I got six estimates on a new roof for our house and garage. Chris Tyson from KTM came out, was knowlegable, did not try to sell me, wasn't afraid to let me know some of my ideas were not good and paid attention to details that I did not notice on our roof. Although their estimate was not the lowest, I felt confident to proceed and was not disappointed. A 12 person crew came out and did the job in one day. I usually have something to complain about a company, but honestly can't find one with KTM. This looks like it was written by family member of the company, but was not. Ktm did decent work on our roof last november after Hurricane Irma. We paid in cash and then ninety days later they said they never received it and were going to start lien procedures on our home if we didnt provide proof of payment! Like WE did something wrong and WE had to prove ourselves. I provided the PAID receipt in person and was greeted with attitude and asked to leave. Ask what subcontractor KTM is sending to your house.And google the subcontractor. It makes all the difference. Team that reroofed our house left sloppy finishes and severely damaged our leafguard gutters. So far, amelioration was two guys with claw hammers. I love our salesman. But his subcontractor did him dirty. And so far we're stuck looking at poor workmanship that's quite visible. read more

I am reading some of the reviews here shaking my head in disbelief. KTM replaced my roof 11 years ago and did a super job. Did have an incident where they pierced an AC line but owned up to it, had it fixed and no issues. Easy to deal with. When I got estimates, KTM was not the lowest but I felt had the best approach. Tim was super IMO. Recently we noticed a missing shingle. James Egan came out and looked at it and said it was only discolored and nothing was wrong. Not a word about payment but he did say I hope I hear from you in 10-15 years. And they will. IMO - Super folks and super service. read more

Update on Previous Review: In October of this last year, we had KTM come out to replace our gutters and they worked great initially. During our inspection and estimate, their representative suggested that we divert one drain from draining underneath the home via a previously installed downspout drain to draining off to the side because of some overflow from the downspout. He did a cursory test of where the water flowed and recommended that we change the flow of drainage based on what he saw despite not knowing the the cause of the overflow in the downspout drain. We trusted him based on his experience and the company's reputation. That, unfortunately, has been a major mistake and a costly recommendation. As the rainy season hit, we have discovered significant leaking in our garage on the wall closest to where the water was diverted. After speaking with several foundation experts, they all believe that the water accumulation against the foundation is due to the water coming from that gutter. We have spent hours sweeping out water from our garage and now face the substantial financial cost of trying to fix water accumulation caused by the water diverted per their suggestion. Please be aware of any recommendation from their technicians and make sure they carefully and thoroughly consider where water flows and drains before making any changes. It is because of the cursory and superficial look at the drainage that we now have foundation damage. read more

We got KTM Roofing to install some Gutter Gloves to our gutters. The previous roofing guys, who came to our house to quote their gutter guards, were super sales people. They used high-pressure sales tactics to try to get the sale. However, KTM Roofing was much different. The representative that came for KTM Roofing acted mellow, friendly, and knowledgeable. He didn't seem pushy and gave a lot of information about their product. Even though he came to show me their Gutter Gloves, he also looked at other stuff in my roof when I asked. Once again, he looked at my roof and wasn't pushy about anything that needed to be done. He just told me what he noticed. Other salespeople would've tried to sell me on other stuff that needed to be done on my roof. I liked his demonstation of his Gutter Gloves. He had a small piece of "roof" in his van and showed me exactly how it worked. I loved the interactive demonstation that he gave and answered a lot of questions in a professional manner. That pretty much sold it for me right there. Since he was knowledgeable and did not use high-pressure sales tactics, I decided to go with KTM Roofting to install my gutter gloves. They came and did a professional job on our gutters. Those Gutter Gloves are still on my roof, a year later, working like they're suppose to. Now I don't have to clean my gutters again. If I need anything else done to my roof, I'll definitely call KTM roofing. read more

