First time trying Uygher food won't be my last. Came in a big group so tried lots of things. My favorites were the pulled noodles in tomato sauce (Laghman) -- based on past Yelper photos, I thought it might be bland for my taste, but it was actually lovely and nuanced (and those noodles have perfect chew). The lamb kabobs and samsa were a big hit. I personally loved the eggplant too. I know we tried other things, all of which were good, but these dishes left the strongest impression. Very unique gamey, cumin-y, creamy, sour and mild spicy cusine while still very approachable! We come to this area very often but never tried this one. Inside is black white modern, and qr code menu though they have paper too. Their noodles are delicious: chewy, super long, and hand pulled. Laghman (yummy veggies, can be vegan) and big plate chicken (a sorta soupy dish) all were great noodle dishes, don't forget to get some extra noodles! Try out their lamb too, whole restaurant smells like it. We got the wellington, very meaty and fall off the bone, though I think just the normal braised would be good too. Lamb kabobs and small dishes were ok. And dessert we got the pressed yogurt, which was interesting, loved the addition of the rose petals. Loses a star for weird timing. Each dish came slowly one by one: appetizer, entree, appetizer (why after an entree?), entree, kabob, entree, drinks came last??? It was alright since we shared everything but it was awkward. We saw thru the window that kitchen was small and workers often bumped into each other, maybe that's why. Also napkins weren't very clean. I come quite frequently and can confidently say that they are consistent with the quality of their food. I am absolutely in love with their hand pulled noodles. Kusan Bazaar has a nice modern interior and the food is seriously good. I tried the eggplant with minced garlic and the tomato soup with mini wontons, and both were fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying, definitely recommend trying these out. Service was quick and friendly, there is also an option to make a reservation before hand. Perfect for a casual lunch or dinner, it does get crowded during rush hours, this is also applicable to the parking in the lot outside. Prices are fair, portions are solid, and the quality is great. read more

It was my first time trying this kind of cuisine and I was pleasantly impressed! We ordered the beef Wellington lamb shank and the big chicken plate with the handpulled noodles. Decent food here, liked the flavors overall, just lacked in execution. Service is ok, they only had one server and another guy very "in and out", I went on a fully booked day and service was extremely slow, maybe they were understaffed that day but if not they definitely need more servers. The samsa was tasty, however not evenly crispy, also the bottom of the pastry was extremely soggy causing it to fall apart...they should use a wire rack to rest to avoid this, made some myself the next day and this works. The Laghman noodles had nice flavors, except it was cold in several spots, and lukewarm at best in other spots. Super disappointed in this, was not given the impression that I was served something fresh as they claim. The braised lamb ribs were nice and tender, not particularly flavorful by themselves and rely heavily on the dips which complement them very well. The mutton soup was really nice, really enjoyed the earthy flavors. Overall this place has a lot of potential, tastes are there, but my experience was extremely underwhelming, based on my particular set of dishes. 7/10 read more

Saw this restaurant on social media (can't remember where!) but have had it booked marked on Yelp. Was in the area with the family and decided not to sit in traffic so stopped in. We were immediately greeted and seated. Decor is modern, simple and clean; IMO really nice for the area. We ordered through toast tab and the first dish came out within minutes and was surprisingly the lamb Wellington (which for some reason I thought would take the longest) and the last dish to arrive was the lamb dumplings in tomato soup. While the dumplings were a tad late, the temperature was super hot and satisfying. Mango sticky rice dessert however comprised of a mango syrup so disappointed the kids. I really liked the white/black interior of the restaurant, it was super clean and modern. We got the Naan, Samsas, and Golden Crispy Lamb Ribs to share. Naan was nothing crazy. Samsas were pretty good, I liked the filling inside, but the dough was a bit dense. My favorite were the ribs! They were so tender and literally falling off the bone I had to eat them with a fork and knife. The meat was very dry, tough, and had a texture similar to jerky, which made it difficult to enjoy. When we mentioned this to the staff, we were told that the food was pre-cooked and that this was simply how it was served. I understand that some dishes may be prepared in advance, but I believe there should still be attention to maintaining the proper texture, moisture, and quality before serving. My father ordered the Lechon sticky rice. The pork was reasonably okay, but unfortunately, the rice was extremely hard and difficult to eat. I hope the restaurant will take this feedback seriously, particularly regarding the preparation and holding of pre-cooked food. Freshness, texture, and flavor make a significant difference in the overall dining experience. