Tried Kulture for brunch with my husband and baby... I'm still smiling about the whole experience. We had 11:45am reservations and walked into a calm, not overcrowded vibe... which I loved. No chaos, no noise overload... just the perfect setting to actually enjoy the moment, take pics, shoot a few videos, and soak everything in. Now let's talk about Christina... because whew. She was working dual roles... bartending and serving... and did both flawlessly. Super personable, warm, and genuinely engaging. The kind of energy that makes you feel like you're more than just another table. What really stood out was her sharing her personal growth and perspective... hearing how her mentor helped shift her mindset was refreshing and honestly inspiring. That type of interaction stays with you. Big appreciation to both Christina and whoever poured into her like that... it shows. And listen... the food. CHEF'S. KISS. Every bite was giving flavor, intention, and soul. You know a place is serious when you don't even want to talk while eating. Straight finger-clappin' satisfaction all the way back to sunny Florida. Huge shoutout as well to the two gentlemen who helped my husband... top-tier hospitality. Friendly, attentive, and clearly customer-service driven. One of them literally walked to the corner of the restaurant to help him locate the parking garage. Who does that anymore? That level of care is rare and absolutely deserves recognition. Kulture delivered on food, atmosphere, and service... the full trifecta. Do yourself a favor... check them out and support. Definitely a spot worth revisiting.

After the marathon, comes the breakfast. We randomly walked into Kulture thanks to the street marketing. The atmosphere is great, with the large windows and decor. A perfect place for brunch downtown and hanging with family and friends. Music was soulful, staff were friendly, and very accommodating. Biscuits : 10/10.. Buttery, flakey, and delicious. Throw that Jam on there with a little bit of the butter, and you good to go. Gumbo: 10/10.. the gumbo had flavor and a tiny bite at the end. The portion size is enough to fill you up. Some people like thick and some people like light, this was in-between. This hit the spot on a cold day. I would order this again.

Food was good for the price. Great atmosphere. Service was really good as well. It is right in the heart of downtown. It has upstairs seating as well.

Kulture is a must try's spot if you enjoy great food, terrific service and quieting ambience. I found Kulture on Yelp of course, trusted the community and nice again you didn't disappoint. First the food was on point, we did Sunday Brunch, I had the Crab Omelette which was delicious. The lump crab was super fresh and sweet, the omelette was cooked to perfection and the seafood lemon butter sauce tied it in with a nice kiss. I was driving so I had the coconut mojito mocktail, super flavorful and refreshing. Ohh! The homemade biscuits were a nice southern treat also. My wife had the fried lamb chops and grits, she was a lady as usual and refused to pick up the bone with her hand but they tasted so good she certainly thought about it. Our waitress/ bartender was phenomenal ( I'm sorry I can't remember her name) but she was great. Trevor the manager was super engaging with everyone and offered to validate our parking from the garage, BUT the hostess had already validated it for us. The ambiance was very inviting and unique. I really like the Kulture they're portraying at the restaurant Kulture. We will be back in October for dinner and update the review to keep you informed!

Had a great lunch in a really cool spot. The food options were varied and may I say tastyyyyyy!!! They had off the menu oxtail with a coconut curry and rice, the fried catfish was so good, and the lamb chops with chimichurri just scrumptious. The only meh dish was the macaroni and cheese, left me lacking. Service was A1 the staff made sure they checked in on us and the food. Its a nice place to get food after church and close to Discovery Green!

Everything was so amazing! The food, the vibe the service all great! Fabian was our server and maybe the reason why our experience was so amazing! The catfish was nice and hot and crispy with the crab on top. The biscuits were amazing. I'm definitely coming back at least once a month

