IMMEDIATELY YES!!!! I have added this to my restaurant rotation and am saddened it's such a drive out for me. I came by for dinner with friends and we left sooooo happy. They do offer a happy hour so I would recommend coming during that time! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and we did make a reservation in advance, when we came on a Friday night, this place was packed and even w/ the reservation, it still took up ~15 mins to be seated. There's free street parking all around Kulturas which you will more than likely end up parking at since their parking lot is tiny. Mango + Pomegranate Soft Serve Margarita (w/ chamoy) 5/5, ohmygod YES!!!!! (The chamoy is a $0.99 uncharge.) This came out sweet, icy, and the perfect cooldown drink for a hot evening. I've seen some reports on social media that their margaritas did not come out looking like how ours did so yes that would be disappointing if that was the case for them but I am grateful ours came out well Birria tacos 5/5, slam dunk omg, soft, juicy, tender, well seasoned, overall complete chef's kiss I look forward to coming back to Kulturas many a time over!!
I've been here twice. Once with friends and once with family. For parking, they do have a small parking lot. However, there's plenty of parking spots nearby in the neighborhood. It's a great spot if you want to have drinks and some chips and salsa or some yummy foods. I haven't been back for their happy hour or specials, but it sounds like a good deal. I've been recommending this place because of their soft serve margaritas. I enjoyed their soft serve margaritas, but depending on the night, they might be out of flavors. In one of the experiences on a Friday night, my friend wanted to order a flight, but they only had two flavors. In addition, my soft serve margarita was a little watery and they didn't have the edible sprinkles like I had last time. The food is pretty good too, but I did find it on the pricier end. The restaurant is beautiful with murals outside and they had a ton of TVs and tables for visitors. I did don't that it was really loud inside so it was a little hard to talk to other guests. The last experience that I had on a Friday night, it was a little slower and the service was unfortunately impacted. I had to request for the server to come around a few times because I was missing my drink and the chips and salsa. I would still recommend this place and enjoy the food and drink drinks. However, I did find it a little inconsistent.
I have only been here for Happy Hour so I can't comment on non Happy Hour times but damn the value is there. $5 draft beers, $10 margaritas and soft serves. They also have $8 appetizers which my go to is their carne asada fries. Service has always been friendly when we come.
Amazing food and service, the food came out pretty quickly as well! We came for the soft serve but loved the food here even more! Excited to return.
At this point, I couldn't even tell you everything we ordered--but that's what photos are for, right? The atmosphere completely stole the show. It felt like I had been transported to a lively little town in Mexico. The live band doesn't just perform in the background--they come right up to your table, making it feel like your own mini concert. It's energetic, immersive, and honestly part of what makes this place so memorable. Fair warning: It is pretty loud, so maybe not the best spot for catching up over lunch. But if you're here to soak up the festive vibes, enjoy good food, and have a genuinely fun time, this place absolutely delivers.
$10 margs and $2 tacos This was our first time at Kultura's and definitely won't be our last. The margs were so potent that I only needed one (rare lol). The tacos were so good, I got the asada and the pastor with the topping and sauce bar which was such a nice touch. We went on a Tuesday and it was pretty crowded, so you know this place is good! 10/10 would recommend
i have been to kulturas twice now & i do have to say that my first time experience was way better than my second experience which was last night. i seen on tik tok that kulturas came out with their fall pumpkin soft serve margaritas, it looked so good i wanted to take my friend out for a treat! i booked a reservation on yelp a day before & honestly there was no point in making a reservation because they didn't even check the system or nothing. we were sat at our table immediately which was nice. Uhm, in my defense i didn't know that on the week days they close at 11 so just an FYI. our waitress was nice however, i felt SOO RUSHED. the ambiance wasn't enjoyable because the guys at the bar was obnoxiously so loud screaming and yelling at the tv while everyone else in the restaurant can't even hear the person across from the table. I'm not sure why it took a long time to make our soft serve margaritas. We ordered two and they only brought one so then we had to wait another 5-10 mins for my friend soft serve. the service last night was not good at all. when they finally brought over my friend soft serve, the soft serve itself was THICK so when my friend started to eat more of the soft serve it LITERALLY started falling apart. Half of the soft serve fell on the table, which created a big unenjoyable mess. (In the photo shown is MY soft serve not my friends. I didn't take a photo of the mess) This was NOT how i thought things were gonna go when i wanted to treat my friend to soft serve margaritas. btw, WHERE is the margarita IN the soft serve? because in my & my friend opinion, there was no taste of alcohol it was just mostly ice cream. i ate all of mine and felt nothing so we ended up getting a margarita flight on the rocks. those were good & actually had some liquor in it. My friend and I ordered their carne asada fries appetizers to share and honestly, for a Mexican restaurant I was really disappointed on how the carne asada meat was cooked. whoever was the cook last night CLEARLY wanted everyone outta here. Half azz cooking with hard chewy meat. i ended up eating around the meat and just eat the fries which defeats the purpose of ordering a carne asada fries. my friend & i also ordered 1 taco each. i got the pollo chicken taco & my friend got the carne asada tacos. Again, even the chicken was not enjoyable to chew. it was lazy cooking last night. I understand that everyone wants to go home but if I booked my reservation at 9:30 show up on time & you guys close at 11 then why is everyone rushing? You still got an hour or so left. my friend couldn't even finish her taco, she had to tell one of the waiters that came up to our table asking if she's done with eating her taco & she's like no I'm still eating it. like bro, it's only 1030 what's your problem? like the people working last night were nice but the whole thing irritated me. My first experience at kulturas was not like this and if it was I wouldn't have came back the second time. I'm really disappointed at my second experience here at kulturas which is why I won't be coming back for a third time. Kulturas is just a copy version of kalavera.
