    I hired Chef Adam for a birthday celebration dinner for 9 people. A few days before the dinner, Chef Adam suggested different type of wines to pair with the food. He and his assistant Rob were punctual and brought all silverware and dishes to include flowers for the table. Chef Adam prepared 5 well presented amazing dishes packed with flavors. He also explained every dish as they were being served. The kitchen was left spotless. Thank you Chef for such fantastic food and making our evening so much more memorable! Menu: Ash Roasted Beets, Flatbread, Smoke Butternut Squash Soup, Lamb/Halibut, Sri Lankan Crème Brûlée.

    Adam Small was hired for my bachelorette party. I wasn't part of the hiring process / menu selection, but I was lucky enough to be a recipient of this perfectly executed and delicious meal. Adam and his assistant arrived on time, brought flowers for the tablescape and all their own cutlery and plates. We also did a wine pairing with our meal. Adam plated and served each course, and washed and cleaned everything afterwards. The kitchen was spotless when they left! We had the duck and it was AMAZING. First course: a flatbread with truffle, burrata, pistachios and honey Second course: a salad with fennel, strawberries, and pine nuts Third course: snow pea agnolotti (this was delicious) Fourth course: duck two ways, breast and confit with purple polenta. The duck was amazing - the confit was delicious. The duck breast was the best I've ever had. Sometimes duck breast can be thready because it's cooked rare, but Adam's duck breast was rare and tender Fifth course: a perfectly set creme brûlée with a spicy cinnamon I would not hesitate to hire Adam next time we're in Sonoma. The meal was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the professionalism was top notch (we had some guests dancing on tables and that didn't interrupt the dinner service flow.)

    My friends and total of 8 women got together in May to celebrate our 40th birthday. So to make it special and to treat ourselves we decided to hire a private chef to prepare dinner. I was assigned the task to find someone. I'm so glad I found Adam. He was delightful to work with. He took time to explain to me what the process was like, he asked questions about what kind of food each women liked so he could come up with a custom menu. He was prompt at arriving the day of event at the Airbnb we had rented. He set up the dining table and placed a beautiful bouquet of flowers. We had 7 courses and it was the best food I've had this far. My friends were raving so much about the food. Do yourself a favor and just hire him. These Yelp reviews are legit.     Chef Adam curated an incredible dinner for 6 for a private event and he went above and beyond for the group despite quite challenging food restriction of our guests. He has an amazing followup and followthrough along with very thoughtful paperwork and prep as well as advance prep for the menu and setting clear expectations that got the guests really excited. Chef Adam is incredibly consistent with his plating and the food was served in impeccably beautiful setting. Super grateful to Chef Adam who went above and beyond and highly recommend to private and intimate dinners for special guests.

    Adam came out to our place for a birthday dinner. And I'll start this by saying I don't like most food. Im a super picky eater, but it wasnt my birthday or my menu selection, so when gazpacho was on the menu.. I thought, oh no, I don't like tomatoes or cucumbers. BUT Adam showed up to impress. Not only did i eat my whole bowl, but I finished the left overs as well. Every thing that he created was absolutely delicious. So food wise its a clear choice choose him. He also showed up right on time, he is a one man show, which I know from experience is a huge deal. He brought in everything he needed, made an amazing multi course dinner, packed up while we were still eating and left the place clean. The work it takes to even carry in the things he brought was impressive. The most important part, was he was beyond nice and respectful. He was professional and genuine. He even made a beautiful centerpiece. Im looking forward to hiring him again. Because I absolutely will be doing so.

    I wanted to do something special for my partner's birthday, but really didn't want to go to restaurant with the all the Covid restrictions and automatic service charge for a larger party (10 people). One of my friends recommended Adam Small and I am so glad to have found him. We spoke ahead of time, and he designed an amazing 8 course menu with some unique ingredients that I never heard of! I went for more smaller mains because Adam mentioned so many great dishes and I couldn't decide. 1st course: Fall squash tart with fennel pollen and pomegranate. 2nd course: Aged cheddar hoe cakes with charred tomato jam and black garlic aioli. 3rd course: Market salad with ash roasted onion dressing. 4th course: Ste Jorge mac & cheese with piquillo peppers and anchovy bread crumbs 5th course: Duck confit agnolotti with creamed chick peas and crispy shallots 6th course: Fennel pollen dusted King salmon with caper relish and candied delecata squash 7th course: Balsamic-honey glazed fried chicken with ginger lime-scented sweet potatoes 8th course: Sri Lankan cinnamon creme brulee and banana cream pudding with roasted graham crackers We all felt like we were on the show of Top Chef as Chef Adam explained each course before serving, except no one had to pack their knives and go! Every course was fabulous, and I think everyone had different favorites - Mine was the fried chicken. One other bonus was he recommended wine pairings for each, but I was able to buy them myself at retail cost not restaurant cost! Most importantly, he cleaned up after as if they weren't even there! If you want to do a special dinner party, I highly recommend Adam Small Cooks! (P.S. We forgot to take a picture of the desserts, trust me, they were decadent!)

