Sonoma County Catering - Wedding Cocktail Hour - Caterers Near Me

I wish I could give them 10 stars. Heather and her team were absolutely flawless. She was always available for questions and answered every single one honestly and straight forward which is so refreshing when planning a wedding. I still to this day receive compliments in regards to the food from our wedding, it was divine. Not only was the food incredible, her staff were just unreal. They were incredibly attentive, efficient, on time, knew when to kind of be out of the way and were ready to jump in. Story time...my mom had this beautiful cream colored coat and one of our wonderful and rambunctious guests accidentally spilled an entire glass of red wine on her coat. One of the catering staff saw this happen and didn't even skip a beat. She came over and grabbed the coat, took it into the bathroom and got the entire stain out before she even knew it happened. They were so polite and I just can't say enough about them. They are worth every penny and were far more reasonable than some of the other vendors we were being pointed to. read more

We recently hired Sonoma County Catering for our vow renewal celebration, and they exceeded every expectation! From the very beginning, their team was attentive, professional, and such a pleasure to work with. They didn't just provide phenomenal food (the Mexican buffet was absolutely delicious and the homemade Churros with Carmel sauce was a Big Hit! (Our guests are still raving about it!), but they also handled every detail with care, including setting up tables, chairs, and providing a full staff along with an outstanding bartender and Fernando was there managing and overseeing and making sure everything was going smoothly. He was a big help with keeping everything on schedule! What really stood out was how seamless and stress-free they made the entire evening for us. Their staff was warm, attentive, and always one step ahead, ensuring everything flowed perfectly so we could truly enjoy our special day. We are beyond grateful and can't recommend Sonoma County Catering enough for any special event. If you're looking for exceptional service and food that will wow your guests, look no further! From the chef to the caterers to the bartenders to the waitstaff, I don't know who was more amazing to work with. My sister recently had a wedding at Flying Cloud. Due to COVID restrictions, the Sonoma County Catering had to move the bar from inside, where there was a bar all setup, to outside, which was a lot of work for them to do. They set everything up beautifully, with no complaints. The entire event, everyone was so friendly and warm and wonderful to talk to. They worked so hard to make sure the event went off without a hitch. Fernando and Julio were incredible and friendly. My four year old son befriended them and they were so loving to him when they saw him crying and gave him a mint to make him feel better. They also were wonderful about saving the cake many times from my son's wandering little fingers that wanted to try it. But let's not forget about the food-- to say it was incredible would be an understatement. I have never tasted a better chicken marsala and I am not sure how they kept everything warm and delicious for every single table for 90 people. Everything was beautifully presented and served. It has been a couple of weeks since the wedding, and anytime I talk to wedding guests that had been there, they are still talking about how delicious the food was. Beautifully presented and incredibly cooked. Fernando, Julio, Cesar and the rest of the catering staff: You outdid yourselves! Thank you for cooking from your heart and for being such amazing people. read more

Our wedding was the best day ever and that was a big thanks to the SCC team! I work in the food industry and it was SO important for me to have good food at my wedding. The SCC team really listened to us and understood what we wanted. They worked with us to customize our dinner menu and it was executed flawlessly. I'm not kidding, my family is full of food critics and they all went out of their way to tell us how amazing the food was! We couldn't agree more! DELICIOUS! Thank you again to SCC! Shout out to Heather, Fernando, and the team. You guys crushed it and we are so grateful!! read more

We used Sonoma County Catering for my wedding and OH MY GOODNESS. It is not an over exaggeration to state that all of our guests made comments about how amazing all of our food was from the appetizers to our buffet style dinner and ending with dessert. One of our guests even search for the chef to ask them how they made the loaded smashed potatoes. The 5 star rating for this business is well deserved. Excellent service, amazing communication up to our big day, and most important, the food was amazing and rememberable. Thank you! read more

I was looking for a local caterer for my birthday party of about 40 on our outside deck at home - Covid times. I looked online and Sonoma County Catering appealed to us with its offerings, testimonials and the responsiveness of their staff on the phone. They were flexible, helpful and guided us in ordering just the right spread. The food delivery was on time, professional and everything was so fresh and delicious. The pricing was fair and competitive, too. And they gave us some extra food and all necessary serving pieces. Thank you, Sonoma County Catering - now our local caterers for our parties! read more

We booked Sonoma County Catering for our wedding. Our venue was a family ranch in which no real kitchen was available for our caterers. I have to begin by saying that Heather (with whom we were in most contact) was amazing. She was easily reachable, quickly responsive, and answered the many questions I had about eveerryything. She helped us figure out exactly what is was that we wanted for our big day. From the style of catering, the counts of all rentals, the number of servers, how to distribute wine, to literary what coffee mugs we wanted. She also ensured that our contract remained up-to-date and transparent on all the pricing. A total professional. Fernando was who we spoke to during our venue walk-through and who handled everything on our big day, I imagine he was the head chef. He and his family were so incredibly kind not only to us but also to take-downall of our families and guests as he walked around our guest tables ensuring they weren't missing anything and their thoughts on the food. Throughout the night he was attentive to our needs as the bride and groom, but also made sure all of our other vendors got their hot meals while the rest of our guests ate, made sure our timeline ran smoothly (as his servers distributed the champagne, brought out the desserts, set up our cake, ect.) AND his entire team was essential to our setup and take down process. I cannot say enough about Fernando and his team. Not to mention the food itself! Many many guests came to us to compliment our catering choice. From the appetizers passed during cocktail hour all the way down to the desserts set up beautifully at a designed dessert table along with our cake (made by someone else) and coffee/tea station. 10/10! In our opinion, Sonoma County Catering gets a 5-star rating for their food and service independently. read more

