This location is HORRIBLE!!! No worth it at all. I asked for the Cocoa cream wow. It was such a mistake. It was literally plain milk and sugar with a dash of cocoa. The service was horrible and slow. How does a bubble tea place run out of bubbles? This has happened to me on multiple occasions both in the Paramus location and Fort Lee location. And I'm not talking about the end of the day, they run out in the morning and midday too. A bubble tea place should never run out of bubbles, EVEN at the end of the day. Worst Kung Fu Tea location ever. I have given this location multiple chances and by that I mean more than 8x but they fail me all the time. Employees are always chit chatting and fooling around. I always get Milk Cap on my drinks and they somehow always DONT HAVE ENOUGH. today my boyfriend got like probably a teaspoon of milk cap in his drink. horrible. usually they have more than 3 people so I don't get the reason behind why they don't check their stocks and supplies. better yet, why not tell your customer that you don't have enough of the ingredient so we don't order and pay for it. I've been patient with the lines here but the last few times have made me not want to come to this location anymore. I always get a matcha bubble tea with little sugar. The girl who made it last time was inexperienced (this location is staffed by teenagers) and made my drink with too much matcha - so the drink was really grainy and hard to drink. This time they tell me that they can't make my drink with little sugar because it's premixed. Uh you're supposed to make these to order. And they are stopping their rewards program and are not giving anything to compensate. read more

I have given this place a try at least 3 times and every single time they disappoint me. I judge all bubble tea places by their Hot Honey Milk Black Tea. However, Kung Fu Tea can't make Hot Honey Milk Black Tea, because they have a set menu. They cannot go outside of the menu to create drinks. Even though they have all the ingredients to make a Hot Honey Milk Black Tea. So, I tried their Hot Milk Black tea, which was GROSS. It's not even made from actual milk, but from milk POWDER. It's pre-sweetened, so you can't even tell them to make it less sugary. The black tea itself was over brewed. It was way too bitter and leaves this film like feel over your whole mouth. The Boba (bubbles) were over cooked and mushy. 2nd time trying I tried their hot black teas with fruit flavors. Apparently they can't make any of their flavored fruit teas hot. Which makes NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER. They have the black tea already hot, they have the fruit syrups. Why can't they make a flavored hot black tea??? Who the hell knows!!!! The owner made it a set menu and nothing else. But it doesn't make sense to have a menu when all the items ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Half of their menu is crossed out. Such a waste of space for them to be there. I completely understand why this place has terrible reviews. It all makes sense and everyone of them is correct. I don't imagine this place to last very long. GET BETTER DRINKS AND INGREDIENTS and stop CHARGING UP THE BUTT for one drink. $5... this is not like Starbucks. Kung Fu Tea's DRINKS ARE DISGUSTING. I used to stop at this KFT every time I would go to the mall, but I've stopped coming. Inconsistent flavoring of fruit teas, milk teas still taste kind of powdery, and ice and sugar proportions incorrect with ordering specifications. Only upside is depending on who is working, they will remake it for you and are generally accommodating. This location needs a management overhaul as they are too inconsistent, the drink either comes out correct or you're left with a mess that needs redoing. I've stopped coming here and just save my bubble tea treat for the Fort Lee location. It's a bummer cause I would probably come every time I'm at the mall. I'll give this location another try if they improve their drinks cause I LOVE bubble tea. read more

Too cool to stay open until 9:30pm?!?!? We were craving bubble tea so despite the Saturday GSP craziness we decided to go there later in the evening JUST for bubble tea. We got there at 9:15pm and patiently waited in line. Suddenly the girl working there just decided to call it a day and not serve the rest of the people who had been waiting in line as "they are closed". After asking them what time they officially close she mumbled "ehm between 9:15pm and 9:30pm". I pointed out that online it says they close at 9:30pm to which she didn't had an answer and just looked away... don't give them your money, they don't deserve it! read more

For the sake of the Kung Fu Tea brand, I feel obligated to say this location is not a good representative of the rest of the locations. I've been to 6 different Kung Fu Tea locations (3 in NJ, 3 in NYC (Clearly I'm a big fan)), and this was unfortunately my least favorite. I understand they're younger employees who need jobs, so I approached with a bit more patience, but it was very frustrating. Took a long time to approach us to take our order, didn't know the ingredients of one of the drinks (does this drink use a dairy free creamer?), hardly listened as I said the order, and then of course got one wrong. Not too many choices on the menu, but our drinks, once corrected, tasted pretty good. So my rating for them is a 3. In general at other locations, they're more flexible with the menu options, they are more knowledgable (the Hoboken location is always very helpful), let you customize the sugar and ice amount for most drinks (!!!), and they have some of the best tasting/consistency of Boba out of all the chains. Kung Fu Tea in general gets a 5. I don't want to see this place go, its great to stop here whenever I have to endure the insanity of the mall. But please, hire at least one person to keep things running efficiently. read more

This location ruins Kung Fu Tea's reputation. I ordered the regular KF Milk tea. It was so bland and tasteless. It was just straight up plain milk and no tea. They ran out of tapioca balls but still charged me for a topping replacement. My husband had the peach oolong tea and it was also tasteless. This was extremely disappointing! You're better off going to Jamba Juice in the mall for the amount money that you are spending. They also definitely need to replace the cashier. His tone of voice was so low and pace at the register was also very slow. Why not hire someone who is more upbeat? Train your staff before opening. It seems very disorganized and doesn't seem it will be in business for long. Definitely not an authentic bubble tea shop! read more