First visit to Kulture. Open Table restaurant reservation via credit card. Free parking available in safe Avenida North paid parking garage with validated 2 hour parking. 5/5 Only a handful of vehicles were there. Upon arrival to the perfectly placed prime real estate location near Daikon Stadium, Discovery Green, and GRB Convention Center is this jewel on the first floor with floor to ceiling windows, stage, medium sized clean restaurant, bar, comfortable seating with patio seating included, and an upper loft with seating available. 5/5 Great music plays during the visit. People started coming in so noise level was perfect during our visit. Friendly knowledgeable staff assist you throughout your visit. 5/5 Complimentary biscuits, butter, and jam are served. Biscuits were my least fav 2/5. They just didn't have that buttery, fluffy, flaky pizazz I'm accustomed too. Yet, they were still tasty. This was a special After Christmas brunch menu, in addition, to the regular reasonably priced menu. 20% gratuity added to all checks. Arrived upon opening, so entrees were served immediately. Substitutions are allowed. Ordered oxtails, Gouda Mac and cheese, fried chicken whipped sweet potatoes, collards, with a biscuit that came with the meal. 5/5. Collard had perfectly seasoned potlikker, smooth sweet potato puree, and the hottest (nit spice level) chicken I used a fork to cut since I burned my fingers. This is a great restaurant.

This place was very decent to me and I truly mean that because I wouldn't necessarily say it was that great or amazing but it wasn't bad either. I did like the overall aesthetic of the place. It was definitely nicely and intentionally decorated, and that was clear to see. They also played some light music so it's not somewhere where you can't hear the other person that you're talking to because they're blasting music, but there is still music. However, the food to me though it was pretty good, it wasn't amazing. It was nothing really to write home about. I got the omelette and I got a side and even with getting an additional side, I still just don't feel like it really filled me up. I also felt like the service was just OK. Our server wasn't mean but he wasn't particularly friendly either and the brunch hours are pretty limited considering it closes completely down at 4:30 so definitely not somewhere to go for any sort of late brunch experience and it's not a brunch party by any means. I don't think I feel a strong desire to come back here, but I wouldn't mind at the same time, it just again was nothing to write home about.

I have beem trying to get to Kulture for a while now but havent had luck in the past getting reservations in the past...that changed this week. I made reservations through OpenTable. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waiter soon after. I ordered the fried catfish and substituted the grits for mac n cheese. The catfish was crispy. The sauce was a great addition along with the crab meat and shrimp! What I didnt care for was the mac n cheese...the cheese sauce was soupy and didnt attach to the noodles. Overall great dish. Pro Tip: The restaurant will validated your parking up to 2 hours. But only if you park in the Marriott's self parking lot off on Rusk St.

Overall three stars with five star potential. I arrived after what I assume was the brunch rush on a Saturday @ 5PM. There was only one other table occupied. Unfortunately they were sold out of popular items like the oxtails which my Mothers was really looking forward to. The lemon pepper wings were great. Very hot and fresh. The catfish strips were yummy although I had to ask three times for hot sauce, lemon and tartar sauce. They only have Crystal hot sauce and I prefer Louisiana. The drinks were delicious but could've been stronger. I had an espresso martini with Don Julio reposado my sister had the lemon drop and my other sister had a margarita. My mother doesn't drink, but they did make her a nice mocktail, which I thought was wonderful. It should be advertised. Our bartender/server was amazing. I don't remember her name, but she had a gorgeous smile and long braids. She definitely catered to us. It made me feel special on my birthday. I would go back when they have a live performance or earlier for brunch. I was surprised how small the restaurant is. I definitely thought it was larger. It almost look like they could fit more tables in there. Two things I think they could work on immediately - the menus look dirty, tattered and old although I understand due to frequency of use they might not be. I would laminate menus or provide QR codes. Also.. the mirrors in the women's restroom are ridiculous. They are all frosted with a design. You cannot see yourself clearly in the mirror above the sink or the full length body mirror and l've never seen that in any restaurant but I noticed they have this design behind the bottle selection at the back of the bar. I would replace these mirrors immediately.