KTM did an excellent job installing our new roof about 5 years ago. We continue to be very pleased with their high quality customer service having experienced a problem several months ago. A single nail began to pop up from under a shingle due to weather and it was pushing the shingle up. I called KTM's office and they scheduled someone to come within just a few days. It was Richard McLoughlin and he arrived right on schedule and immediately went up on the roof. He removed the problem-nail from under the shingle, filled the old nail-hole with filler, applied glue-like material under the shingles and the shingle laid down flat on the roof--it was like new. He then inspected the rest of the roof while he was up there and confirmed everything was good. His work was all covered under the warranty. KTM takes Great care of their customers. I continue to highly recommend their people and workmanship. read more

We are very pleased to have KTM roofing to replace the whole roof. Within just few days after call, the consultant visited our house for estimate. He is very polite and friendly with extended knowledge. We received clear, precise and comprehensive estimation and information on materials, works, warranties and payment options. He had also clearly explain the time frame and work procedures and job scope... etc. We have also invited 3 others companies, 1 is recommended by insurance company, for price comparison. KTM roofing appears providing an honest and fair competitive estimate. It took about 2 weeks waiting for actual installation date upon we decided to hire KTM roofing. This was a reasonable wait time to us considering the Spring peak season. One day before the scheduled installation date, the trailer and material are arrived on our drive way. The working crew are consisting 4-5 man team. The supervisor came in and out for monitoring the work process through out the day as well. The crew members were courteous, well-mannered and professional hard workers. The job was completed within promised timeline. The trailer full with debris and rubbish materials were pulled away 1 day after the job completion. Our driveway remained clean and nice like nothing ever happen before. We are very satisfied for the level of workmanship and quality preformed. The finished project met all the standards promised in the proposal. The whole process ran smooth and worry free. Do not deal with this company. They are a very shady company that is attempting to force homeowners into using there company instead of the contractor of there choice. They are in cahoots with a few insurance adjusters who are making a kick back off insurance claims. The adjuster even went so far as to changing the claim # so the contractor who worked and labored to get the roof approved could not access any information and will lead you to believe that if you do not use there company then the claim will not be approved for repairs. My advise is to stay away! read more

Hate to give a low rating, as the roof looks great and only took one day. It is other issues that made my experience so bad. After the roof was done, I went into attic and noticed they had pulled furnace vent pipe up when replacing cap, so pipe does not join anymore - which would allow carbon monoxide to enter my home. I pointed it out, and there was no concern, only a piece of metal wrapped around to hold it closer to other pipe section. Has been 6 weeks, and still not fixed. They got tar on new deck, left tar marks on white stucco house, and ripped 3 screens. To their credit they cleaned house marks and repaired screens - different color, but at least an attempt. Bigger problem came with gutter crew a few days later. Despite a signed contract saying they would repair minor soffit damage (at my cost), but when crew saw the two small spots they said they do NOT do that work as it was "extensive damage", and that we needed a carpenter. So, they left without installing any gutters on the house, and when we got heavy (4") rain the next weekend, water poured off roof and sat against house, seeping into my basement and damaging carpet, pad, and leaving moldy tack strips. I made sure KTM knew of this issue, and other than "sorry" - no offer was made to repair that damage, which was completely unavoidable. IF gutter crew had done what they agreed to in writing, there would have been no water damage. They sent a contractor a week later who estimated $1760 to fix two small soffit spots and paint fascia board only. I hired handyman and had work done, including painting soffit and fascia, for half that amount. They sent someone who was very nice to fix furnace pipe, but he could not fix it, and no follow up weeks later. Kind of standard procedure it seems... I paid for the roof promply when billed, despite no one fixing the issues that remained. Is now 6+ weeks, and they still have not fixed furnace pipe (dangerous, I sealed with duct tape). I was very impressed by their professionalism during the quote phase, but since roof was put on - they have dropped the ball on every detail. I now a bill for gutters which were installed weeks after promised, with damage done. For that reason, I cannot in good faith recommend using KTM. read more