I don't see why there are so many poor reviews and complaints. My boyfriend and I frequently go to this Kung Fu Tea location and are always satisfied with our orders. The staff is great and there are never long lines when when I go (then again I never go to the mall on weekends). Kung Fu Tea is great! I highly recommend! read more

I ordered a taro milk tea, and ask for "less sugar." Been here a few times now and the experience is very inconsistent. Sometimes it's decent - like lollicup/quickly/ cocos quality - and other times it's barely tolerable (e.g.: the bubbles are too hard or not flavorful enough; lacking tea flavor; wrong order). They often don't fill the cup to the top; they leave an inch or more from the top empty. And the quality of your drink really depends on who is making it and how busy they are. read more

Ordered large black milk tea but the clerk rang up a medium. The manager on duty asked me what was wrong after seeing my puzzled look, I told him and he offered to upgrade mine to a large. He was swamped with several difficult customers. By the time he got around to taking to me, I already got my medium. He insisted on giving me the large for free if I would wait he few extra minutes. Overall a good experience and polite service. The bubble tea was good and not overly sweet. Employees are a little green but good guys. read more

I come here quite often, and usually they're pretty good. Today, I was there for two taro milk teas with bubbles. The texture and chewiness of the bubbles was just fine, though they were lacking in a bit of flavor. The milk tea itself was completely not right. Taro milk tea is usually a shade of purple. What I received were two drinks of a light beige color, I think? The lighting in the mall made me think that's what it was. It could have been a VERY light purple. When I tasted it, it was definitely NOT taro. It tasted more like chocolate, but KFT doesn't have a chocolate flavor drink. It was good, just not what I wanted. read more

Came twice with the family, first time the drinks ok, comparison to the Kung fu tea were use to in NYC. The clerk said they had no change so we had to pay credit, no biggie. We came again couple weeks after, ordered two drinks, simple milk bubble tea and grape fruit with herbal jelly. The milk bubble tea firscame out so bad I asked them to remake another. The grape fruit was very watered down w little or non jelly. Than again the cashier said they had no change, I said to him this was the second time. He replies,"it was the poor management team". I usually go to Kung Fu Tea at least 2 times a week. This location is really different than the other Kung Fu Tea. They weren't busy at the time I went there and 5 of them were working. I ordered 4 drinks, but 3 out of 4 of my drinks are not blended well and also foamy. Bobas are not chewy or sweet. They were starting to get busy by the time they finish making my drinks so I didn't even bother them for another one. I'm so disappointed. read more

I used to come here a lot during the summer and I can understand how it had so many reviews. Often the kiosk seemed pretty dirty and the workers seemed to do an inconsistent job at making their drinks. However, Kung Fu Tea is the most convenient place for me to get my bubble tea fix so I just kept coming back. The fresh faces at Kung Fu Tea now seem to be doing a much better job! I now LOVE this KFT. It's s much fun watching these kids dance while making drinks. On busy days there are people above taking videos and pictures! It's understandable. They're young, and if they didn't have their music, you'd just be watching stressed angry teenagers that dreaded their job. learn from my mistakes: Weekends can get really busy. Generally, this kiosk can have lines that curve around and never end so if you see a line, expect a wait. Some of these kids can get so busy they don't look up for a while, so if you have questions, it's easiest to ask the person behind the register. it rarely happens to me, but if a worker messes up a drink, don't be afraid to ask for it to be fixed. They have never been rude when I bring my drink back, only busy. My first time ordering a taro milk tea at this store, I was confused as to why it didn't seem purple enough. I asked the worker if she had made the wrong drink but she told me that Taro milk tea is made with black tea which darkens the color. Taro Milk Green Tea has a much more "instagram friendly" purple color because the tea is lighter. (if you're nice about your concerns they'll go a whole mile to help you out.) Lastly, this kft gets very popular but at the same time, it's very small. So on busy days sometimes they run out of products, commonly the bubbles(?!). I learned that bubbles can take an hour or 2 at a time and but a new batch of bubbles can be finished in under half an hour on busy days.Bubbles sell out quick! overall, out of all the bubble tea places I've been to, this Kung fu tea is not the worst. It's not the best either but the more I come back to this place, the better it gets. If anything, these new workers make the kiosk a mall hotspot with their fun music and their seating area right outside the store. Side note* I highly recommend their passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. SO GOOD read more

Kung Fu Tea is an absolute favorite bubble tea destination for me - so you can imagine my joy when I found out they opened one up in Bergen County (I got wind that there is another location in Fort Lee now!). As other reviewers have noted, this location is very different from the ones from New York... I was expecting to witness the super organized, assembly line-like nimbleness that I've grown accustomed to (and let's not forget the amazing taste of all the drinks) but what I saw at GSP was unrecognizable. Messy? - yes a bit. Expertise? - a gamble, depending on which bubble tea "barista" you get Taste? - oh goodness, the way they sweeten the drink is completely different from New York! I'd definitely recommend that you pump up the sweetness here unless you want a watered down drink Bubbles? - someone from KFT HQ needs to teach the staff how to properly prepare the tapioca. They are uncooked in the middle - no bueno. Sadly, I would semi-recommend this place b/c KFT Garden State Plaza on it's usual poor day is better than the bubble tea options of Bergen County. I'm hoping that the location in Fort Lee performs better than GSP! read more

Half the joy of drinking bubble tea is drinking/eating the tapioca. The straw was too small so I had to use a spoon to eat the bubble. Ruined the whole point of bubble tea. The tea tastes good but was very annoying. Unless they change their straws I would not go here again. read more
