Delicious grapefruit green tea. I asked for no ice and no sugar. Yup, perfect (somewhat bitter as I like it; no artificial sugar). Fast service and friendly. They now have a fishing claw machine inside; looks fun! read more

I've always had a good experience when it came to this KFT but I gotta say, a lot of their boba options are TOO sweet even with very low amounts of sugar. I haven't had the option of trying their food options, but they look pretty good. Service is quick too, especially if you have the mobile app for rewards and order ahead options. It's a small establishment but pretty standard compared to other KFT locations. It's laid back, never really too crowded or noisy either. read more

Nice bubble tea shop with a great selection of bubble tea, milk tea, and other tea drinks. I had the oolong milk tea, which I liked a lot. I do personally think that the shop could look a little more lively if there were some more nice decor or paintings, including in the bathroom. The shop and the bathroom could both use more decor. Otherwise, all else was satisfactory for me! read more

My friend and I stopped by Kung Fu Tea a few weeks ago when we were in the area. It was fine - typical menu for the chain, pretty fast, good service. Not a bad place for a bubble tea if you're in the area. read more

They have things on their menu that aren't really on there/they don't have the recipe for so they just wing it and make you something else hoping you won't complain. The people making the drinks don't care enough to find out how to make things properly but the cashier workers are nice read more

I think their menu descriptions are confusing for those who don't order a ton of bobba tea. Some of the items I thought with come with bobba, didn't and the names for the tapioca bubbles was different then I had seen before. The passion fruit green tea was great, one of my favorite items. I got a roasted chestnut milk tea with tapioca bubbles and was really confused on what the other item in the bottom was (was it nuts, was it candy?). I think for those with allergies or who are new to the tea world would really benefit for some better descriptions. read more

The store was bright and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. Great visit, overall. In additional to the extensive list of drinks, this location also offers KFT branded snacks that I have not seen at any other location. This included mango, strawberry, 13-spice and "cooked egg" flavored popcorn, and two different types of KFT themed gummy candies. Take my money! I initially planned to order my favorite go-to drink, a large ginger milk with almond milk and crystal bubbles, but unfortunately, this location does not offer almond milk. Instead, I ordered a rosehip lemonade with mango popping bubbles and a pineapple sunshine tea with nata jelly. Both of the drinks were fantastic, but that nata jelly took my tea to the next level. It was amazing. Parking is limited in this area so pack your patience; you might have to circle the block a few times before you get your KFT fix. read more

Great service. Small and not much of an interior ambiance. Friendly staff who quickly prepared my almond milk bubble tea. I paid with the LevelUp app and presumably earned loyalty rewards. The bubble tea tasted fresh, flavorful, not too sweet, and cold. There's no dedicated parking lot. It's all street parking. I would come back. read more

Yum! I wandered in on a Thursday afternoon. I'd seen other cooly perspiring cups in hands as I completed other errands in the area, but I was the only customer when I entered. It was a little on the loud side, so I recommend speaking up so the order attendee can hear you through the plexiglass. The two employees behind the xounter quickly put together and sealed my taro milk tea with bubbles. It was exactly the sweet, creamy drink that I wanted. There's a menu in the window facing outside if you don't want to stand inside while you review the options. You can also order online. The pick up shelf is clearly marked and directly in front of you when you walk in. Many of the tables inside are closed for COVID safety protocols. You can pay with LevelUp. read more

It's been 10 minutes, and I'm DUE For another drink from Kung FU So now I'm going to rap for YOU And if it really sucks, just BOO So if you and your bf are THROUGH And you need something (someone) to DO Let me show you how my legend "GREW" And all my urban myths are TRUE Be glad your sister never KNEW What we did, or she'd want me TOO So do me like they do the DEW And I'll stick atop you like GLUE There is no taming of this SHREW I'll be the driver, you the SCREW You the river, me CANOE Or you can be Barbie's sexy SHOE Me Roger Daltrey, you the WHO You Chinatown Houston, me LOU Me dictator, you my COUP You Nepal, me KATHMANDU You 80s radio, me CUTTING CREW You a doctor's office, me the FLU You the Synagogue, me the JEW You the toilet, me the POO Wait, what Anyway Those boys will have to join the QUEUE And wait until I'm done with YOU You'll bounce like a KANGAROO Cause we're lovers, not fighters like FOO And when we're done (in a day or TWO) After I've made your kitty MEW And after I've finally WITHDREW Then it's time to go to Kung FU! WHAT What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! I was asking what kind of beans they had one time. The girl was like "what is this, Mung Fu Tea?" My notes say - friendly girl and her dad, took forever, good tapioca, least sweet, most tea like, enjoyable, friendly, photos I don't perform music in the bathroom anymore. Otherwise it'd be "Sung Fu Tea." Well it wasn't the best lemon black tea I had, and had a stronger tea flavour than the others in DC, but I definitely have to upgrade from 4 stars to 5 stars because the girl and her dad were so incredibly friendly despite being slammed, and in fact some of the friendliest Boba workers in all of the DC area, so I'll definitely be back here in future. I asked them both "what is the past tense of I Bring Kung Fu Tea?" They incorrectly responded "Brung Fu Tea." And I loved every sip, and even though it took forever because they randomly got busy, it was still one of my fave Boba experiences in greater DC. So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu! read more