    We had Adam cook our anniversary dinner, as we just got new puppies and were looking for something special at home. Adam was very well prepared and came on time, plus he was very easy to work with. He cooked a 5 course meal for us. 1st course:  Smoked Butternut squash soup.   2nd course:  Trout Roe & Charred Onion Dip 3rd course:  Ash Roasted Beets salad  4th course:  Herb Roasted Lamb Loin 5th course:  Port Poached Pear He brought everything with him and set the table up very nicely for us. All the dishes were very high quality with great presentation and we really enjoyed them. I'd recommend Adam's services to anyone!

    Adam made an incredible dinner for two couples during a recent trip to Sonoma. He came to our Airbnb and made an amazing 6 course tasting menu. He brought everything in and provided amazing service and his food was insane. One of the best experiences, we've had and a big highlight to the trip.

    I had just about given up searching for a caterer for my husband's 50th birthday party (about 35 family and friends) when I came across Adam's Yelp page. What a stroke of luck! The experience was top notch from start to finish. He was responsive, flexible and helpful during the planning phase, offered exciting menu options, and was even kind enough to reschedule the date when COVID interfered with our Plan A. Of course the most important part is the food! Everything he served was delicious, vibrant, beautifully composed and elicited so many compliments. The tomato tart was a smash hit, the salmon tender and flavorful and the burrata with chickpeas downright addictive. But the ash roasted beets were the star of the show. Adam and his assistant Rob were beyond professional. I hope we can work together again in the future.

It was clear from early on she was knowledgeable in her trade and had great questions and tools to help guide us along. We wanted to do an Italian dinner for my dad's 70th birthday, and Italian showed up as one of Sweet Melissa's specialities when searching on Yelp-score! She provided me a sample menu with many delicious sounding options, but also was willing to customize to my dad's favorites. I host parties a lot and you sometimes don't really get to enjoy the event as you are working to get everything ready for your guests. Hiring Melissa allowed us to just enjoy the celebration. All we had to do was clear some space for her to work and she did the rest. She arrived about an hour and a half before the event to do her prep. She was as lovely as could be as was her assistant. The food courses were nicely timed with our three appetizers of brie and pear crostini, shrimp scampi bites, and caprese skewers ready as guests arrived and socialized. All three were delicious, but glad I listened to her recommendation on the crostini as it was so good. Everyone commented on how amazing the house smelled as they arrived. It was also fun watching her work in your house and getting freshly made food! Next was the big buffet of Caesar salad, pesto and tomato basil sauces pastas, roasted brussel sprouts with pancetta, chicken parmigiana, and Italian sausages in a balsamic reduction. The spread was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. There was plenty of food for all and I got such amazing feedback from our guests on how everything tasted. I would normally not of picked the Italian sausage in onions, roasted grapes, and balsamic wine reduction but Melissa told me it was one of her favorites dishes, and I think it turned out to be mine! So unique, so tasty and well executed. I had never had Italian sausages like that before, but hope to again. I honestly could say amazing things about everything we had. Melissa did not misrepresent herself in saying Italian is her specialty. My dad was SO happy and felt this evening was so special. Goal achieved! After the meal, she cleaned up so well you honestly would of never known she was there. This also included her boxing up any leftovers for us, which was a nice touch. Not having a big clean up to do after hosting the event was also amazing. I wish I could have a private chef everyday! But I highly suggest doing this at least for a special occasion and recommend doing it with Melissa. From looking at her website, she does all kinds of other cuisines that also sound delicious. She helped create the special, personalized, and delicious evening we were looking for!

We wanted to do something special for a milestone birthday party for our dad, and he just absolutely loves Italian food, particularly chicken parmigiana. We shopped around for anything from catering to personal chefs specializing in Italian food, and decided a private dinner made fresh in house was just the ticket. Melissa was very responsive via email, and indicated that Italian is one of her specialties. She worked with us to create a menu Dad would love, blending her own suggestions with a couple of special requests from us. On the day, Melissa and her staff arrived on time and got right to work preparing everything in our kitchen with a little help from her own tools. Throughout the event, she kept the space clean, the food line filled, and even did some bussing at the dinner table. She was exceptionally personable with us and the guests, and when she left, there was absolutely zero work for us to do. She cleaned everything, packed up all leftovers and stocked our fridge, and took out all trash. As far as the taste of the food, absolutely no complaints on this end! We had appetizers of shrimp scampi and caprese skewers while everyone arrived, and then flowed into a buffet style dinner. We opted for a ready-dressed Caesar salad, and her homemade dressing was spot on. For dinner, the highlight for dad was the chicken parm. Everyone had a wonderfully breaded chicken cutlet, adorned with fresh mozzarella and topped with a very tasty marinara. This along with her delicious take on Italian sausage in a reduced wine, grape, and balsamic sauce were amazing proteins. Pasta was plentiful as an accompaniment, both a fusilli pesto and papardelle noodles in marinara. For some veggies, she did a wonderful roast brussel sprouts with pancetta and balsamic. We had cake and ice cream for dessert, but I have no doubt if we'd asked her to do that, it would have been amazing too. All in all, I absolutely recommend using Sweet Melissa's for your personal chef and catering needs, you can rest assured you're making the right decision!

