I love South Block, and consider myself to be a loyal, regularly returning customer. It's a bit pricy, but I've almost always felt the cost was justified. I'd consider it to be a "treat-yourself" kind of place. Today I tried the Boost Juice for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was!

Amazing the açaí bowl was delicious and I loved it worth every cent and will be coming back again

South Block is a great acai place in Arlington. I had the Nutella bowl made gluten free. I do wish the acai was a little sweeter but it was good.

Second time here. First time I got a kids strawberry banana smoothie. That was pretty good. This time around I got a detox juice and a recovery shot. I'm a sucker for those shooters. You can order ahead of time and they keep it in the fridge for grab and go. Overall a great place and quick service.

Service- took over 10 mins for an order so don't come here if you are in a rush like me to catch my flight. I came to this location because it is near the airport, however, parking is a bit difficult unless you want to pay a hefty price. However, the delicious bowl was worth the wait and I'm glad I waited to get it! They make each bowl fresh and you can customize or add as many toppings as you want! Although the indoor area was a bit small, the outdoor area was pleasant to chill and eat my tasty bowl!! I'll be back next time I'm in the area to try the other fruit bases/bowls!

First time trying South Block and it was yummy!! Everything on the menu looked great. I had the Green Bowl and added pineapple, agave and raw honey. Perfect for a sweet treat break after a summer weather stroll in the city The wait wasn't too bad either! I enjoyed that there was plenty of seating; perfect for catching up with a friend!

I can't even gather the words to write this review for what I just put these ladies through I had a hard time ordering and they were so sweet, patient, and kind the entire time! Her name was Minja and even while training someone she did awesome. Customer service is top tier I will definitely be back and be better about ordering next time.

I love the kiosk! Smoothie on point and area a vibe. Staff was friendly. I love the option of a mini smoothie- was all I needed

Super chill spot that makes a great green smoothie! The service is always so kind and quick. And the prices are reasonable! Highly recommend for a quick pick up or as a place to chill and chat!

Super green smoothie and warrior bowl

My friend insisted on getting an acai bowl out of nowhere even though she's never had one before. There's smoothie places around the area, but not all of them have acai. So we stumbled into South Block. My friend got the warrior bowl. It was a bit too sweet in my opinion. I got the super green smoothie. I'm surprised the kiosk had almond milk as a potential substitute for pineapple juice. I never thought of them as alternatives to each other. I didn't want my smoothie to be too sweet and I wanted the protein and fat in it. I think the end result was a bit weird when you mix kale and spinach with almond milk, but it wasn't weird in an unpleasant way. I was also surprised to see the kiosk offer ginger as an optional add on for this smoothie. Again, it's something I wouldn't have thought of requesting myself. I've always been told it's good to add ginger to raw foods to reduce the "coldness", so I clicked yes here. I don't think I taste the ginger in the smoothie, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it's in there. I appreciate how they have chia seeds and honey for you to add on the side. They fill up the bowl/cup up to the rim for everyone, so not sure how people are expected to have space to add things lol (that's a good trait).

    Magic dragon bowl

I went to South Block for the first time for lunch last week, and was pleasantly surprised by the Magic Dragon Bowl! I'll be honest- I didn't expect to be full for the rest of the day, but I was. Not to mention the flavors were amazing and it was beautiful to look at! It's a bit pricy, but worth it. I cannot wait to return.

Stephanie and Omar immediately made me feel welcome! I was so annoyed I couldn't find my $5 bday coupon and they were so patient while I dug through emails. Then I wondered if it may be associated with my account and immediately he jumped on it and said yes! lets check ! And he found it! I wasn't aware this location doesnt have their hot drinks service (makes sense with TWO compass coffee's bookending them!) so I asked if they had any matcha based smoothie and immediately we were able to find something and tweak it to my preference. THEN Stephanie ask if I wanted oat whipped cream... I don't eat oat based products as I have some digestion issues with it... BUT I thought ok a little whipped cream could be nice.... OH MY OAT CREAM!!!!!!!!!! FORGET VEGAN MARSHMALLOWS THIS CREAM IS NEXT LEVEL !!!!!!! I did not know what to do with myself !! Probably not the healthiest but what a TREAT!! Clean space, great staff, fun vegan gluten free options !

I must say Tupelo Honey Is such a beautifully crafted place that pulls you out of the everyday hustle and bustle and places you within the southern comfort and warmth that oozes through the ambiance with smiles when they great you. It's natural unforced southern hospitality from A-Z. Also of note If you're able to please ask for the (Chef's Table) and thank me later! Now to the food I started off with the famous fried green tomatoes as an appetizer then I ordered a fresh squeezed pineapple juice that was just delicious after that the amazing shrimp and grits that's so delightful and the creole sauce is blended to perfection. Here's a little food hack for ya, add pieces of your fried green tomatoes into your shrimp and grits I promise you won't regret it!! for dessert you absolutely have to try the strawberry butter pecan cheesecake!! There is plenty of seating for all party sizes. We were quickly seated and the waitress almost took so long to come we almost left. We ended up ordering the French toast along with the classic chicken and waffles. Our food arrived and of course no syrup came. By the time the syrup arrived the waffle was now like warm and my 3 toddler sized/ seasonless, bland chicken strips were finished. The waffle was ok. The two slices of French toast were ok. A side would have been nice. Overall this was a one and done for me. The food wasn't good and the service was lacking.

When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off