Finding parking at Kulture can be a bit tricky, but the restaurant offers a voucher for up to 2 hours of free parking in the Marriott garage, which is an excellent perk once you figure it out. We could only get that information by calling the restaurant in advance! (You've been warned!) Walking in, the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, with cultural influences woven into the decor, from the artwork to the furniture. The space feels intentional, with nods to heritage and history that set the tone for a memorable dining experience. I loved it so much that I had to get a few photos in! The FOOD: I ordered the seared salmon, which came with chimichurri bearnaise, seared shrimp, lump crab, charred broccolini, garlic, olive, brown butter, and mac and cheese on the side. The salmon had a beautifully crisp sear, and the chimichurri bearnaise added a creamy yet herby contrast. The lump crab and shrimp made it feel indulgent, and the mac and cheese was a solid comfort side. I don't know what cheeses they used, but it definitely was multiple and super well mixed for a deliciously creamy mac and cheese. (I know I'm lactose-intolerant, but I couldn't help myself. Not every place serves **clears throat** mac and cheese the way it's supposed to be made. I also tasted some of what my table ordered: Grilled peri-peri lamb chops, which were cooked beautifully with a balsamic red wine reduction and paired with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, grits, and collard greens. The lamb was flavorful and tender and the sides were rich and well season. I have to give it to every side dish...they were all well-seasoned! Also, the roasted half chicken was super juicy with an oven-roasted chicken jus, glazed onions, and mashed potatoes. A truly comforting and well-balanced dish. It gave me the 'itis! IYKYK The buttermilk biscuits were a must-try, served with butter, grape jam, and honey. I didn't care for the honey; the butter was rich, and the blueberry jam was incredibly fresh, packed with real chunks of blueberries. Yummy yum yum. I had a mojito with lemonade instead of club soda (since I'm not a fan of club soda). It had potential, but it felt a little watered down... Still refreshing, but not as bold as I'd hoped. The service was outstanding. Our server was so very full of personality, cracking jokes and keeping the energy lively. It made for an experience filled with laughter, great food, and full bellies! (Even though we definitely try to suck it in). Lol. We were so very full, that we did not eat dessert. We just packed our to-go plates and sat in our chairs. Haha. When it hit 7:00 p.m., a DJ came and omg... It was a party! He played all the old-school '90s and '80s music that leaves you feeling so good and calm and groovy. We loved every minute. We actually stayed half an hour later than we intended because of the music alone! Lol. I had really high expectations for culture, and it absolutely delivered. The food was flavorful, the ambiance was chic and culturally rich, and their service improved our experience. Despite the slight parking confusion and the underwhelming mojito, it's definitely a restaurant worth visiting repeatedly! Let's be real...those are minor inconveniences. The cuisine and music were more than enough!

I had a solid afternoon meal at Kulture. Christina, our server, was super sweet and really on top of things, even while juggling a big table along with us. Management even stopped by a few times to check in, which I thought was a nice touch. The food started strong, the complimentary biscuits were amazing, and the menu has a soulful flair that I really enjoyed. The fried chicken, collard greens, and grits were all very good. I also tried the fried catfish over grits, and that one missed the mark for me. The grits made the fish soggy and the catfish itself didn't have much flavor. I don't think that dish reflects the rest of the menu though, and I'd definitely come back to try more. If I had to nitpick, the kitchen was a bit slow and the DJ was cranking the volume a little high for 12:30 in the afternoon. Still, I'd say check Kulture out for yourself, I think it's worth the visit.

Read so much about Kulture that I had to try it. Stopped in for Sunday brunch to try their signature Shrimp and Grits. Wonderful presentation. I haven't had grits in years and this was excellent. Shrimp was just rights and tasty. Only downside was getting four shrimps...not quite enough for the price of the plate. Service was very friendly and my waitress was attentive and checked on me. Next time I may go back to try other dishes.

    Ask the Community - Kulture

Is "kulture" a misspelling of culture?

I think it was purposely spelled that way to stand out. Its a black owned establishment. (Only thought I'd mention that ,given the K was asked about)

    Is brunch child friendly?

It is child friendly there...a nice place with indoor and outdoor seating as you like.

    Can I make a reservation?

No, not right now. They are not officially re-opened. They are just doing some pop-ups and soft-opening hours. You CAN make reservations for the Black Chef Table events that they are hosting, though.

Is there a wait with reservation?

Sometimes. It's difficult to make people leave who were there before you. However, there is a bar and waiting area.

Is there still live music on Fridays and what time?

    Yes

Is there a line like BK? Should/can I make reservations?

You should make a reservation. Especially if you going on the weekend and during peak hours.

What is the best night of the week for good sized crowd and live music?