We came here for business lunch for celebration. A super big party that took almost half of the restaurant. We got prompt service. The restaurant has great decor and a nice and friendly ambience. The menu has a variety of choices and PLENTY of drinks. Since it's working hours, I only had a mocktail. I saw my other coworkers had some alcoholic drinks. There is a plethora of food choices, burrito bowl, salad, fajitas, tacos with protein choices. I decided to have their Kalbi burrito which has both the beef and shrimp protein. The side is plantains. My mocktail is sweet which offset the chimichurri sauce. I could only finish half of my lunch. Got leftover for dinner. I know Kulturas has very good happy hour too! Come here and try their margaritas
Very tasty tacos! I enjoyed the little condiment bar, their avocado and green salsa were delicious. We went for taco Tuesday which was a great deal, about $2 for a taco. I think I ate 5.... Probably too many drinks were strong too I would definitely try the guava pineapple margarita again.
I came here Saturday night with my best friend and husband to celebrate my bestie's birthday! We knew coming on a Saturday would be risky as it could pose a long wait. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be an hour and a half, but we sucked it up since we didn't have a reservation. Luckily, we only waited about 45 minutes! We're thinking a lot of people that put their name down didn't and up waiting so we got pushed up the list! However, when we were seated, our service wasn't the best :( don't get me wrong, our server was nice but she didn't check up on us or any of the orders she placed. She got my best friend's drink wrong even after correcting her. She ordered a Malibu & coke and our server repeated back "Mexican coke" and we immediately corrected her. However, after about 15 minutes of waiting, only my best friend's drink arrived and they brought her a Coca Cola bottle lol. My drink was completely forgotten about and we had to remind our server. I didn't want to continue reminding our server as it was quite busy and I had assumed maybe things were just taking much longer than anticipated. However, our entrees came out before our appetizer! We ordered the nachos and they never came up. I was pretty bummed out because I ordered the ceviche as my entree to balance out the heaviness from the nachos but they never came :( After all of that, I didn't really want to order anymore drinks because of how long mine took and how my best friend's drink got messed up . But I really wanted to try the soft serve flight. Sad. However, I will say the ambiance is nice. There's a party-like vibe and we had live performers our night singing Latin music. I definitely want to try this spot one more time maybe on a weekday to see if it maybe it was just a bad day for us, but I'm hoping we get a better experience!
Upon entering I noticed this place was busy that night, however my party was able to be seated quickly for the reservation that we had made. Service 1/5 I understand that it might've been slammed that night; but my party had been sitting at our table for over 1.5h, fixed a whole car, and witnessed the fire department/PD clean up a car accident at the intersection, and still had not received our food. There was no refilling of chips as we waited and minimal checking in and communication. Food 1/5 After waiting being at the restaurant for almost 2 hours with no food, our food came cold. I ordered 2 tacos, both of which were very disappointing. The tortillas tasted like they were grocery store bought as they were dry and lacked flavor. The meat was also super bland and cold. Drinks 3/5 Ordered soft serve margaritas . The consistency was super smooth and felt like ice cream which is nice, but you can expect minimal alcohol taste or feel. The strawberry flavor tasted slightly medicinal. They said the mango was going to take a 20 minute wait. Had we known we were going to be there for 2 hours we would've also ordered it. Parking: Free small lot in the back, street parking on the side. Overall the hype of the soft serve margaritas is not enough for me to come back.
Oh darn.... I didn't think I would have to write this kind of review but this is one of a kind. Came here at 8 PM and didn't get served till 10 PM. I saw a whole car crash happen in front of me from beginning till end (the whole scene was completed and cleaned up) and also had to call triple A to come and fix my friends tire since it was flat. All of that happened AND the food still hadn't come yet. We were sitting here for over and half for like 2 tacos and 1 enchilada. When the food finally came though... I took a bite of the Enchilada and it was literally cold. The shrimp was cold. I just couldn't be here anymore to continue eating. At first, this place was really cool and I liked the soft serve margaritas and I was like dang this place is super cool vibes. The food and waiting time was what killed me. Don't get me wrong, I think the food CAN be really good, but the fact I ate a piece of cold shrimp, it ruined my mood completely. Idk if I should recommend this place or not, but be aware of the waiting time.
This place is awesome!!!. All the employees here are always smiling & you are Greeted at the entrance everything. The first time l walked it was good & positive vibes.
This is a fun, high-energy brunch spot with loud music and a lively crowd. The atmosphere almost feels like a daytime party, especially on weekends. The menu has a great mix of Mexican classics and brunch favorites, and the drinks are a highlight. it's a great spot if you're looking for a social brunch with friends. Waiter was amazing and gave us great recommendations. read more

