I will have to commend this one particular young man who has been making the most awesome drinks and desserts. What he makes here is legendary compared to all the other Kung Teas I've been to in the Philadelphia area. Like... he actually GIVES A DAMN about making the drinks look and taste good. I got the strawberry lemonade flavor with the bubbles in it and it was super sweet but delicious. I have no idea what the flavor my daughter got but she finished her drink with no problem. Flavor is great but they gave me such small pieces, not sure if this is the standard size or I got unlucky. Fries were good though. Just tried their drink for the first time. Didn't realize they offer variety of sugar levels and the cashier didn't ask when I ordered my drink. The drink was wayyyyyy too sweet I just simply could not drink it. when I kindly asked to either dilute it or give me another drink, cashier was hesitant and then rudely threw my drink in the trash before making another one. I'm glad to see Kung Fu Tea around in this area, since there aren't many, and KFT is a solid option. I find that you can't go wrong with the classics - milk tea, regular tea, yogurt drinks. After trying their WOW boba tea drink, which I have strong (negative!) opinions about, I'm very hesitant to try any of their new drinks. However, they do come out with new drinks frequently, which can be fun for those who like trying new things. Their interior is clean and seems like a nice environment to hang out with friends. The great thing about Kung Fu is the consistency across storefronts. Milk tea (Thai or oolong) with 30% sugar, less ice, and bubbles is my usual order. If you're more of a "tea with milk" person, you may not like their drinks, which are most definitely more so "milk with tea". When I order in person, I just ask for less milk powder and that does the trick. It would be helpful to be able to adjust the amount of milk on the app as well, but the friendly staff makes up for it. read more

They have a deep menu and I highly recommend spending some time looking at it before you order! You can customize your sugar level, ice level and in some cases can add in items like bubble and jelly. Super excited to see a Kung Fu tea open here! I'm from California and I am super picky about my bob, so this is a nice alternative for Philly. They just opened for their soft opening. The service was top notch! Food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised when I came in to order tea that they also had Asian style marinated fried chicken and chicken tenders. Tea was made perfectly how I wanted it, less sweet and light ice. The chicken was well marinated and very flavorful, did not need any additional sauces. Super crunchy and was made fresh in house. The restaurant can be dine-in or take-out with plenty of tables to sit. Brand new, so everything is super clean. Their grand opening is February 7-9th where they're having a special if you order a combo chicken meal you also get a free regular sized Kung fu tea. Sounds like a great deal! read more

A new Kung fu Tea on city ave with a brand new look, different from any other. A very convenient location on a main road which is easily accessible. They serve combo meals here, comprising of chicken, biscuits, and fries. They also serve all their other menu items and drinks. However, one of my favorite drinks to order at a bubble tea place is the Thai Tea. And although they advertised it as well as posted it on the menu, like many other KFT locations, they didn't have it in stock. We got the chicken combo with curly fries and it tasted great. This is a new Kung Fu shop connected to a fried chicken shop on City Ave. I've been getting take out bubble tea from this new Kung Fu Tea location since it's opened a couple months ago and it's been consistently great! I'm glad I can get bubble tea now without traveling deep into the city. The bubbles are cooked to perfection and I usually get 50% sweetness which is plenty sweet enough for me. It is a chain, so they do offer the same extensive tea menu as the other locations. I typically order the same thing every time, but they offer milk teas as well as fruity teas. read more

I came here with my siblings a few weeks ago and it was not a good experience. They have no milk alternative milk tea options, so I was inquiring about the tea options. I'm not lactose intolerant, I'm actually allergic to milk. It causes me to breakout into a rash all over my body and become debilitatingly sick. I am a tea lover though and I drink green tea every single day. If I'm getting just tea, I don't like sugar in it at all. It causes a sort of metallic taste in my mouth. Well, apparently, you can't choose your sugar level with just the tea like you can with the milk teas, or at least that's what this boy was claiming. I asked the almost comatose boy behind the counter, who couldn't even be bothered to take his AirPods out, what sugar level it could be compared to. He mumbled something, but we couldn't hear him, so I asked him to repeat himself and he just mumbled again. We asked three times if he could speak up and he just mumbled and stared blankly until my sweet younger brother practically barked at him to speak up. He sighed, rolled his eyes, and said "I dunno know". "Well is there someone here who does know?" He shrugged his shoulders. They all canceled their orders and we just went to Starbucks. It was such a laugh my bad experience just trying to obtain some basic menu knowledge that my three other siblings were annoyed and over it.
