicken bone when they cut it so there were little bone fragments in the noodles. My partner thought it was spicier than expected. There was some lettuce instead, but lettuce is a poor substitute as it just becomes immediately soggy and adds no flavor. If you've ever had falafel in Israel, you will be disappointed by the falafel here, unfortunately. (Israeli falafel shops each make at least a dozen toppings from family recipes, so you put as many veggies and sauces in as you can to create a flavor party in your mouth.)