It was almost $8 for a regular-sized matcha slush with regular boba and mango boba. I will say that the matcha flavor was spot on. Sometimes matcha flavor is drowned out by sugary sweetness or vanilla. In this case it was perfect with just a hint of sweetness. My visit to Kung Fu Tea was otherwise unremarkable. I'd say it's an OK place if you have a craving for bubble tea. FYI, parking in this area is a challenge. You're limited to a few meters here and there. You're better off reaching this Kung Fu Tea location if you're already on foot in the area or getting off at the nearby metro stop. read more

This is a great place to chill with friends after dinner since they have a late closing time. It's also pretty clean and well kept with the typical KFT interior design and colors. But that's about it for me. I got the Kung Fu Black Milk Tea with Grass Jelly (almost $6 after tax) and it lacks tea flavor. I could barely pick out any of the tea flavor in my drink. The milk flavor is also pretty weak, and overall my drink was pretty watery. This location definitely has more milk than tea for their milk tea drinks. I don't think I will get this drink here again when I come back. Perhaps a fruit tea is good? Again, great place to hang out, but the drink I got was pretty subpar. read more

Great location, great product. This area has so many Starbucks, but what it really needed was this KF Tea! The location is very close to the Clarendon metro stop, so get off here and grab your boba fix. Can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu, and I especially appreciate the ability to adjust the sweetness level, since I don't like it too sweet. Also make sure to download their app to earn rewards for your purchases. A perfect summer day for me would involve picking up a sunshine pineapple tea with regular boba and then walking around Clarendon playing pokémon. But more often than not, I'm picking up that tea on my way to the office, sigh. Nevertheless, it hits the spot and makes my day a bit happier. read more

Great little boba shop in the heart of downtown Clarendon. This one sells poke, too! The wait time is longer than other boba places I've been to, but Arlington is naturally more crowded all the time. I ordered the new sesame matcha boba and it was a great flavor! The sesame seeds made the texture a little different, but I still liked it. My friend asked for her black milk tea less sweet, but it was still really sweet. Apparently you can order sweetness by percentage, so be sure to be clear when ordering. Not a ton of room for a stroller but I made it work. There's also a side room area with tables where you can sit down. read more

Lots of great tea options... the boba were super yummy and perfect texture!!! You can choose from a lot of different teas and slushes... Milk bases and lactose free milks. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the Clarendon area! read more

Of the boba options in NOVA this KFT is somehow very inconsistent. I got a black milk tea one time and it definitely tasted like jasmine, but it was still good. Got a taro milk tea a different time with milk cap and 30% sugar and it felt like I was drinking 120% sugar. So I'm not sure what happened there. Overall the service is good and the drinks are generally good, but doesn't really live up to the other KFT locations. read more

Review for health conscious people: I am pretty health conscious but I have my guilty pleasures and for a while Kung Fu tea was my guilty pleasure, because let's face it, it's delicious. However, I feel that a review is necessary as their menu is extremely deceiving and I feel like it is intentionally misleading. After getting somewhat hooked, I wanted to cut down on my sugar consumption but then found that they offer "green tea with a splash of *fresh* orange juice". Which became my go-to and I felt like I could easily order this with no guilt. After a couple of times of really enjoying but feeling like it was too good to be true, I dug around quite a bit to finally find out that everything.. and I mean everything on their menu is saturated in high fructose corn syrup. And that their fresh orange juice is a combination of a a few things that are really bad. Again, their menu is extremely misleading in telling people that their orange green tea is just fresh orange juice and tea, and that the lemon green tea, is fresh lemonade, cane sugar, and tea. There needs to be more transparency to educate people of what their actually signing up for when going for these "teas". Never again. read more

Still a hit and miss for this branch. Not at all generous on toppings...I can almost always count the boba they put on my drink :(

Good boba and variety of milk tea and smoothies. I forgot to customize my milk tea to less sweet, but the drink was still drinkable--not as sweet as some other places. The store was clean and had seating areas, but we didn't stay. Our came out quickly. I would try again, but with my normal customizations so I can figure out if it's my top pick for the area or not. read more