They put my roof on in 2012. Years later I had a leak in my ceiling. They came out quickly and went up to my attic. They found a leak in a pipe and fixed it for me. The roof was fine and I have not had issues with the pipe since. They could have lied and scammed me out of a roof repair but they were honest. That is so rare in this industry. read more

The office staff was very friendly when I called to request an estimate and the gentleman that came by to give the estimate was very knowledgeable. He explained the required repairs in a simple manner. The pricing for the repairs was VERY reasonable. We received 3 quotes and KTM beat all of their prices. Stay away from this company. They replaced my house roof in 2011, and after one year, the fireplace flashing started deattaching from the mortar and letting water in. They said the issue was the fireplace brick letting water in. They recommended another company to waterproof the brick because 'they don't do brick'; it worked for 2 years and now I have the same issue. A third company is looking into the problem now, and they found KTM had used a grinder to remove the original flashing, cutting into the mortar and the brick. It is surprising to see how many people have the same issue with this company. They create the mess and then say 'they don't do brick or stucco' read more

I had a roof leak. Richard came over and identified that the leak was either caused by the gutter to stucco attachement or by shingle flashing. He quoted two prices, one with and without warranty. In either case he would seal the gutter to shingle attachment. I took the one with warranty ($200 higher). After the job was finished the roof still leaked. They told me that the leak was caused by the gutter to stucco attachment and that they don't do stucco, and their warranty only applies to the new shingles they installed. read more

I can highly recommend KTM roofing. As a homeowner seeking a complete roof replacement, I called KTM Roofing (among others) for an estimate. Kevin Creek arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional in his evaluation of my roof and his explanation of what KTM proposed as a solution. He thoroughly explained each step in the process of re-roofing a home and provided pictorial examples of past jobs to detail each step. He also took time to explain why KTM chose to use certain materials and methods and why others were inferior (again, backed up with pictures). He provided a proposal with a reasonable cost and no pressure. Other companies I interviewed had "special deals" that were only valid for a very short period (must sign now!). I was treated with respect and not pressured at all with KTM. Once I set a date, Tim, the owner, called to confirm the delivery of materials and again go over the particulars of the job. The materials arrived as scheduled and the next day I met Edwin, the foreman, and his crew. Very personable and willing to answer any of my questions, Edwin was a joy to work with. I was surprised to see that only half of my roof was removed. Edwin explained that this was a two-day job and that they would not just strip my roof bare if they couldn't re-roof it all the first day. Some of my neighbors (who did not use KTM) were not as fortunate and had bare roofs getting wet because their crews couldn't finish in one day. KTM planned our roof job for a period of good weather but still took the precaution of not tearing it all off the first day. Day two and I had a brand new roof. Everything was as promised. When Edwin and his crew left there was no evidence that they had ever been there (except the new roof!). Everything was neat and clean. I give KTM my highest recommendation. read more

We have a synthetic slate roof and not many roofers deal with this material. I called KTM after researching roof companies that dealt with slate. The original sales person was very nice and informative, we did not have a leak but my painter discovered some rotten wood near the roof line and thought it was because of some broken tiles and nail exposure. KTM said that someone would call me from the office to set up an appointment....I never got a call so I called them back. They finally came out to replace all the broken shingles on my roof and the rotten wood. A week or so after the repair there was a lot of rain and we had several spots on the ceiling under where they had just done the work. They blamed it on the sealing from the house to the roof but I would have thought when they were on the roof fixing the tiles they would have noticed this problem and fixed it while they were up there. Leonard came out and sealed off where the house and roof meet. We had not had any problems until a few weeks ago and Atlanta had several days of rain and again we got a huge water spot on our ceiling. Leonard came back out and said he thought it had something to do with the chimney and someone would call to set up an appointment. The appointment was set for August 16 for which no one showed up. I called the office to find out what happened and was told (after several tries) that the guys came on Aug 14 and fixed the problem. I find this hard to believe because I was home most of the day and never saw or heard anyone doing a roof repair. I guess I'll have to wait until the next rain to find out for sure. read more

