    Acai bowl and avocolado smoothie
    Zarin B.

I love their acai bowls soooooo much! And their banana chia boost smoothie. I also tried the avocolado and it's my second favorite smoothie now. After 5pm everyday all their smoothies are $5. Definitely worth it. It's kind of small inside but still plenty of seating. Service is friendly and quick.

I don't care what anyone says the smoothies are the absolute best. Anything with pomegranate in it is going to be delicious and I really enjoyed the smoothie, as well as the wrap sandwiches. Great menu options and I enjoyed my experience.

Food: I ordered an açaí bowl. The bowl was good but it seemed to be a smaller portion (SUPER TINY) when compared to other places that specialize in bowls. The restaurant was clean and the staff were kind. 3.5/5

I have no idea why this place doesn't get 5 stars all the time. The ladies who work here have the angels touch in their fingers!!! Every food item I get, wether its the thai chicken salad, hummus veggie wrap, ANY smoothie, it's always DELICIOUS!! They are also extremely kind always!! I go after here for work and the wait is never too long and even if it is they get it out rrly quick.

Pros: long lasting good brand name and quality product. I've frequented here many years mainly in silver spring and have always been happy with the experience. Cons: on my last order with this company at this new site I received my drinks like this. I can't say what happened between the Grubhub driver and receiving the drinks but it was unacceptable. Also in the days of food tampering my bag was unsealed. Unacceptable.

Good smoothies and sandwiches! The cashier was friendly and helpful when I asked about the menu. I liked that it was very clean and they had hand sanitizer readily available. I'll definitely be back to try out more of the menu!

Good service, the cashier was very nice and helpful. It's also very clean and there's always background music. I ordered the Detox Island Green smoothie and it didn't disappoint: the cup is huge, it's super yummy, and only 180 calories!

destroyed food wrappers because the food was TOO BUSS

the ladies in the kitchen are always cooking up a STORM. the food is always scrumptious, mind-blowing, and delectable. they deserve to be paid $100 an hour for their service to mankind. any tongue that rises against this store shall have the wrath of the food gods brought upon them. do not test them, they are the best of the best.

Tropical Smoothie is fine, maybe slightly better than fine. They seem to have perfected the microwave sandwich and kettle cooked chips are always a plus. But I'm not here to talk about the food. It's consistent and will always be consistent. I'm here to talk about the watermelon mojito. Get up right now and go get one. Then if you're not lazy like me, make one at home. The watermelon mojito smoothie is the best thing Tropical Smoothie has going for it and it's only in during the summer. That's right, a limited time. It's the most refreshing yet flavorful drink you can have in the summer. It was so good I drank it before I took a picture. Wouldn't really matter if I did though. Just imagine a tropical smoothie cup and red color on the inside. If I remember I'll come back and add a picture. Anyway go grab the watermelon mojito, a flatbread, and some chips. You won't regret it.

I never post bad reviews but this needed it. The smoothie I ordered was good (congrats guys) but everything else was terrible. The guy who took my order 1) was barely paying attention to my order 2) thought I said Chicken Apple Sandwich when i ordered the Sunrise Sunset Smoothie 3) CUSTOM ORDERED me a pizza on a tortilla when I had actually asked for just a plain cheese quesadilla. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THAT ON THE MENU. Don't go into the store to order. Better off ordering online or going to another storefront.

Smoothies on Smoothies on Smoothies!! There are so many options here, it's ridiculous. I'm an avid smoothie fan and the smoothies that are produced here are fantastic. I'm a big fan of the Avocolada (avocado, lime, pear, kale, spinach, ginger) and there's always some sort of seasonal smoothie that always seem to pop up every two weeks. And I'm not exaggerating! This week was the UnBeetable Berry smoothie. I ordered it and it was delicious. The space is pretty small but there is outdoor seating, which is nice when you want to enjoy the spring/summer/fall weather. The employees are very nice and brings your food (aka smoothie) to you! That's kind of unheard of for a "fast food" joint. My buddy and I always come after our late workout (~8 pm) and there's always people in there, so you know its a good place. The location is always clean and a person is coming around the discard cups that people have neglected to throw away. Tip: Check in everytime you get here. There are always promotion offers. Last time I got a free smoothie and combo!!

Tropical smoothie Cafe has the fastest service. I am blown away every time i visit within moments of ordering i have a smoothie in hand. The smoothies are delicious and taste fresh every time. I love their lunch special where you get a smoothie and a half sandwich for around $8. The smoothie that comes with it is a perfect size too.

There's a lot of back-and-forth about who offers the best sandwiches./subs in the DMV. My vote is for The Italian Store! Even when you're in a rush, they have ready-made classic sub choices for grab-n-go. This is a great spot to try for lunch one day or even on the weekend. You will not be disappointed. Also, when the workday has been to rough and you don't feel up to cooking, TIS is a great option. Happy eating.