Dear Kung Fu Tea, I have a bit of a problem with you. See, I visit you way too often. I refuse to check-in on Yelp everytime I do because people will think that I am likely an employee. That is how often I visit! Fact is - I am not. I love all you delicious goodness. Your different varieties always keep me coming back for me. My favorite though is your taro milk tea with extra bubbles. I cannot get into your jams, but I like the basic essentials. You're always available and ready to serve my needs with the urge comes calling. Another thing that I like about you is that your people are nice. They serve a great product along with their pleasant customer service. They do get overwhelmed sometimes, but they work well under pressure. Good job for hiring competent people who are willing to go above and beyond. Lastly, I am moving to Nashville in a couple of months. Can you please open a location there, too? K, thanks! Sincerely, MKA xoxo read more

Name any bubble tea store in DMV, I have visited it. I even worked at one for few years. i am very familiar with Kungfu tea brand and have visited several stores. But this location is a constant disappointment. Where do I begin? 1)Over-steeped bitter tea 8 out of 10 times. 2)Walking in 45 mins before closing seems like you have committed a crime, the staff looks visibly disappointed. Occasionally giving you cold shoulder as you place your order. Avoid and go else where! read more

Love it! A few friends and I came here after lunch on a weekday. This actually a huge chain, but the first location I've ever been to. It's a pretty cute soace with a decent amount of seating. The group of us ordered a couple of different drinks out if the huge variety of options. We were a little confused at first because the boba is listed under "toppings" so when we were asked if we wanted topping we assumed that meant whip cream or sprinkles for the top of the drink and we said no at first. It got figured out eventually and the man taking the order was very nice about it. Overall, super tasty tea with tons of options. Will probably be coming back soon! read more

Convenient location right beside the Clarendon metro, but parking can be difficult to find at times. The drinks are solid and you can adjust the ice and sugar level to your liking. Highly recommend the milk oolong tea, mango snow, or any of the punch drinks for first timers. The only drawback is that this location is slightly stingy on their toppings compared to other KFT locations. I always ask for double bubbles at this location when I order my drinks. Edit: they recently opened a poke bar in the store and you can purchase a poke + boba combo for less than $13 which is a good deal. read more

It's shameful how frequently I'm in here. It started out with small sized drinks only, and now nothing short of the large will do. I've never had any of their hot offerings, but I do love their Lychee Punch. It has green tea, lychee pieces, lychee syrup, and I get the tapioca bubbles to give me a chewy treat. It's my perfect day off treat and I can't imagine a better way to start the weekend than with one of these drinks in my hand. read more

Very happy that there is finally a Kung Fu Tea in Arlington. It is now the closest one to me, so I don't need to travel out to Eden Center as often. I usually get the taro milk tea with no sugar and bubbles. Although I ask for no sugar, taro has a naturally sweet taste, so I think there may be some sugar in the drink. Highly recommend getting the kung fu tea app, so you get rewards. This particular location is smaller than some of the others, but they have several tables and chairs if you feel like hanging around for a little bit. They are always playing good music here. Most recently, they were playing some upbeat techno music when I was hear. I have gone here a few times, but this time was a fairly large letdown. All of my bubbles were stuck together so that I could not enjoy the boba tea as intended. Instead, I was stuck paying for the topping and just drinking the tea (while the straw occasionally got stuck on the giant boba mass). I usually like this place as the tea is tasty and the bubbles are usually great, but this shows me they need to focus a bit on boba quality control. read more

UPDATE: I went back and tried the Thai tea again and it's just terrible. Addicted to boba so I've tried nearly every place that offers boba in Arlington and DC. KFT is usually pretty reliable but I'm really disappointed in my experience today. The young woman had poor customer service. I ordered a Thai milk tea. I saw that as they were trying to make it, they were out of Thai tea. When I receive my order it's not the usual orange of Thai tea so I ask the cashier and she says "It says Thai tea." I ask again because it looks like regular tea and she says "Our tea doesn't have food color." I guess I'm disappointed in the matter-of-face statement "It says Thai tea" as if I can't read....The same woman also interrupted a conversation I was having with another employee fairly abruptly. read more

Love Kung Fu Tea and I've been going to several of their other locations (Tyson's, Annadale, Centreville, and Eden Center). Same menu with all the options. My favorites include the Taro Slush and the traditional milk tea. Try to go with the 70% sugar if you want something a little normal. I would say normal 100% sugar can be too sweet. Though it has varied on location I've been to. I've been to this particular location twice. They have a few things to work out with their operations (speed, quality control, and learning curve with menu for newer employees). I won't let that impact them unlike other reviews. Will probably come back and update the review once they're smooth sailing. read more
