Everything is made with natural, fresh, and high quality ingredients. It's located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. It's a small store with a bright and modern interior. They only have four tables, so it's better for grab-and-go. They have a grass wall backdrop for some photo ops. They have an open kitchen concept, so you can see them prepare the drinks and food with fresh fruits and vegetables. I've been here multiple times and my favorite items to order are the smoothies, raw juices, energy protein balls, and vegan donuts. They offer a large variety of fruits, vegetables, and superfoods for their drinks. So whether you want something spicy, sweet, tangy, tropical, or herbal... they have it all! The juices have concentrated, intense, and bold flavors. The smoothies are thick and creamy with well-balanced flavors. Both are incredibly refreshing and you can't go wrong with ordering any on the menu. The energy protein balls are a great snack - it's almost like eating raw cookie dough, but a much healthier version. The vegan donuts are a must try! I've tried both the pitaya and matcha flavors. I was disappointed that the flavors weren't strong, BUT the icing and texture made up for it. They use delicious almond and rum frosting glazed over the top. The texture is completely different from a regular donut. It's a lot more fluffy and moist, similar to a muffin or cake. Service is really a hit or miss depending on what day and time you go. Every time I come, they are busy. I guess they're so busy that they don't have time to acknowledge or greet customers. There's not much interaction except for when you place your order. You may also have to wait awhile for your order to come out. I recommend ordering ahead if you want to save time. If you sign up for their emails/texts/rewards program, they send you $5 coupons every Friday! GO RAW!!!

The Bergenfield location just opened up two months ago in the Foster Village Shopping Center. Stepping into the store feels like you're transported to DR! The interior is bright, colorful, and vibrant. They have great music choices - come on, who doesn't love bachata?! It's a small place with a few tables/chairs and counter seating. The whole ambiance is a vibe... happy island vibes only! The menu is full of tropical flair with a Dominican influence. They use fresh, locally sourced ingredients in their drinks and food. They have smoothies, juices, meal replacement shakes, mofongo, patacon, sandwiches, wraps, empanadas, yaroa, etc. One of the best things about this place are the very reasonable and affordable prices! They have an open kitchen so you can see them prepare everything fresh on the premises. The staff has amazing energy! Super friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. They're attentive and interactive with customers. They gave me recommendations and delicious juice samples. They also have a rewards program where you can earn points towards freebies and discounts. I've tried a few things - some are hits and some are misses. *Chinola (Passion Fruit) Juice ($3.79) - A huge miss! The passion fruit was really lacking in flavor... it wasn't intense, refreshing, or tart. I felt like I was drinking sugary water. I couldn't even finish half of the drink because it was incredibly sweet. *Mamey Smoothie ($5) with evaporated milk ($1.89) - I've always been curious about trying mamey. An employee let me sample the actual fruit before I ordered the drink, which I appreciated. She recommended mixing it with evaporated milk. The texture was very creamy with a subtle taste similar to sweet potato or pumpkin. I think the sweetness of the milk overpowered the mamey, but it was a good try regardless. I wouldn't order it again - not my type of fruit LOL *Chicken Cheese Empanada ($2.34) - I know that there's regional variations when it comes to making the ideal empanada, but I just wasn't a fan of theirs. I prefer mine baked, but theirs is deep fried. The crust was too large for the filling. It was a bit oily and soggy. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well and was dry. I expected to bite into cheesy goodness, but to my surprise, there was barely any cheese. I ordered this in the afternoon, so maybe it didn't taste as good since it was sitting out under heat lamps. *Chimichurri Sandwich with pernil ($8) & tostones ($2.75) - A decent sandwich overall. It came with warmed cabbage, onions, tropical sauce (mayo + ketchup), and your choice of protein. The bread was lightly toasted and crunchy. The pernil (roasted pork) was tender, but not as rich in flavor as I would've liked it to be. I specifically ordered this for the chimichurri sauce, which has a signature zesty, vibrant, and fresh taste.... but I did not taste it at all :( It wasn't a bad sandwich - it's just not what I expected. The tostones (fried plantains) were deep fried to perfection with a crispy and salty exterior. I could eat these ALL DAY. The food and drinks were a 3, but the friendly service and warm atmosphere bring it up to a 4. I'm willing to stop by in the future to try more smoothies or even to munch on some tostones!

The environment did not appear clean, and it gave the impression that basic hygiene standards were not being taken seriously. The employees were rude, dismissive, and seemed uninterested in helping customers. The food tasted stale and poorly prepared, and the coffee was served cold and lacked any quality or flavor. The most alarming part of my visit was noticing roaches inside the establishment. Seeing pests in a place that serves food and drinks is completely unacceptable and immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and safety of the business. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disturbing. Management needs to make major improvements to sanitation, customer service, and food preparation. Until those issues are addressed, I would strongly advise others to avoid this coffee shop.

Regrettably, they were currently unable to make the pour over coffee. Woman working behind the counter was nice and the Americano was a solid consolation prize. My wife liked but didn't love the horchata latte, was a bit underwhelmed by the "horchata" flavor. I would certainly give Coffeecol another try, as I'm intrigued by their direct from Colombian farm coffee.

Tried the matcha latte and really enjoyed it. The matcha flavor was really present and love the creaminess of it which is just how I like it. Took a sip of my parents lavender latte and OMG I am in love!! One of the tastier drinks I've had in a while. Really love the floral taste of the lavender but it wasn't so overwhelming that it felt like I was drinking soap. It was so good Would definitely be back just for the lavender latte... wait scratch that, I DEFINITELY will be back. Another great Java, where the chocolate drizzle and foam made it a memorable selection. Besides Liquid Gold, I ordered a slice of their Chocolate Marble Cake and it was....AWESOME! Moist, firm, pleasantly sweet, and was a perfect complement to the Brain Juice. Thank you, Cafe Tesia, for making this stop worth the time.
