FINALLY a bubble tea place in our town! I used to travel all the way to Edison just to get Kung Fu Tea, they had a soft opening and I tried the Passion Fruit Green Tea. It was really really good, the tapioca pearls tasted like gummy bears. They were super sweet and it tasted great with the fruity drink I had. Only downside is that you have to pay an extra 50 cents for the boba pearls and the medium is already $3.50. You would think that since its bubble tea it already comes with it but nope :/ But I have high hopes for them and I'll definitely be coming often! read more

The tea is always great but the service is absolute trash. Tried to order ahead on the app while en route and was notified that the Union location wasn't accepting orders. I then tried to call to be sure they were open, and the line wasn't in service. I get there and not only were they open but the music was obnoxiously loud to the point where they probably wouldn't have heard the phone if it was in service. Eh- stay away from this Kung Fu Tea location. It seems as they do not have the same standards as typical franchise locations. The employees are not motivated and that is why I am giving this place two stars. Visited here on a slow afternoon and immediately noticed that the man at the counter was not sober. The way he was talking to us, it seemed as he had no interest of being there and I did not understand what he was saying either. On top of that, he was rude to us when asking for a recommendation. The cashier was not knowledgable on any of the menu items! The other employee who was making the tea, was wearing headphones and could not hear us. No one says thank you, or any gesture of appreciation when ordering or departing. The tea did not taste bad but I feel like there was too much topping in mine and too much ice in the other. On top of that, it took about 10 minutes to get our tea. Even though our teas were ready and made, they were just sitting there while the employee started to make other orders. This location also has a $10 minimum on credit cards (I have not seen this at other locations before). Lots of room for improvement if they hire some motivating staff who know the products they sell. I was waiting to pick up my bon chon order which is right next door for a party I was attending that night and I decided to get Kung Fu Tea while I waited. At the time I went, there weren't many customers and a good amount of employees were working. What annoyed me a bit was how long I waited to get my drinks and also how other customers that ordered way after me got their drinks before I did. I am starting to see poor reviews and I did not think that I would have to add mine as I have been a loyal customer for 3 years now, but today I was definitely discriminated against. So here it goes: Around 2:30pm today, my girlfriend bought a medium Taro milk tea and a Large Oolong Wow Milk Cap for myself. I told the worker that I wanted to try something new and that I always get a Taro or Honey Oolong milk tea. I decided to go with the oolong milk cap only to come back 10 minutes later because the drink had absolutely no flavor to it. I asked the worker for a different drink as I did not like the one that I purchased and that it was not sweet at all. She told me, "The drink is not supposed to be sweet. I cannot give you another drink because you have to pay for a cup." Whatever that meant. (Mind you, the manager was present and I know he was the manager because he stated it to a customer at one of my previous visits.) I responded to the worker saying that any restaurant would offer another drink or meal if the customer did not like it. She states, "At another restaurant, not this one." I did not have time for the attitude and I did not put up a fight with it, but I asked one question: "I paid for a large drink, can I just receive a medium instead?" She states, "We cannot do that because YOU chose the drink." I was not about to buy another drink and I did not ask for my money back. Also, the manager stood there pretending to be busy and did not interfere. THIS WAS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR MANAGEMENT. My thing is, I literally came back to the shop not even 10 minutes after with my drink barely sipped out of because the drink tasted awful! It literally tasted like a plain black tea with something frothy on top. NO FLAVOR. My girlfriend's drink was also way too sweet. I just find it crazy how this was my first time trying this drink so how would I have known if the worker made my drink properly or not? Get this: I definitely would have had to buy another drink even if that was not the drink that I ordered. That is crazy. She, as well as the manager, did not offer me a refund or a different drink. Not only that, but when she took my order where I stated I wanted to try something new, she failed to mention that the drink was sugarless. Also, the menu did not state that the drink was sugar-free. Here is the CHERRY ON TOP: I have two witnesses that walked in at this time who so happened to be my friends. When I left, they stated that the worker spoke to the manager in a different language and laughed. The one word that my friends heard in English was "medium". The lady who was working and her boss knew exactly what they were doing. I am not sure if my girlfriend being present or me being Black was a factor, but to be that rude is very unbecoming and strange to think otherwise. This was definitely an act of prejudice, especially when I did not respond in an ill manner and my friends felt an odd/unwelcoming vibe as well as we are all young black people. All I did was throw away my completely filled drink and walk out the door. This is the first time that this has ever happened to me here and it will certainly be the last. To my fellow Black People and LGBT, do not come here. read more

He spoke so low you could barely hear him over the loudness in the store. The card minimum is 10 dollars so be warned. They don't accommodate this even if you're a few cents shy of $10. The tea is amazing. 3.5/10 for customer service. They did not accept my coupon credit for $4 because "they didn't have the scanner." Super inconvenient so I had to pay with cash. The cashier gave me $3 in quarters for change without letting me know they did not have ones. Typically, the cashier would ask before giving so much change. This is my favorite chain for bubble tea so I was excited to see it was near my new office. Usually when I order from them I say "extra bubbles" in the comments because there is no option for extra bubbles. This is usually my go to chain for bubble tea because the quality remains consistent but I'm not sure how many more times I'll come back here. When this location first opened the bubbles were always really fresh, but lately they've always been very clumped together which leads me to believe they've been sitting out for a while ): Hopefully with time they'll figure out how much tapioca pearls to have on the ready to suit demand instead of over preparing. The tea is great. I have no issue with the franchise, but this location is weak. We tend to order for a large group and there is almost always a problem. They allegedly open at 11:00 according to website, but you can't order on the app at that time. Don't even bother trying to call - they don't pick up the phone. A friend was picking up the order, assuming I had already ordered online and when she got there at noon, had to hand the employee her cell phone so I could read off 8 orders with varying details of amount of ice, toppings, quantity of sugar, etc. Lots of room for error that way. And during Covid times, who wants to give a stranger their cell phone? Ewww. The guy could not care less when I told him I had been trying to call, and gave some excuse that the app is down and he has to contact someone to fix it. The app has been down several times, which gives the impression that they simply don't want to deal with it and don't care to answer the phone. If you don't order through the app, you can't get rewards points which translates to free drinks. It's all-around inconvenient for the customer. As for accuracy of the orders, there is often an error, one gets left out, one is the wrong size, etc. Millburn is better but not always convenient to location. read more