If anyone is looking for their roof to be redoned, I really reccommend this company. We hired them last summer to replace our roof + skylights and the entire process was 95% hassle-free. The guy who came to give us an estimate never pushed for an immediate decision. He actually even told us to get second opinions and take our time. Everything was printed out in details so we'd know exactly what we were paying for. Their price isn't cheap, but it's reasonable, more or less what the others offer. It took them one day (with the help of good weather) for the roof and another for the skylights. They cleaned up well and sent us the warranty as promised. I wish they do other works beside roofing now that we also need the sidings repainted, because I feel iffy everytime I call someone new. read more

I would not recommend using this company. I contracted with KTM to repair a leaky rook. They were supposed to replace two roof deck board that had holes in them and patch the roof. They did neither and during the severe rain we had in December, the leak worsened and became a stream of water. The insulation got wet and my ceiling fell. Once the ceiling had fallen, I could see the rafters and the roof deck boards. The board that had the hole in it and was supposed to be replaced had a shingle over it and a nail driven through it (I've got pictures). KTM sent another roofer out to repair, the initial repair. He did more work than the first two who came out. He replaced one of the boards and re-patched the roof. He did not replace the second board. read more

My family and I put our trust and confidence in KTM Roofing Company when we chose them to replace our roof 6 years ago. We were given a 10 year workmanship warranty. Within 2 years of the roof replacement, we had a huge leak in one of the bedrooms. We called KTM for service, but they could not find anything from this huge downpour of water that leaked on our carpet when it rained heavily. Over the next couple of years, the roof leaked on two other occasions when it rained heavily. I called KTM roofing company again for this ongoing issue, and James came out and found what he believed was the problem, but he refused to share with me what he thought the problem was. He stated how he had to show a picture of the potential problem to his supervisor to see if it was covered under warranty and he would get back with me soon. More than a week later, I still had not heard from him, so I decided to call James to find out the status of our roof. His reply was that he would call me in a couple of days and let me know what they decided about our roof being under warranty. Well, more than 2 weeks had passed, so I decided to give KTM Roofing another call only to learn that the roof is not under warranty (so they say). Whether our roof was covered under warranty or not, I needed to know as soon as possible so this leak issue could be resolved to prevent further damage to our home, especially since it had been storming over the past several days. By the way, KTM never told me what they thought the problem was, even after they told me that it's not covered under warranty. At this point, I'm not quite sure that they even know what the problem is! I thought one of KTM's visions was to be considerate and respectful of their clients. However, I found this to be untrue. KTM didn't even have the common decency and courtesy to put a tarp over the potential problem (until they could complete their research on whether it would be covered under warranty) to make sure our house wouldn't be further damaged by the constant rain!! Because of KTM's poor service, I will not put my trust in them any longer. I will now seek a reliable and honest roofing company to take care of our roofing repairs. read more

I had KTM Roofing do a totally roofing job for me this winter. The whole experience was completely unprofessional. My wife was originally told that they could have the roof completely repaired one week after the estimate. It took over a month, and multiple emails and phone calls later. Once the roofing job finally began, the workers didn't put up the tarps on the front of my house to protect my house from the ladders and prevent nails and debris to get all of my lawn, they didn't put any protective tarps down from preventing nails and debris from getting all in my attic, and even though my wife told the crew that a storm was coming on the day that they wanted to start the roofing job, they went ahead and took our old roof off and then it started storming and they had to put a tarp on and wait until the next day to finish the job. We were really lucky that the tarp held, because the storm was very intense. On top of all of this no one would send us the documentation we need to get the insurance check released from our mortgage company. We had asked for 3 months, and when my wife spoke to the owner he was horribly rude, and unprofessional. We actually had 2 of his staff say that he shouldn't be allowed to talk to customers because of his rudeness. We would never be able to recommend this company in good conscience. read more