Anyone who remembers this place from years ago remembers taking a number, waiting in line, and getting one of the best made-to-order subs in the region? The sandwiches were worth the wait. Maybe the parents moved back to Italia and the kids got stuck with the greedy landlord. Now its just a lazy we don't care overpriced landlord run revenue generator. 6 years after COVID and the subs are still pre-made dying in over stacked pile on the counter. The rolls are often soggy by the time they reach the customer, and the fillings are so thinly layered that each bite feels more like bread sandwich with some after thought what's inside. It screams KEEP THE COST DOWN. What was once a destination deli now feels like a place that's simply too tired to care. The decline reminds me of when DC bartenders traded free pours for jiggers. Less booze, higher prices, and a straight face while handing it to you 30 minutes later with a clever name like Adam's Apple. Same business model here. Less meat, more bread, and somehow we're all expected to clap. The saddest part is that it's still busy, largely because there are fewer and fewer alternatives. The independent mom-and-pop shops that gave this area character have been pushed out, and we're left with a shell of what this place used to be. At this point, I've had fresher and better-constructed subs from Harris Teeter. That's not meant as a compliment. When customers start comparing a legendary deli to a grocery store sandwich counter--and the grocery store holds its own--it's probably time for some serious soul-searching. Nostalgia can only carry a business so far. Unfortunately, the sandwich I had was living almost entirely on memories.

Well seasoned with a good crunch. The steak and cheese for me was a mixed bag...I saw my food coming and was dumbfounded by how big the bread was, and I didn't see any meat popping out. Pulled the sandwich open and saw what little meat I got. For $12.95, I feel a little ripped off. Especially when places like The Broiler and George's Steak and Things offer similar prices with an astoundingly higher meat in the meat to bread ratio. What little of the meat was available was delicious. I wish I had gotten a sub-$13 worth, not barely $7.65. Not sure I could come back. With how much I paid, it felt like a diminished return. And if I did come back, I'd hope the other offerings, like the breakfast sandwich, burger, and pulled pork, offer a better meat-to-bread ratio.

It only took a quick 10 minutes to receive our entire order, which was 3 burgers, a crispy fried chicken sandwich, loaded fries, and 2 milkshakes! I was very happy with how efficient the service was and the most important part, how delicious every bite was! The smashburgers are made with 100% halal beef and they come out HOT with perfectly crispy edges on the patties and a juicy center. We ordered 3 burgers and each of them stood out in their own way. You can get a single, double, or triple patty burger and add whatever toppings to it too. The jalapeño burger was the star of the show, it had a such a nice and spicy kick to it. I wasn't expecting much but this burger had HEAT! Another favorite was the Juicy Lucy. It was packed with grilled onions and the patty was stuffed with cheddar cheese. A super messy and cheesy option that was definitely worth every bite! I liked that Jon's Joint offered other options too such as loaded fries and fried chicken sandwiches. What I found unique is that for the loaded fries, you can get it with falafel and make it spicy! This time, they had run out of the falafel so I am excited to try it next time. If you're in Arlington and craving a casual burger spot, you need to go to Jon's Joint. You'll get quick service and a delicious meal!

Then we spotted Colada Shop tucked away in a little corner/alley next to Tatte. Naturally, the plan changed. When a place catches your eye like that, you have to investigate! Colada Shop is a cute little spot with a small patio, a few booths, and a bar inside. You can order using a QR code, kiosk, or directly at the bar. We opted for the bar and were greeted right away. The vibe inside is relaxed, casual, and full of Latin influences. There are also self-serve water stations both inside and out on the patio--which is always appreciated, especially when you're walking around Clarendon just looking for a "quick bite" that somehow turns into a full meal. I went with the Colada Shop Cuban, while the wife ordered the empanada tray with bacon & egg, summer corn, and beef, along with the chilled corn soup. The Cuban was delicious! It came with a generous amount of ham and slow-roasted pork, making for a seriously satisfying sandwich. The wife's chilled corn soup was actually the star of her meal. The empanadas were hot, flaky, and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, although I did notice there wasn't quite as much interaction with guests sitting on the patio or in the booths. Most of the interaction seemed to happen at the bar. There also appeared to be a pretty small staff, with most of their attention focused on the coffee bar. That said, our bartender was doing ALL the things--helping customers at the bar, handling coffee orders, and delivering food to people sitting in the booths. Despite the limited staffing, we still had a great experience. Everything came out fresh, the food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. So if you're wandering around Clarendon and find yourself debating where to eat, keep an eye out for Colada Shop. You might just walk in for a quick bite and walk out wondering why you hadn't tried it sooner.

Everything on it was great, with my favorite being the sliders since it was crispy and a little meaty. The empanada was a little oily but still satisfying, and the croquettes had great crunchy texture. Yuca was okay. I should've gotten a sweeter coffee drink cause I have a sweet-tooth but it was still solid. The inside vibe is pretty chill. You just grab seating yourself and can order on your phone through the QR code that's associated with the table. You can also order at the front. There is parking around the area too (paid and unpaid (if you're lucky)). Glad I came here and checked it out. Definitely a solid chain for a quick bite and refreshing drink.