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the quality of the food made our overall experience disappointing. If you're looking for a unique and memorable dining experience, Kusan Bazaar is the place to be! This cozy gem offers Uyghur cuisine with a delightful mix of Central Asian flavors. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm, fine-dining vibe with relaxing music that sets the perfect tone for an enjoyable meal. The menu is packed with standout dishes, and every bite tells a story. I highly recommend the Wellington-Style Lamb Shank, which is as tender as it is flavorful. The Slow Roasted Beef Rib and Lamb Ribs are perfectly cooked and delicious. If you're a fan of kebabs, the Lamb Kebab is a must-try! Don't forget to order the Big Plate Chicken or one of their amazing noodle soups for a hearty and satisfying experience. Service at Kusan Bazaar is excellent. The staff is patient and friendly, and while dishes like the barbecue items can take a bit longer during busy hours (20-30 minutes), the wait is well worth it. The restaurant is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking, though it can get busy during dinner hours. Luckily, finding parking is still manageable, and the restaurant's large, clear signage makes it easy to spot. One of the most unique features of this place is the view of the kitchen through their big windows. It's fascinating to watch the chefs at work while enjoying your meal. It definitely adds a special touch to the dining experience. For the quality of food and ambiance, the prices here are very reasonable. Most main courses are between $18 to $25, and dishes like the beef ribs and lamb ribs, which would cost much more at high-end restaurants. They also run occasional promotions--this week, the Wellington-Style Lamb Shank was only $9.99 (normally $29)! Overall, Kusan Bazaar is a true hidden treasure. I've been to Kusan's San Jose location twice, and now their Milpitas spot is even closer to home! The ambiance is more upscale, and the food remains top-notch. Their hand-pulled noodles are fresh and delicious, and they even offer a whole roasted lamb ($488) for special occasions. Must-try dishes: * Grilled Lamb Ribs - Crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. The bones are perfectly roasted! * Lamb Skewers - Hard to find skewers with such juicy lamb fat. Don't forget to remove the sharp tips! * Beef Rib Noodles - Freshly hand-pulled, with a rich broth and huge beef ribs. Extremely Slow Service, One Dish Took an Hour The food was mostly okay -- the lamb dishes were solid, and the flavors were about what we expected. The beef salad, though, was a total miss. The beef was dry, overcooked, and hard to chew. But the real problem here is the service, or really, the lack of it. Dishes came out painfully slow, and we waited a full hour for our last dish, the Lamb Cumin Chaomian. That's not an exaggeration -- we were just sitting there, waiting. When we finally asked the server, her attitude was dismissive and borderline rude. No apology, no explanation. I get that places can be understaffed or busy, but at least acknowledge the delay. I came here because I saw a lot of high ratings online and many people seemed to love this place. But honestly, I was pretty disappointed. I tried the hand-pulled lamb, the big plate chicken, and the cured meat. The food was okay -- not terrible, but nothing special either. Just very average, definitely not as good as the reviews made it sound. The service was also so-so. The staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, more like "here's your food, that's it." Open 7 days a week - 11am to 9pm or 9:30pm. Clean bathrooms. Well, they are NOT signing the log; see pictures. Service - Counter service. Self service - Drinks, napkins, and sauces. We have to walk back up to counter for more utensils. Bus your own tables, etc. Price - $261 + tip; our generous friends paid!!! Thank you! Averaged $30 per person which was not bad for what we got. Because of its location in NW China, Uyghur cuisine is a natural fusion of Chinese, multiple "Stans" (e.g., Pakistan, Kazakhstan, etc.), and is predominantly Muslim in population. The food is 100% authentic, as the proprietor, Lei Han, is a third-generation chef from the Ili region. Their food has already captured the attention of Bay Area food critics and was featured by SF Eater and recently included in the local PBS Station's 2026 "What to Eat in the Bay Area"** list for the South Bay. The Good: * All meats are 100% Halal (حلال) * Large shared parking lot * Order via QR code * Friendly service * Very reasonable prices and giant portions. Even we had leftovers! :8) * Pan-fried Lamb and Onion Dumplings were a bit underseasoned for my liking, but the flavor and texture were delicious. * Stir-Fried Noodles was another winner, with delicious noodles and tender chicken. Read this if you like lamb!…read more A variety of lamb dishes, which is their specialty. My favorite is their Cumin Lamb with Naan, smells great even from a few feet away. The bite size naan is crunchy but can be too greasy for some people cos it soaks up some of that lamb or chili oil from the meat. The next one is Spicy Lamb Ribs, lamb ribs with enough fat is always yummy, and the spices dried chili onions all make it savory and flavorful. The last recommendation is the healthiest option, plenty of lean protein and not as greasy as the other two mentioned, is their Lamb Leg Polo, came with some really delicious rice with carrots and spices in it, perfect meal after working out.