Sonoma County Catering catered food for the Tour de Fuzz Bike Ride on Saturday, Aug 31st and they absolutely rocked the food. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the pesto pasta with lots of veggies. They had 6 huge lines for hours and the food kept being stocked the entire time. They were feeding hungry bike riders who had finished long bike rides and they were absolutely prepared. Well done! Thanks for adding to a great day at The Fuzz ride!!!! read more

I had the pleasure of attending tasting food from Sonoma County Catering while attending a taping of a Food Network Show. We met Caesar and his staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. It was recommend that we try a little bit of everything. I was given a nicely plated spicy spaghetti with meatball, corn succotash, anti pasta salad, Caesar salad, pork loin, pesto tortellini, and focaccia bread. The spicy spaghetti had just the right amount of spice to elevate a very traditional dish. The meat ball was huge, cooked perfectly, moist, and seasoned to perfection. The corn succotash was refreshing and very tasty. The richness of the dish was balanced by the anti-pasta and Caesar salad which was full of local fresh produce. The pork loin was tender, moist, and paired with a pear gravy. The pesto tortellini wasn't over powered with pesto and tossed in a light Alfredo sauce which was great to dip the artichoke focaccia bread. Overall some of the best catering food I've ever had out of a mobile kitchen. read more

Sonoma County Catering blew me away every step of the way. My husband and I had to reschedule our wedding 3 times and change locations due to COVID so we were hunting for a catering company for a Saturday summer wedding 3 months before the wedding day, therefore our options were very limited as most companies were booked up. Although Sonoma County Catering was pretty much our only option, we lucked out they were available! The food was INCREDIBLE. I've gone to many weddings and the food was 'ok' here, Cesar really makes the food shine. I got so many compliments from all my guests! Not only was the food good, but the service was excellent and truly professional. They provided all the rentals which was great since it makes it a bit more affordable and you have to deal with fewer vendors. Since there were not many reviews and photos online I was slightly concerned about how elegant the reception would look, however, the event looked very put together and they really paid attention to small details. They had nice crates and platters to serve appetizers. They took the box of decorations I provided and displayed them beautifully. I was also really impressed how I only had to mention things once (like we had to move tables and chairs 2x due to the small space ) and even though the event managers changed (worked with Heather to do the initial planning, met with Cesar and Jodi for an initial walkthrough, Fernando handled the reception to closing), everything happened without a hitch. Some words of advice, if your family eats a lot, consider buying some extra meals. We were a wedding of 50 people and bought 5 extra meals and we were so glad we did. Only 2 items ended up running out by the end of the night but people were able to get seconds and were really satisfied. We even got to keep the leftovers which was amazing! If I ever hire a catering company again, hands down will choose them. Photo credits go to: www.laurenfeddersenphotography.com read more

The food isn't always what makes an impression at a wedding, but Sonoma County Catering made ours very memorable. Our guests are still talking about the Coconut Prawns served as an appetizer, as well as the rest of the delicious entrees. Every single dish was fantastic, expertly prepared on-site and of the highest quality. We were also incredibly impressed with just how friendly and helpful the staff was on the day of the wedding. We can enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic caterer! read more

Oh my gosh! You need to use Sonoma County Catering for all of your events. I know that I will be. If I could give ten stars I would. The food was amazing! My husband and I used them to cater our wedding and the food was so delicious and have only heard compliments from our guests. It exceeded all of our expectations. Heather is the person we were in contact with and she was always so prompt to respond to emails and calls. And Cesar and his team are fantastic cooks! The food during the tasting was phenomenal and just as good when cooked for our 120 guests. But not only is the food delicious, it is probably some of the most high quality flavors and presentations I have ever seen. Plus, the staff at our event were great at making sure all of our guests had enough water and seemed to almost blend into the background. It was perfect. I cannot recommend them enough. Please book them for your event if you are having one in Sonoma County. read more

Sonoma County Catering was absolutely amazing. They are on the pricier side, but it's worth every penny! The process was super easy to setup, and of course, the food was amazing. There was not one thing we didn't like, and all of our guests commented on how amazing everything was. Fernando was awesome and made sure that we loved the food and even checked in with a few of the tables to see if they enjoyed it as well. We would absolutely hire this company again ! read more

We ordered Thanksgiving Dinner from Sonoma County Catering based on their write up in Sonoma magazine and it was fabulous! We had a dinner for up to 6 with the best ham I've ever had, honey glaze, mashed Rosemary garlic potatoes, roasted vegetables, rolls, and Caesar salad with homemade croutons; all for a very reasonable $89. We also ordered the extra Charcuterie platter which, while not gourmet, had some nice olives and prosciutto as well as salami and cheeses. We'll definitely use them for other gatherings. read more

Three cheers for Sonoma County Catering! The cuisine at Saturday's bike ride afterparty event, the Tour de Fuzz, was amazing. The smoked pulled pork was heavenly with a delightful BBQ sauce, the chicken was moist and perfectly charred, the sides, including a crispy Caesar Salad (impeccably dressed), outstanding BBQ beans and tangy Mac & Cheese were yummy. The on-site BBQ cooking added to the outdoor party atmosphere. As important, Heather and team made the entire experience seamless and stress-free, handling all the details of feeding 1,500+ guests in a short timeframe. Their staff, including Chef Cesar (who regularly works with celebrity Guy Fieri) were kind and helpful. If you're planning an event of any size, I'd highly recommend Sonoma County Catering. Their prices are competitive, and they took care of every detail - from the most incredible food to the last piece of plate ware. Bravo! read more