Chef ken was also very helpful in helping us pick out the dish wear and arranged all of the rental dishware which made the process easy. The only problems we had with Chef Ken was that he can often be non-responsive and difficult to get in touch with through email. He's definitely busy and has multiple private events going on but at times we had to really hunt him down. It was difficult also because his secretary went on vacation around the time of the wedding so I think he was managing everything on his own. Also, I would also get everything written in bullet points for Chef Ken as he's definitely busy and it's easy for him to forget things we agreed on such as quantity of amount of certain dishes, rental numbers, types of food we ordered, deduction of the initial taste testing, etc. Small things but it changes the overall invoice and required a bunch of redoing of the invoices. He also said he would help us come up with a custom drink menu for our wedding which we ended up scrambling at the end to make our own menu. Again, I think there was just too much for Chef Ken to do on his own without extra help. Overall though, the wedding day went extremely smoothly with no issues. The staff he hired was solid and exceptional. The bartenders were awesome and fun. The food including the entrees, dessert and appetizers were amazing and it was unanimous from the guests that the food at our wedding was by far the best from any other wedding they've been to. Highlights was everyone loves the Miso Chilean Sea bass, Korean Street Tacos, Poke Tacos and the Tomahawk steak. My personal favorite was the Garlic Noodles!

All of my long-term health issues were under control and all the bloodwork was in target ranges. And I had lost 20 pounds. Chef Savvy's food was a huge part of that. Having predictably clean and healthy food every night has cut down on the junk convenience food that was clogging my arteries. I eat healthy by default, rather than trying to force myself. She also takes into account dietary preferences and modifies recipes as necessary. We are very happy we found her!

But after having a truly stellar meal with Chef Stephen, I can wholeheartedly recommend Pocket Chefs! Here's how it works: the chefs can make 3 dishes that comprise about 4-6 servings and you provide the recipes and ingredients. Free consultation included (a couple of quick 5-minute phone convos). If you really have no idea what to have made, you can pay to have a more in-depth consultation where they craft custom meal plans for you. Although these services are ideal for meal prep for a busy week, we had Chef Stephen cook for a small dinner party of 4 and it was a hit (we also had a weekend full of leftovers which was perfect). We requested Thai food (pad kee mao aka drunken noodles with chicken, pad kra pao aka Thai basil eggplant with ground pork, and som tam aka papaya salad) and he delivered! The recipes weren't followed 100% but it was all good and the result was for some very tasty food. What was great was that the hot dishes reheated nicely too (my husband thought they even tasted better the second day)! Finally, we appreciated how clean Chef Stephen was and that all used dishes and utensils were placed neatly in the dishwasher. All and all, I would say this is a really great and efficient service, especially for folks with diet restrictions and/or who want to eat more healthily but who also want more control in terms of what they eat (hence my hesitation about subscribing to food delivery services as what if the flavors that week don't match my cravings?!). I think PocketChefs would also make an incredible gift for a new mom as well as if you're hosting a small party and would like some meals prepped!

So while my children were consuming their carb focused meals, I didn't have to go hungry or feel guilty for eating their food as I was able to defrost and eat a delicious Whole30 prepared meal. I found Nutrigastro through Yelp, and from the moment I reached out, they exceeded every expectation! Their response time was immediate, and within minutes, I had a curated menu tailored perfectly to my requests. My contact person was initially Yeye who helped me curate the perfect menu on yelp and then Ericka directly to coordinate everything else including payment. The pricing I think is perfect for the experience. Chef Hakeem and Chef Leo were incredible. Their fluidity in the kitchen was unmatched, and they went above and beyond to deliver a menu that not only matched my vision but tasted even better than I could have dreamed. Every dish was absolute perfection: Homemade Caesar Salad: Crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed. Lobster Bisque: Rich, creamy, and decadent. Surf & Turf: Lobster and ribeye steak cooked to perfection, paired with garlic mashed potatoes and tender broccolini. Dessert: A phenomenal homemade cheesecake topped with a strawberry rose and fruit compote. The dinner started exactly on time, and they handled everything with such professionalism, even cleaning up the kitchen so well it looked like no one had ever been there! They provided their own serving plates and utensils, while I added a few personal touches like a tablecloth, candles, and decorations. I cannot recommend Nutrigastro enough.