    Friday

Is this owned by the same guy that owns The Breakfast Klub?

    It is.

We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

We began the night with a complimentary celebratory champagne toast. We each ordered cocktails. I had the Stirred Strawberry Margarita! We also ended the night with Grasshoppers and Carajillos. The menu we had is their Spring 2026 menu. We began with oysters and ordered them all types of ways. I ordered the Short Rib Ravioli. My mom ordered the Crab Rice. My dad ordered the Dry-Aged Duck. My husband ordered the Hanger Steak with a twice baked potato. The sides we ordered were Creamed Spinach and Crispy Potato Wedges. For dessert we ordered the Baked Alaska with carrot cake ice cream and cream cheese, it was amazing! I can't wait to go back! The attention to detail is amazing! The restaurant can be a little loud when it's super busy so keep that in mind if you're looking for something a little quieter. The building itself is really cute inside! Thank you for everything Bludorn!

The restaurant itself is beautiful, especially during brunch with all the natural lighting coming through the indoor space. Such a lovely atmosphere with plants surrounding us. The food was amazing, and sharing appetizers was the perfect way to try a few different things. They also have a huge wine selection, which I really enjoyed. I tried their pizza paired with wine, and honestly, it was the perfect combination. The service was also excellent, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made the experience even better without feeling rushed. They even asked if we wanted to help to get our picture taken, that was so sweet of them.

I arrived about an hour before closing, expecting it to be quiet, but at 9:00 p.m. it was still bustling with energy, laughter, and that soft glow that makes everything feel a little more special. I ordered the pork chop and swapped the carrots for broccolini. The pork chop had a beautiful char and was full of flavor--slightly undercooked, yes, but still delicious enough to carry the whole meal. I do wish they had mashed potatoes on the menu, though... it would have made it perfect. We also shared the Brussels sprouts, and sadly, they missed the mark this time. Dry and bitter, nothing like the saucy, flavorful version I've had before--maybe just the late hour catching up with the kitchen. But even so, that pork chop... it lingered in the best way. And sometimes, that's all you need.

State of Grace is an upscale restaurant in which the price and decor scream "let's get dressed up,"…read morebut you are in Houston, so a lot of people were in jeans. There were also a lot of families, which was cute, although I personally am not buying my daughter $16 fries. Our waitress was personable and made great suggestions, especially regarding mocktails. This is important for non-drinkers because there are no mocktails on the drink menu, but the bartender will craft something you will like. Even my friend who normally avoids mocktails was very impressed. Apps: Crab Hushpuppies - 10/10: Crunchy, crabby, and came with a fantastic honey butter sauce. Caviar Tater Tots - 6/10: Well done -- they literally whipped the potato on the inside -- but at $37, you are paying more for the caviar, which was missing that fresh, creamy saltiness you normally seek. You also only get 4 tots. I would just get two orders of the crab hushpuppies. Mains: Chicken - 10/10: The truffle sauce was dreamy, and I think they could sell it on the streets. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the dish also came with flaked truffles on top. I normally do not order chicken out, but this dish makes me wonder what I've been missing. Lobster fettuccini - 7/10: I don't think this is the dish to get here. The lobster didn't taste the freshest, and it also didn't have a lot of lobster to begin with. The sauce was well done and clearly made with lobster stock. I would come back, but there are dishes that shine much brighter than others.

Extremely kind service from the hosts through the entire team. The best balance of conversational and storytelling without being overbearing. We never felt rushed and they made the experience feel personal, and felt we truly got to know the restaurant and reasoning behind a few of the dishes just through their excitement. We ordered coffees along with the crab hush puppies, gumbo, avocado toast, and ended with their massive cinnamon roll. It was the perfect spread and everything was so flavorful! (My only critique was I wish the cinnamon roll was warmed up and served with a bit more icing). The interior was fabulous with an amazing aroma. I would highly recommend for anywhere from an intimate date to a group brunch! Beautiful bar as well, I cannot wait to come again another night for dinner. Upon exit, we were also departed with a complimentary cookie - super cute touch!

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

I think this is one place that I would trust to go out of my comfort zone on food and everything will be phenomenal.
