Finally was able to try Hey Yogurt and absolutely loved it! Parking is either hit or miss as they are located on the Main Street of Ridgewood. You can order on the kiosks or order at the front with the staff that work there. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful as this was our first time ordering. I opted for the matcha lychee flavor. There are fresh lychee chunks at the bottom layer with yogurt and then matcha on top. I enjoyed that you can build the sweetness and reduced sugar or no sugar to your liking. A very good alternative healthy dessert option! They have plenty of indoor seating at the tables and high top stools area. The inside is very clean and neat which is something I look for in a new spot.

first time and we enjoyed our orders! Inside was bright, clean and spacious. Staff was solo that day but was very timely with orders and well-mannered. we got their matcha strawberry and matcha with red beans! its like drinking guilt-free milk tea! lol great alternative for a sweet drink. Im glad i actually got the red beans since it went well with the matcha. Its not boba but at least i got to chew on something. cute indoor space and seating as well.

SAY GOODBYE TO BUBBLE TEA AND SAY HEY TO YOGURT! This place was recommended to us by a family friend who happened to see us in the area. She texted us this place and said to go for dessert so we had to try! To our surprise, it hit the spot and much much more. Upon entering it is such a cute shop. Very clean and aesthetically calm and relaxing. We saw only one person at the counter who greeted us as we placed our orders in the kiosk. ORDERED Mango - I AM ORDERING THIS NEXT TIME. Perfect combo with the yogurt. Banana - this is what I ordered and I LOVED. A nice refreshing flavor true to banana with tiny bits of banana you can much on while drinking the treat. Not to sweet not to pungent, it was just right. Oreo - I'm not a fan of yogurt with oreo but this I wasn't mad at. I can see the appeal and the person who ordered this enjoyed! Strawberry Banana - my friend said it was so delicious and couldn't stop raving. I have no clue if this yogurt dessert drink style shop is a new thing but it is definitely a new craving for me now! I especially enjoy how the yogurt is not as heavy feeling as milkshakes and bubble tea and has a more refreshing feel. I had it yesterday and I'm craving today!!! Everyone should try, it is such a treat!

Came here on a whim after having lunch nearby. I didn't know what to expect since it's homemade yogurt based drinks but it definitely did not disappoint. The drinks were refreshing and you can choose sugar level. The fruit flavors add a nice touch of sweetness to it and the drinks were very satisfying. I will definitely be returning to try other flavors. The service was excellent and the space is quite spacious inside.

Visited a few weeks ago while on a walk in downtown Ridgewood. We found this newly opened shop and went to check it out and we continue to wish it great success as it seems the downtown district is a revolving door of small shops. The premise is a yogurt oriented smoothie. We ordered a fruit one and an Oreo one. They were both very delicious and explained to us and crafted professionally by the one employee in the shop. We would have loved to see more seating options indoors, but again, we wish this business great success and pray the community will embrace its unique flavors and offerings as it is similar yet very different to the many other drink oriented businesses in the area. They also have cheesecakes that we were not able to try on this visit. We look forward to trying another day.

Congrats to the grand opening of this new store! I've never tried their yogurt before, so when I saw that they had some awesome grand opening specials, I decided to swing by! They have a special promotion where the first 30 people who arrive at a certain time gets free yogurt - I arrived within that hour and there were already lots of people! I was #13 and had to wait about 30 minutes to get my order because they were serving those who paid for their order first (their BOGO deal was also happening at the same time). Luckily there were plenty of chairs on the side to sit and wait! I ordered the lychee and mango yogurts, both with less sugar and I really enjoyed them! It was pretty filling and I appreciated that they used real fruits instead of just syrup! Also, the sweetness level was perfect for me! Will definitely visit again!

A new obsession. I've been meaning to check out their Fort Lee (?) location but haven't made my way over so I was glad they opened up in Ridgewood close to my job! Service is really fast. The two times that I've been (within days of eachother) they were pretty slow so orders were banged out within minutes. Even if people were there I could see them being efficient enough to get orders out quickly. It's a small shop but there are a few seating areas in case you want to hang out. It's nice and open and bright which is an aesthetic I like. All the flavors (mango, pineapple, purple rice, lychee, mango and strawberry) of the yogurts I've tried so far are delicious. Pineapple is top of my list at the moment with the mango coming in a close second. I get mine with less sugar which is the perfect sweetness for me. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the flavors!

So so good! I love yogurt in general but I love that it's a smoothie form of yogurt with unique flavors like passion fruit, red bean, mango, strawberry banana, red rice, etc. You can choose low or regular sugar and I tried both and the low sugar is slightly less sweet but the regular is just right and not overly sweet. The shop is cute and small and the service was good. Ordering on the tablet is nice. Will definitely return!

We stopped by to check out this new place and were not disappointed. Delicious yogurt drinks, flavored with real fruit. You can modify it to your taste - less or no sugar. Aesthetically pleasing and great service.

Van Dyk's is one of those classic summer traditions for my family. We usually make a few trips here…read moreevery summer, and it's easy to see why people keep coming back. Their homemade ice cream is delicious, and they offer a huge variety of flavors. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and lucked out--it wasn't crowded yet. If you've ever been here during peak summer hours, you know that's a rarity. This place is a local favorite, and long lines are pretty common later in the day. I was really hoping to get my favorite, Bailey's Cream, but they were sold out. That's one thing to keep in mind: while they have a ton of flavors, they aren't always all available. I ended up ordering the Black Raspberry Chip with free rainbow sprinkles (my go-to), and it definitely hit the spot. Someone in our group got a milkshake and absolutely loved it, while another ordered the Cappuccino Oreo and enjoyed it as well. Portion sizes: A single scoop (their small) is surprisingly large. With prices having increased over the years, I'd love to see a smaller, more affordable option for those times when I just want a little ice cream. I also wish they'd let you choose two flavors in a small cup instead of requiring a double scoop (medium) if you want to mix flavors. A few things to know before you go: Van Dyk's is cash only, although they do have an ATM inside if you need it. The shop itself is very small, with no indoor seating or restrooms. There are only a few places to sit outside, so most people end up standing around or grabbing a spot on the small wall. Parking can also be a bit of a headache. The lot gets hectic, especially when they're busy, and better signage would definitely help. We've found it's often easier to park on a nearby side street and walk over. Even when the line is long, the staff does a great job keeping things moving. One employee usually takes care of an entire group from start to finish, which helps keep the ordering process efficient. Everyone we've interacted with has always been friendly and helpful. Even with the cash-only policy, limited seating, and hectic parking, Van Dyk's is still one of our family's favorite summer traditions. The homemade ice cream keeps us coming back year after year, and hopefully next time they'll have my favorite ice cream, Bailey's Cream, in stock.
