Right beside the Shake Shack and not too busy at all which made it very different than most. Located in the mall. Menu feels a bit cut down, and the staff making the drinks in the back wasn't exposed like many other locations, so wasn't sure why speed was just so-so even without a lot of people waiting. Table was sticky. Grape Crisp Boom was still solid, though. And one of the few that I've seen with a few tables and chairs for guests. read more

One of the best Heytea interiors I've seen! I'm from the Bay, and none of the Heytea locations there compare to the GSP location. It's so spacious, which makes it perfect for chatting. Most of the locations I've been to are small and always packed, so I usually had to get takeout and drink elsewhere. As for the tea, it never disappoints. I've tried it many times, and it's always consistent. I loved both drinks, perfectly sweetened and great as a dessert that still feels light. I really wanted to try the kale drink, but they were sold out. It's inside the mall, which makes it super convenient. Not the best HeyTea I've ever been to, but fine overall. We ordered in person due to the app not working and they took a while to come out with our drinks, but it did seem relatively busy. Not the hugest fan of the space - really awkward with table placements and no one is cleaning the tables, but it felt more like a grab and go spot anyway. Heytea has opened its doors in GSP, joining several other boba tea stores in the mall. The store is right next to Shake Shack on second floor. This is a much bigger store, with some minimalistic design. There are lots of seats and tables available for guests to dine inside the store. For grand opening, they are running multiple week long specials like BOGO drinks, free magnets and canvas bag giveaway. I went to the store around half past noon on day 2 of opening. There was a huge line outside the store. Took me about 25 minutes to get to the register to order. While waiting in line, I got the menu and the magnet from of the staff member. I ordered the Mango Cloud and Cheese Brown Sugar Boba milk. I received $8 discount for the BOGO offer. It took them about 10 minutes to prepare the drinks. I was able to track the order status in the app, while I stepped out of the store to get some lunch. The drinks were amazing quality. I tried the Cheese Brown Sugar Boba milk first. The boba were soft and chewy, just melting in my mouth. The cheese milk was so delicious. I drank the Mango Cloud few hours later. It has big chucks of mango. Continues to be my favorite drink from HT. So happy that HT decided to open their store in GSP. We went for the first time on Saturday. We ordered and waited half an hour. We were told that the printer broke and it would be another 15, then we were told that it was fixed, then it wasn't. The worker at the register then told us she would refund us. Got the refund today, she kept the tip despite us not receiving any drinks. I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

Heytea finally opened in GSP!!! They have promotion going on now for free drinks. This is the time to check it out. You order at the counter and wait for them to call your number. I have to say it's a wayyyyyyyy shorter waiting time than other locations. I had supreme brown sugar boba milk tea. Man it was so good. The brown sugar coating on the boba is delicious. The cheese foam on top definitely brought it to another level. I thought I wouldn't like it but wow it was surprisingly good. The design in the store gives a zen sensation. So excited that HeyTea is finally open at Westfield Garden State Plaza! They are conveniently located right next to Shake Shack. I stopped by in the afternoon on their first day, and while there was about a 20-30 minute line to get inside, the wait was absolutely worth it. Once you make it into the store, the service is incredibly efficient--ordering and drink preparation only took about 5 minutes. If you aren't familiar with HeyTea, they are a wildly popular chain from China that originally started out specializing in fruit teas and cheese foams. Their menu here is consistent with their other locations, which is great. I've always been a big fan of their matcha and mango drinks, but lately, I've become completely obsessed with the Pistachio Cloud King Jasmine Tea. It is an absolute must-try! They are running a bunch of great grand opening promos (like BOGO deals) this weekend and into the coming week, so it's the perfect time to check them out. It was my first time at any HeyTea location so I didn't really know how to order but I just knew I had a taste for matcha. The menu was not super descriptive with what was exactly in each drink and although the person behind the counter was nice, she wasnt all that helpful. The menu was not new customer friendly. I realized that the app was a little bit more descriptive. After several follow up questions, I found out that I could not get a matcha with non dairy milk so instead I got the Coconut Mango boom. The staff member did not ask about the sweetness but something told me to ask about it. I requested no sweetener so she had to reorder my drink. The Coconut Mango Boom was really good. It had chunks of mango though I didn't care for the coconut pieces. I got the smallest size but I wish it came a little smaller. It was way too many sago pearls for me. I think I would go back and try the Kale Boost Tea. I did like the minimalist look of the location as well. read more

Visited Hey Tea at Garden State Plaza this morning and surprisingly a very small line. They had just opened for the day and they had a fun promotion today to draw your inspiration for a free drink for the first 100 customers. While waiting we made a quick drawing and got our free drink which was the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte. The drink was a delicious matcha drink with matcha mochi, matcha jelly, and topped with a matcha cloud. We had asked for it to be less sweet as the toppings added some sweetness. The employees were great and super helpful and was attentive to all customers coming in and sharing the promos. Drinks were made fresh. Loved the minimalistic aesthetic at the shop-- made it look clean and simple. I will def be back again as they have fun promos going on for the next few days for the grand opening. read more

It's true! There's another Heytea in New Jersey! Near the Shake Shack and Ramen restaurant on the second level. Typical heytea seating with two big tables seating around 6-8, and 4 smaller tables with 2-3 seats each. Clean, new, but busy. Staff is very nice and explain the details to drinks with customers. They seem to still be getting into the groove, so expect a longer wait time than NYC(for now). A good drink takes a while! Just an FYI to new heytea drinkers, the default is "less sugar" so if you like something sweeter, remember to change the sugar level. read more

I'm glad they opened one in GSP because I don't like going to American Dream (or the city). The wait can be quite long (like 15+ minutes) so order ahead on your phone for pickup. There is some seating, and most people just pick up and then leave to go shop around at the mall or whatever so the seats are pretty open. read more

I waited for over 30 minutes after placing my order. I ordered ahead on the app, and when I was on my way, there were 5 orders ahead of me. By the time I arrived at the store, there were still 3 left. From that point, it took more than 20 minutes--making it a total wait of over 30 minutes since I ordered. The store wasn't even busy, and it was a weekday afternoon. I really don't know if it should ever take this long. It's so much slower than other locations, and no one there seems to know what they're doing. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I was ready to hate this place - the long lines and relatively high prices are such a turnoff (as someone who hates buying drinks outside). Pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the Kale Slim Boost drink. With a jasmine tea base, kale, apple, lemon, chia seeds and green grape, it's a refreshing alternative to bubble tea which can feel overly sweet and so heavy! The bottle it comes in is ridiculously cute and reusable (though not heavy duty - it's a step up from a Starbucks clear cup). While I wouldn't wait an hour for this, I'd be happy with this drink as an occasional treat. read more