One of the most unique things I tried was the pozole taco, which somehow captured all the flavor of traditional pozole in taco form. It was creative and absolutely delicious. I also had the enchiladas de mole and a chile relleno. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the mole sauce had a great balance of sweetness and spice without being overwhelming. The chile relleno was just as impressive, filled with perfectly melted cheese and topped with a flavorful sauce that tied everything together really well. We also ordered the three quesabirria tacos and asked for them extra crispy, which turned out to be a great choice. They had the perfect crunch and were packed with flavor. On top of that, the pasta a la diabla with shrimp was cooked really well. The shrimp were tender, and the noodles were coated in a rich, delicious sauce that had just the right amount of heat. read more

From the moment I began planning my celebration, Cristina went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made me feel so supported throughout the entire process. The entire team--every waiter and waitress--was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. You can truly feel the heart behind their service. The food and drinks were exceptional--everything was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and enjoyed by all of my guests. And the mariachi... such a beautiful and special touch. It brought so much joy, energy, and cultural richness to the celebration--truly elevating the entire experience. Most importantly, the overall experience created a space where I, along with my friends and chosen family, was able to celebrate in such a meaningful and joyful way. It was more than just a meal--it was a moment I will never forget. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration an unforgettable, truly epic one. I am beyond grateful read more

Spring Gardens... how I miss you. If you know, you know. This spot has changed hands a few times over the years, but I figured I'd give the current version a shot. We showed up on a Thursday night and were surprised to find out it was karaoke night, definitely not the vibe we were expecting, so we opted to sit outside. The place was moderately busy, but not crowded. Right away, I could tell service was going to be an issue. Within a minute, two different servers asked if we were ready to order, but when I tried to ask a simple question about the menu, I got the same response twice: "corn or flour?" Not exactly helpful. I ended up ordering the birria soup, and my sidekick got the carnitas tacos. Unfortunately, both dishes were disappointing. Everything lacked flavor and tasted like it had been sitting in a slow cooker all day. A real bummer because it took close to 40 minutes to get the food out. It was impressive how nobody wanted to check on us during that time. I'm guessing afraid we'd ask where are food is. Even the salsa lineup was underwhelming. Safe to say, I won't be back... probably for another 20 years. read more

I had such a great first experience here on Sunday for brunch! Our server, Yoselin was really nice, friendly, and such a pleasure to be around. It was so busy but everything came out so fast, our drinks and food! The busser was great too because he got rid of all our empty plates without them being there for so long like at other restaurants. It was really nice that they even had mariachis and just an overall pleasant atmosphere. The food was so good! We had the asada nachos, enchiladas verdes, and 3 different tacos. The margaritas and flights were perfect and you actually get a buzz unlike other restaurants! My friend loved her soft serve margarita. Thank you again for the great hospitality! I live in Vegas but will definitely be back next time I'm in Pasadena. read more

Came here yesterday for their happy hour and wanted to share how good it was. I ordered the queso birria tacos and they were so good! For 7.99 you get 3 tacos, with a good amount of birria in them, and a small consomé. I also ordered a Pacifico draft beer which was only $5. The waitress was super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back to try more of their food. Loved the decor also. read more

After reading reviews and trying this place out, the reviews are very consistent about the service and wait times. And unfortunately that was my experience too. I had a reservation and did get sat pretty quickly, once sat a waitress walked by us several times and made no eye contact nor helped us. About 20 minutes later a waiter appeared and said he was new, and took our order as we had plenty of time just sitting there waiting. 20 minutes later our appetizers arrived, 40 minutes later our margarita soft service flight arrived. Then our food arrived shortly after that. I noticed my flight was missing one flavor and I had two of the same flavor, when I brought it to their attention they said sorry one flavor wasn't working ( some communication would have been nice ). The food was really good, my table shared a dragon roll, ceviche, carne asada, tacos and enchiladas. All the food was very tasty, and the food is definitely the reason I will he back. We sat outside and the ambiance and shade was nice. Small parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking on sierra madre. Overall this place really can be something excellent, but they need to clean up on their service and food and drink wait times. read more

Came here just for the soft serve margarita flight. The ambiance was very lively. They had a mariachi band playing, sports were on TV, easily sat at the bar. Got the complimentary chips and salsa which was good to snack on. Next time I would just get the lime soft serve margarita by itself and I would also like to try food from the menu. Staff was friendly so no complaints. read more

How is this place during sunday lunch? Is it loud?
The ambiance is lively and welcoming! We have live mariachi inside from 11 AM–2 PM. We also have two quieter patio areas if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.
