From first contact through the end of the event KT was a joy to work with. Our group was 33. It was 100 degrees outside and the AC wasn't working in the pavilion / kitchen where she had to work and set up the buffet - and she never flinched, smiled through it all and made sure everything was just so. Everything was placed out beautifully and tasted as wonderful as it looked. Sorry to say we did not get pics of the dessert, bite size cheesecakes, they were scrumptious and I think disappeared too fast! There may have been some that made it into the fridge after we were done, but they were gone by morning - I'm sure they made some late night conversations even more enjoyable. The place we were at for the retreat was Bishops Ranch in Healdsburg and our group was responsible for the cleanup and had designated volunteers. However, the team walked into the pavilion and kitchen well after dessert and great conversations and everything was not only cleaned up, but leftovers wrapped and put away for people to take home the next day. It was cleaner than when we arrived. That was truly an extra gift she gave us especially given the heat, cramped kitchen and no AC...she was amazing. AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!! And at great prices. We were a group of friends spending a long weekend in a rental home in Bodega Bay. I wanted easy drop-off catering that would be fresh & delicious. KT was communicative and so helpful in making my menu selections. She was lovely to work with, and payment and delivery were so easy. But the best part: THE FOOD We absolutely loved everything she prepared for us. We almost fought over the last slice of quiche! I wish I'd ordered two of those. We had beef stew with polenta which was fantastic, an amazing mac n cheese, and delicious shepherd's pie. She also made us a beautiful (enormous!) cheese platter and a chicken provencal with quinoa. We also had two fresh salads with interesting toppings and tasty homemade dressing. For dessert, we had an incredible pear tart with whipped yogurt and mini cheesecake bites. I rented a house at Dillon Beach near Bodega Bay to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday with 12 of her friends. I wanted a special dinner for everyone to enjoy after a full day of outdoor fun. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food prepared by KT. I ordered two different soups and two different salads and beef Bourgogne and seafood paella, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus, and a berry crisp to complement the birthday cake. She brought everything to the house and explained with detailed instructions how to heat up each plate in a timely manner. The dinner was absolutely delicious and everyone was so impressed. The consensus is that the favorite dishes were the paella and the beet salad. I also ordered two quiches for next morning's breakfast. Also delicious! I highly recommend KT as she is an amazing chef and also very easy to work with. There were a few uncertainties and changes on my end, but she worked with me every step of the way. Amazing experience! Chef KT is very talented and has a great personality. We hired her to make dinner for a group of 20 guests in a home we rented in Geyserville. KT was on time, well prepared and served us an amazing feast that impressed everyone in the group. What I also like to compliment her on, is helping us create a 3 course menu that was perfect for us. KT was very collaborative, we worked together to craft a unique menu for my group who had a few dietary restrictions - she gave thoughtful recommendations and was happy to adjust as needed. KT has catered a number of events for me over the past many years. I have always enjoyed her cooking, but I've never been more pleased and thankful for her culinary expertise than this dreadful 2020 year, when I hired her to cater an important birthday milestone and our family Christmas dinner. All I can say is WOW. For the birthday dinner in July, KT prepared and delivered a Provençal paella, which was one of the most authentic and delicious paellas I have had outside of Spain. Then in December, I made the wise decision to leave our Xmas meal to KT and she delivered a well rounded, traditional Xmas meal and turkey with all of the fixings. I was a first time bride with no wedding planner, and KT went above and beyond to give me ideas, organize the rentals, and most of all planned and executed an amazing luncheon for 55 guests. KT was very accommodating for meeting on the weekends as I lived out of town, and she organized a fantastic tasting a month before the event. To celebrate my wife's birthday, we rented a house in Stinson Beach and threw party for about 15 adults. The realtor company recommended KT's Kitchen for the event and we could not have been happier. After a few e-mails and a phone call, we settled on the menu and Catherine handled everything from there. She organized and brought rentals and bought flowers for decorations. Her staff made sure guests had plenty of hors d'oeuvres and that the wine kept flowing. I even called her at the last minute because I needed a cake for the afternoon after the event and she picked one up for me while she was shopping for the evening's ingredients. Catherine arranged for and her staff arrived on time, and when my guests were late (pushing the timing of the event back almost 90 minutes), she and her staff graciously agreed to extend the evening. Finally, the food was excellent and they left the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived. A good time was had by all! read more

Based on the recommendation of a friend, I hired KT's Kitchen to cook for my partner's surprise 50th birthday party in early May at Stinson Beach. Really glad that I did. From the first email inquiry, Catherine, the owner, was ON IT with flexible menu options and other little suggestions to make the late afternoon party festive. Her quote was reasonable (mid $500s) for 12-14 people and included 2 or 3 appetizers, a delicious, refreshing citrus punch, and a gorgeous main course of beef bourguignon (plus an additional vegetarian option). She loaned us tables, chairs and linen at no charge. She provided a server (at a very reasonable additional fee) who stayed with us from beginning to end (Catherine was there for the first half of the party to insure everything was prepared and in order and then had to leave for another event). The lovely woman who stayed to wait on us was charming and attentive, but not hovering. What I appreciated most was that she handled the bulk of the cleanup so that all of us could just focus on having a good time. Throughout the planning and on the day of the event, Catherine was so very sweet and patient and accommodating. The head count changed at the last minute, no problem. The guest-of-honor was an hour late, no problem. She and her staff just went with the flow. I'm giving KT's Kitchen 5 stars for excellent customer service and a wonderful experience we're all going to remember for a long, long time. My partner especially felt like a king that day, which is exactly the mood I was trying to set. (I will say that a few people were a little underwhelmed with the beef dish. I enjoyed it, so it may be a matter of personal taste or menu selection - which was my call, not hers. Then again, they may know something about how the dish should ideally taste that I do not.) Instead of taking responsibility and owning up to being late, she blames the wedding coordinator for being disorganized! Dinner was also late being served because KT left some of the food in Stinson Beach. Is that the wedding coordinator's fault too? We did discuss at the tasting that KT's staff would cut and serve the cake. KT does not remember that and then says it was not her responsibility. With respect to "cutting corners": We hired 4 servers for 6 hours. KT is the one who wanted to change the contract less than ONE WEEK prior to the wedding to hire 4 servers for 4 hours to try to save us money. I insisted that I wanted to PAY MORE MONEY to have the full staff for more time in 6 hours. How is that "cutting corners"? This just reinforces what poor memory, communication, and sense of responsibility to the client she has. It's great that all the other reviews are so glowingly positive. Katherine and her team radiate competence and good cheer, with delicious cooking to match. The halibut entree for one night was perfect and the full menu for the second night spectacular. I have only praise for the way everything was executed from the venue set up, to the delicious appetizers and the excellent main courses, to the serving of the cake and beverages by the completely professional and gracious staff. We don't normally have catered dinners but my wife and I were celebrating "milestone" birthdays and decided to treat ourselves. And what a treat it was to have such wonderful food prepared and served to our invited guests by Catherine and Emma of KT's Kitchen. The day of the party was relaxed because we had been relieved of so much work. The food was wonderful. We selected Vietnamese vegetable rolls with dip and mushroom almond pate with crostinis to be served while everyone mingled and sipped wine before the meal. We opted for two main dishes, a delicious Provencal chicken and the best meatloaf ever with fresh tomato coulis. I could go on with all the details of every but the bottom line is that every course was beautifully-prepared from the freshest ingredients, and delicious. Catherine and Emma were such a cheerful pleasure to have in our home, helping so much with our special evening. Catherine had been to the farmers' market to get all the veggies fresh and she also brought our favorite branch of local Marin County bread.
