I have a six year old Dell desktop computer that had issues starting. I tried fixing it myself, but the doggone thing just wouldn't start up. It's a backup of a backup computer, so it wasn't vital to get fixed right away, so it sat for a while in my office. I took it to Dror last week with the advice that I wasn't in a hurry for it to be fixed. My IMac's performance slowed down considerably and there were other anomalies (like not being able to update Norton anti-virus software updates) that led me to check around for help. I got responses and quotes from four companies, but glad I trusted my instincts and Yelp reviews when choosing KTech 1. I encountered prompt responses and follow up and professionalism from start to finish. We set up a remote session yesterday morning. Indicative of my problems, it took forever for the software updates (allowing for remote control) to upload and be installed. And for good measure, there were a couple of hiccups in the process that prolonged matters. Dror could not have been more patient, understanding and methodical throughout the process. He was eventually able to gain access and I observed as he went about his business. In about 15 minutes, things were up and running smoothly; 24 hours later that is still the case. This is my first review. I believe in judging based on a bell shaped curve where 40% receive three stars, 20% 4 stars and 10% five stars. I am very critical but feel that the public should know how well KTech1 Computer Services conducts their business. It is pretty much a family business that believes in good service at a reasonable price. They don't advertise but gain business based on referrals. They were prompt in responding to my needs, got the work done in short order, did a good job and charged what was less than what I consider a fair price. As an owner of a veterinary cardiac monitoring company my medical computers are critical to the care I provide for my clients and patients. When one of the most vital computers stopped working I called several places frantically looking for help. The quickest response time was 5 days! I didn't even have 1 day. I called KTech1 and Brad came out within the hour (literally). It ended up needing more extensive work in their office but when it was fixed they brought it back to me and set it up. When I received the invoice I was shocked at how low it was considering the emergency response. It was well below what I had anticipated. They went above and beyond any company I have ever dealt with and being new to El Dorado Hills I'm so glad there is someone so close by with their expertise. Plus, it's a family run business. I can't trust my computers to just any company as much of the software is propitiatory and installed on old Dell computers with Microsoft XP (yes old) and if someone without the extensive knowledge it takes to work on this specialized software, it could put me out of business.
